Buddhist Power vs Non-Buddhist Power

As per the Sri Lankan Constitution, Buddhism is afforded foremost status of all religions in Sri Lanka. This is in breach of the principles of democracy based on zero advantage as per the law/constitution – except to make amends – such as article 1.4 of  the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination which states:

[Special measures taken for the sole purpose of securing adequate advancement of certain racial or ethnic groups or individuals requiring such protection as may be necessary in order to ensure such groups or individuals equal enjoyment or exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms shall not be deemed racial discrimination, provided, however, that such measures do not, as a consequence, lead to the maintenance of separate rights for different racial groups and that they shall not be continued after the objectives for which they were taken have been achieved.]
Given that the Buddhists are not a disadvantaged group in Sri Lanka – the above principles do not apply to the Buddhism foremost clause. It is the opposite of the above by advantaging Buddhists which automatically dilutes the value of Buddhist investment in democracy.

The current Constitution of Sri Lanka divides Sri Lanka into Buddhists and Non-Buddhists. One who abides by this constitution would access the faith of the whole through her/his truth.  In other words, those who remain within their small space and live within the boundaries of their own faith would be blessed by Absolute power of true faith – including by  Buddha.

I learnt this lesson in 2009 when I was seated in the office of a high official within the Health Ministry. The official tried to provoke me about ‘not claiming separate state’ but I endured that injustice quietly – due to my awareness of the need of victims of war in the camps. They needed to ‘see’ their own people so they did not feel abandoned. I quietly prayed to Lord Buddha through the big statue in the room. I did receive the approval. There were some who were parallels of the above officer who did not have the real authority of faith to ‘tell’ me, but did tell me. But the few who were true – facilitated my passage on the basis of my own dignity. The latter are Buddha’s disciples.
As per Buddhism Foremost article in the constitution, a Buddhist officer had the authority to ‘tell’ another Buddhist but not ‘tell’ a non-Buddhist.

Politicians may ignore the breach of Basic Human Right in the Sri Lankan constitution, to be free as a common community, but Truth will compensate victims in Its own way. We identify with this Truth when we look within  and are free of external influences. As per that truth – one driven by true Buddhist majority power – can be defeated by true non-Buddhist power. It is that true Buddhist power that was beaten by Tamils majority of whom are non-Buddhists – invoking their respective religious powers from within. That is what Sathya Graham is all about. We go into our own Truth.
I believe that Tamil National Alliance - TNA became the  medium of that power by exposing the breaches of Buddhists in the 2009 war. They were supported by Hindu, Muslim and Christian power which when given form as per global structures had the capability to defeat the Buddhist President who  acted in breach of the very Constitution that he swore to uphold.  Every non-Buddhist investor in Sri Lankan governance – had the power to vote against such a president which manifests itself when a believer has the need. When Buddhist leaders ‘show’ faith in Hindu temples – such as Kathirgamam Murugan temple – they act in breach of the Constitution.  They have to first eliminate Buddhism foremost article from the constitution to qualify for such shows of multiculturalism.

As per  Mahinda Rajapaksa responded saying that they acted with an understanding of the general public in North and Eastern areas.

He says that although North-Eastern people vote parties into power, those parties support the government by representing the opposition parties.

TNA has the responsibility to support the side that connects all non-Buddhists of Sri Lanka, to the above mentioned global powers – including groups driven by their faith in the secular system. By showing support for Mr Rajapaksa, the ‘Wanni-graduates’ group is confirming  the pattern of events that led to the defeat of the UNP in the 2005 Presidential elections – after LTTE threatened the Tamil voters. Back then if TNA had supported the UNP – we would not have had the 2009 war and the suffering that Tamils are currently complaining of. Both dictator groups joined forces to defeat democracy in 2005.

Those who see ‘benefits’ first become blind to belief and v.v. The Tamil community needs a strong self-governing structure in which every independent citizen would feel free to develop structures that confirm her / his faith. When such faith is true – it would not interfere with any other faith. They would not meet – nor reconcile – but would travel harmoniously at the physical level – respectfully keeping their distance from other faiths. This leads non-Buddhist Sri Lankans to democratic governance more quickly than Buddhist Sri Lankans and those who collude with them.
Buddhist officers working in non-Buddhist  areas  – including the current Governor of Northern Sri Lanka who is recognised as a Buddhist – are handicapped by the Buddhism foremost article to which they have the duty to show respect as ‘insiders’.  This requires them to facilitate self-governance by Non-Buddhist but not directly Administer non-Buddhists.

We become One group through common faith. Buddhism foremost clause recognizes that we are not of one faith. Every non-Buddhist who fought against such Administration for which s/he was punished was punished unjustly and has the power to return the karma through her/his own faith. The punishment so returned  becomes a curse to Buddhist custodians of power who failed to follow Buddhist tenets in war.

We do not need the UN to judge. When we find the truth – we have the duty to develop reliable structures within the boundaries of our respective faiths. Natural powers will certainly support us.
