Racism
& Ignorance
[The Joint Opposition (JO) announced that they would
apply pressure on the Speaker to hand over the position of the Leader of the
Opposition to them. They would also canvass heavily in this connection within
the Parliament, and elsewhere, both locally and internationally. ] Ceylon
Today article - Jo to apply pressure on
Speaker
To
most readers the above may not mean racism. It does to me. When our brain is
used to ‘avoiding’ the rule of law, there is no order in our thinking. Then the
order that ‘happens’ in a ‘free’ environment is the Truth of the person and
that Truth manifests Itself when there is someone in need in that environment,
for such manifestation.
I
realised this when the New South Wales Police listed me as ‘Sri Lankan’ despite
my protests that I was Australian by law. The police were already brainwashed
by senior administrators of the University of NSW who failed to uphold my
position as per my earned credits on merit basis – which was already endorsed
by the Medical faculty of the University through actual experience. Given that
the police officers were juniors in academic investment, it was easy for
academics carrying high social status to manipulate the thinking of the average
police officer. Once a person is demoted by her/himself, the demoting authority
controls that person’s mind. When that happens outside merit basis, then it is
subjective power by that authority. The authority may not consciously know this
but what comes out in that ‘free-environment’ – meaning free of merit based
application of rule of law, is the Truth that that person in authority thinks
less of a person and/or has become the medium through whom someone is
manifesting the effects of unlawful demotion.
How
does one then measure whether such was indeed racial discrimination or
expression of common ego?
The
law enforcement authority has the right to interpret the law and act as per the
law, until proven they are wrong at the higher level. But it is the victim’s
right to express how s/he received the actions/words at that time, at that
place. The higher authority concerned may or may not accept and include that in
their reasoning. Unless there is equal footing on which such expression of
belief is included in the mind of the decision making authority, the manifested
outcome would not uphold democracy.
Section
9 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act
1975 of Australia includes this ‘effects based’ assessment as follows:
[It is
unlawful for a person to do any act involving a distinction, exclusion,
restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent or national or ethnic
origin which has the purpose or effect
of nullifying or impairing the
recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of any human right
or fundamental freedom in the political, economic, social, cultural or any
other field of public life.]
A simple application of the stated law in the
name of which I was found guilty of ‘trespass’
by the University Administrators through the Police, would have resulted in a
truly lawful outcome that I was ‘not guilty’. To my mind, it was ‘peaceful
assembly’ of non-cooperation. I proved
this in Court after attending the proceedings at that court and working out how
their mind functioned. But they actions continued because there was no lawful
measure within the authorities concerned.
But Truth being what it is – I had the parallel
of ‘foreign judges’ recommended by the UN to the Sri Lankan Government. Mine
needed no recommendation. The summary of my book ‘Naan Australian’ is presented
as follows by the National Library of Australia:
[History of a race discrimination case towards
an Australian Tamil citizen of Sri Lankan origin by University of New South
Wales.]
I
now thank the Natural Energies that work independent of me also to uphold the
Truth to the extent of my own investment in Truth.
To
my mind the Tamil National Alliance became the Leading Opposition in Sri Lankan
National Parliament through such an Energy. That manifestation confirmed that
(1) Tamils were unjustly discriminated against and (2) by absorbing that pain
without taking revenge they were/are able to work the system from within. This
is also the power of One citizen who believes. In essence if even one Sri
Lankan who believes s/he is Sri Lankan and expresses that without fearing ‘outcomes’
the environment in which s/he has ownership investment – will become the medium
through which that Truth is upheld.
As
per the above report:
[The
JO is presently in discussions to ...embark on a series of protests calling for
the removal of the Leader of the Opposition, Rajavarothiam Sampanthan from the
post owing to the JO’s lack of confidence in him, United People’s Freedom
Alliance Matara District Parliamentarian Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena told Ceylon
Today.]
The Hon Rajavarothiam Sampanthan is taken to believe
he is Sri Lankan – until we know otherwise. As the representative of the
victims of the ethnic war – who believe that they underwent the pain due to
being Tamils, Mr Sampanthan carries the power if he needs the support of fellow
Sri Lankans and the International community that has invested in racial
equality, to manifest the investment made by the global community in the system
of democracy. Using majority rule at the numbers level – is to oppose the
Natural Energy of true investors in Democracy.
The Joint Opposition is expected to lack confidence
in Tamil National Alliance who were
divided due to ruling by benefits and not by law. This happened not only by
Tamils of Sri Lanka, but also by India’s investment in democracy which would
naturally oppose China’s invasion through ports such as Hambantota in Southern
Sri Lanka, which was leased to China for 99 years due to commitments made by
the Rajapaksa Government.
One
who tries to fool her/his own community by demoting a truly equal opposition,
ends up fooling her/himself . It is the sense of Independence that one feels that makes one Equal to a group that
is apparently larger by numbers. The other side needs at least one such
independent person to prevent that return karma. In this instance, the Joint
Opposition that in spirit is led by Mr Rajapaksa needs such a member to prevent
such return which could seriously damage Southerners more than Northerners who
are protected by India’s Natural forces through common investment in Hinduism.
The
signs are surfacing through Hindu Temple Kathirgamam, a sacred area close to
Hambantota, as follows:
[The Basnayake
Nilame of Ruhuna Kataragama Devalaya, D. P. Kumarage had been suspended from
his post, Minister of Buddha Sasana Gamini Jayawickrama Perera said today.]
The
first question that comes to my mind is ‘Is Kathirgamam Temple- Ruhuna
Kataragama Devalaya- Hindu or Buddhist?’ If Hindu, why is the
Minister for Buddha Sasana representing the Government in this issue? If
Buddhist why is the presiding Deity Lord Muruga – who represents Hindu
philosophy and not Buddha?
Belief renders one perfect order. Chinese have never
sung the praise of Kathirgamam. Indian Tamils have. One could therefore follow
logic in Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa losing power in Hambantota and running to Kurunegala
where Lord Buddha is the Presiding Deity – as part of Natural post-war restructure. It would be
unwise to disturb that natural displacement by unlawfully ousting the Hon Rajavarothiam
Sampanthan who represents Hindu Tamils also.
The Rajapaksa
clan are indebted to those who invested in Democratic rule for enjoying the
ruling position in Sri Lanka. Seeking to takeover the leading Official Opposition position in
Parliament would be disastrous to them. If they truly believe – all they have
to do is invoke Article 9 of the Constitution and therefore ‘Buddhism foremost’
and the masses would deliver as per their belief. But before then they must
renounce their claim that Sri Lanka is a Sovereign nation, measured through the system of
Democracy.
