Lord of Minorities

Seeing the picture of the Common Opposition Candidate in the Sri Lankan Presidential Elections 2015 -  Mr. Maithripala Sirisena at Kathirgamam – in the Sri Lanka Guardian article Political Culture Of Sri Lanka by Helasingha Bandara I thought of the time I received sweet rice at Kathirgamam in 2005.  The spot at which I received the sweet rice was slightly to the left of  the spot where Mr. Sirisena is standing in the picture and I recognized one of the Kapuralas (Sinhala Priests) as the one who gave me the sweet rice – mistaking me for a Sinhalese lady he was speaking to before the poojah (mass) commenced.

I thought of all that during meditation and thanked the Lord for recognizing my true faith in the Higher Powers and taking care of me when there was no one else to do so. That particular day in 2005 – was the day after I submitted the Tsunami Reconstruction proposal to the President (Mrs. Chandrika Kumaratunga at that time).  It was an unexpected success because I did not know any of the Ministerial staff of the Hon Douglas Devananda to have had subjective influence to join the party that was arranged to meet the President.  But I believe I worked at the highest standards in that Tsunami damaged area – and did so with faith.  Not only was my Tsunami proposal approved – but my dedication to thanksgiving was also rewarded when I went to Kathirgamam. I went alone using public transport and was very hungry. Despite being hungry I did not go in search of food but  took my place as one of the first in the queue to go into the temple for the poojah. The Sinhalese lady who was chatting to the Kapurala before the poojah – came in much later but stood next to me – almost at the spot where Mr. Sirisena is seen standing in the picture. But I got the rice meant for that lady. I took it to the Ganesh temple next door - with a Tamil priest and ate the rice. My heart melts when I think about the Grace of the Lord – who knew I needed food.

In his article The Presidential Election Is In The Lap Of The Gods?   Victor Cherubim also raises one’s thoughts in the issue of Presidential elections. Most of us know that there is the unseen and unknown influence of God in the outcomes that affect us – but not many of us actually pause to work it out – so we would not forget.   Those of us who do attribute – develop the ‘thanksgiving system’ within us.

Mr. Helasingha Bandara states  about election time in Sri Lanka - ‘The country has a circus atmosphere and it really is entertaining. For a whole month or so the poor and the rich alike are entertained. Indeed the entertainment value of this whole saga should not me undermined because at least for the poor masses, elections are the only means of entertainment.’

To a large degree, the reason for such entertainment is because the voter becomes important during this period.  To my mind, the more important question is ‘what does the voter need through the government?’ Most Sri Lankans, while praying to God for particular outcomes fail to attribute a portion of the enjoyment to that God – in thanksgiving. One Tamil lady said to me that soon after  she was married she had had the experience at Kathirgamam that taught her the lesson that no matter comes with ‘one side only’.  This lady who is tall by Lankan standards had experienced difficulty when getting her basket of offerings back after the poojah.  The lady said she had then prayed to Lord Muruga to give her a tall daughter.  Her first-born – a good-looking  daughter - is tall but they are experiencing difficulty finding a taller husband! This is also the lesson from Karpagatharu /‘Wish-Fulfilling’ tree mentioned in Hindu Bhagawath Geetha.  The roots of that tree are in Heaven and the branches in Earth. The tree hangs upside down.  One who wishes sweets from under the tree does get the wish but also with it the stomach-ache  that happens later. Lord Krishna says to Prince Arjuna to cut that tree across its trunk to disconnect the branches from the root.

To my mind, the branches produce matter / fruits but the root cause is in Truth known through God’s system. If we have not worked for such outcomes – we would have to pay later. If we have – and we project as per our mind – we leave no room for Lord’s contribution to the outcome in return for our faith. Once we lose consciousness of the fruits (denoted by cutting off the branches) we are in  a better position to recognize  the outcome through the Lord’s wholesome blessings.  When we ask for particular – we can only project as per our work and our imagination. But we would not know the higher component added through our faith in God. The earlier we seek the stronger the contribution from Above.

Today, someone wrote as follows in response to the upcoming elections:

[This is a very crucial time for Tamils as well as others to not to rock the boat and allow Mahinda to win another term. If that happened KP (former LTTE) will get the North and EAST on a platter, and you may have to get a VISA to travel to Jaffna.]

I responded :

[North & East under KP  may be more easily managed by Tamils – especially pro LTTE Tamils. As for visa to go to Jaffna – we already have to do that through MOD (Ministry of Defence)  clearance. By its very nature, the visa system confirms separation – exactly what the LTTE wanted. Combine Karuna (former LTTE  leader in the East), KP and the visa system – the Government has effectively delivered what the LTTE sought.   That is how Truth manifests Itself.   Look at the issue and you will see the beauty of Truth.

The more focused we are on the issue – the better our ability to influence outcomes through God’s system. I feel that this is why in the system of democracy - one is required to produce objectively measurable outcomes as confirmation of one’s independence. These outcomes once produced are open to be used by all concerned as per their own needs and desires. If they are not suitable – then the independent user would lose consciousness of them.

All of us develop a system as per our own genuine and independent contribution  - sometimes transparent and at others confidential. Ultimately it is that system that determines the value of the outcomes for us. Those driven by quick outcomes are likely to have the insight/third eye  to recognize the workings of this system. One without such insight would  get what he asks for at Kathirgamam, provided he has done enough praying to win at the surface level. If it is stomach-ache time for Sri Lankan  Government – then the loser is the real winner – saved by his deep faith in God. Such a person would contribute to Governance with or without portfolio.  Often this happens through Administration where the person is active. Administration is a combination of Governance and Voting values. Tamils with strong feelings of self-governance even though a minority in terms of voting power, become strong Administrators due to this reason. The vote of Tamils is largely symbolic in Presidential elections. It’s their governance power that be attractive to real leaders.

Every time a Sinhalese prays to Lord Muruga s/he bonds with Tamil minds. Tamils must learn the art of accepting that belief as the belief in minorities and work the system of minorities – as Lord Muruga is the Lord of Minorities. The 13^th Amendment to the Sri Lankan Constitution verified legally the claim of believers in Lord Muruga,  who walked from Jaffna in North through East Coast to Kathirgamam in South in their Belief. Belief is the basic entitlement to natural ownership.

The Test - Known Devil or the Unknown Angel?

Today’s mail brought message which probed the current situation in Sri Lanka - through the question  whether Mr. Maitripala Sirisena – the Common Candidate fielded against  Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa in Sri Lankan Presidential elections 2015 would deliver as promised?  To  many Mr. Sirisena is the unknown angel and Mr. Rajapksa the known devil.  The promises we make are our unknown angels. The unpleasant Truth we know about ourselves is the known devil.

We the citizens need to work out on the basis of the Truth we know about ourselves, whether the angel is real when we get to know the angel through the chosen position – in this instance that of President  with power to appoint Prime Minister. We have to use the promises as the  base – as it is difficult to work out on the basis of his conduct which until recently was seen as being in common with that of President Rajapaksa.

The main promise seems to be to abolish the Executive Presidency. To my mind, the Executive Presidency was the replacement of  the ‘Sinhala-Only’ claim.  It is therefore highly likely that unless there are firm commitments in place to prevent the resurgence of Sinhala-Only attitude by Sinhala politicians – the abolishment of the Executive Presidency would pave the way for form change of  majority’s claim to use the path they are comfortable with. When we have a disease and we keep it confidential for the purpose of curing it without disturbance – that is confirmation that we are traveling in the path of sovereignty. But when we cover up due to fear of losing benefits/pleasures – then the disease evolves into another form with greater strength due to suppression and manifests itself. To my mind that is how Sinhala Only evolved as the Executive Presidency – with  additional strength and where there is no Tamil Opposition – it would be directed at the very race that elects government. This is why they say that we get the government we deserve.  

Those who are not able to feel Oneness with the people they govern need to consciously practice Equal Opportunity principles – through which today’s leader needs to become tomorrow’s follower. Given the losses and pain of the ethnic war – it is difficult to envisage pursuit of Oneness by Sri Lankan leaders on either side of the ethnic divide. Since we have not cured ourselves of racism we have to endure it – live with it. 

It is highly likely that India would continue to show its cultural clout through Tamils to subdue Sinhalese leaders – which resulted in the 13^th Amendment. At policy level the 13^th Amendment did compensate for the damages caused through Sinhala Only legislation. Later – inclusion of LTTE Karuna on the Government’s side did compensate for excesses by the Sri Lankan armed forces whom the ordinary Tamils have had to endure during the past three decades.   This credit collected by the Sri Lankan Government, has somewhat been diluted by the continued accusation of Terrorism foisted on the Tamil community by Sinhala leaders using LTTE. Each one of us contributes to the natural forces when there are genuine feelings invoked either way by such accusations.

It is noteworthy that Mr. Sirisena has not highlighted commitment to the 13^th Amendment to the Constitution.  Without positive commitment to the active implementation of the 13^th Amendment in regular administration, it is highly likely that the abolishment of the Executive Presidency  would effectively shift the greed for physical leadership to influence the leadership desires of  majority race to evolve in a form that would damage the investment made by all Sri Lankans in Multiculturalism and Democracy.

The Land belongs to all those to whom it is ‘home’.  The Law and its lower alternative – Politics through majority vote – can lead us to this goal. When they distract us from that path – the law must be abolished and the politician dismissed – so go it alone on the basis of our own Truth.

An American  friend wrote recently:

‘I’d rather have all the Christian Mexican and Latin illegals in the country than Hindus and Muslims.’

I responded as follows:

As an American in America with Christian majority you have the right to expect and express your preferences. Minorities do not have that right – because majority would have greater difficulty thinking in the mind order of minority. One can express preferences in areas where they are in the majority – for business purposes – so to speak - but they do not have the authority  to claim that as their right nor make it their law. The reason why ‘White Australia’ and Sinhala Only policies failed.

If we run away from our home without settling our debt to that home – we are running away all the time. Those who left Sri Lanka without settling our debt on Sri Lankan soil  - and conveniently ‘forget’ about such debts – become sinners in their new environments.  Running away evolves as chasing away when one thinks one is in power.

Tamils of Sri Lanka are without the support of laws to regulate their path towards realizing land/home ownership in their traditional areas. One can blame the LTTE – but to the extent homes were occupied by armed forces – above the level exercised down South during JVP rebellions – these are further confirmations of ongoing discrimination on the basis of race. If not addressed by the one claiming victory over LTTE – it would become a suppressed debt – the essence of which is carried through to the next life of that leadership position. Next  life happens  when the People give a different form to that leadership position. The debt then becomes irredeemable and becomes a sin that blocks the path of the person/group that suppressed the course of Nature. Like individuals sovereign nations also carry karma. Sins are shown as debilitations in the horoscope.   To the extent Tamils seek outcomes in this generation – they must do the work to preserve the International form given to the ethnic conflict. If  Tamils seek for Mr. Rajapaksa to win – then they are voting to preserve their work to be maintained at the global level. If  Tamils seek change in leadership – they must accept death of the problem in its current form and wait for the reborn leadership to manifest the new form of the same disease.

King Solomon’s Wisdom needed by Sri Lanka

Recently a group of us were discussing gender based Equal Opportunity  in relation to husband and wife. As per my observation, the way we practice this is likely to take diverse forms as per our respective environments.  In Australia as a migrant – I feel I now have the responsibility to consciously practice Equal Opportunity principles with other cultures. But when we are of the same culture – it seems more productive and harmonious to practice time based balancing of leadership so the structure would be wholesome/sovereign  for the next generation. If  the relationship under the leadership of one person fails to lead to the goal of Oneness / Truth / Love – then it is important that there is a restructure so that the junior takes over the senior position or becomes independent and traveling parallel with the senior - with Equal status as the senior. That is the progressive structure – including in the case of majority-minority relationships. Administrative structures must be such as to facilitate this change over to uphold the sovereignty as a whole. In a sovereign unit – every part must be sovereign.

Often, minorities also go along with majority;  and juniors with seniors – as it seems more beneficial and/or convenient to do so. Such minorities/juniors would be worse off if they separated, because they are not independent of the old form of thought order.  A structure that promotes minorities/juniors to be in the front-line with majority /seniors providing support services would facilitate the structure to be carried through to the next generation. When this does not happen naturally – it needs to be structured consciously to maintain harmony. Just minded seniors often do this. They thus become governors in retirement.

Truth when manifested to the physical level would confirm this Equality between diverse cultures in one form or the other. Hence one is minority or majority only for half the time in one wholesome system. If it is not – that system is not a sovereign system. In the subjective system this changeover is time based and in the lateral system of democracy this changeover is place based. Often minorities  who genuinely experienced lower status and did not retaliate  but kept going under that system – become  leaders in migrant societies, when they leave the old system,  for this reason.

In the case of a nation – this balance of powers is achieved through Administration in Democracy and People Power  in Autocracy. In Sri Lanka, the JVP and LTTE  tried to demonstrate the latter but failed to have the blessings of  Truth - due to their own practice of rigid Administration. Both were take-over powers due to dependence on such strict administration. Revolutions in other countries, including in India,  were successful due to independence from such autocratic Administrations. When juniors / minorities truly become independent – the changeover happens automatically – as per the path of Nature / Truth.  We need to recognize and uphold that form produced by natural restructure – so we would live in harmony with Nature.

As per my observations within our family circles – the most progressive structures have upheld the time based balancing – so each person in a relationship gets his/her  opportunity to lead.  Thus when a wife - with the skills to lead - foregoes and submits so her husband could lead – she would be a natural leader of the whole in later years. A husband who is true to himself will submit to this natural authority of his wife in later years. In the olden days – the wife being much younger than the husband would have facilitated this. Now – with same age partnerships this is more difficult and unless the partners are of diverse cultures – due to race, gender, disability etc. – the same type of activities are halved and shared. This leads to lower level of achievement by those in such systems taking advantage of democracy and its paths to freedom. The internal divisions within the leading coalition in Sri Lanka in view of  Presidential Elections 2015 – have that kind of effect.  If on the other hand, a candidate who had demonstrated strong Administration had been fielded – that would have upheld the higher structures that happened due to the war and that would have been continuous Memorial Service to those who lost their lives in the war.

Irrespective of what happens at the Presidential elections – Tamils who claim to have suffered due to racial discrimination – have the duty to develop their Administrative skills to balance the majority power of the Sinhalese. This is more important than devolution which is likely to divide and reduce opportunities if there is not enough diversity within the Tamil community to support Democratic partnerships.  This is also the best way to pay homage to the heroes who died in the name of ‘freedom’.

Family Law & Governance

Recently when sharing ‘freely’ with a friend from my days as a student of Chartered Accountancy in Sri Lanka – my friend highlighted that I was admired by many in our group of females - for achieving the completion of my professional studies in addition to getting married and having  children and developing an independent family – with much less resources than any of the others in the group had.  My friend asked me a few questions and together we worked out the state of my mind  had functioned at that time.  Of particular interest to me was my marriage. I realize now – that I was in love with the Marriage system – human and beyond. Later, after my friend left – I thought about it and realized that even at workplaces I was more into ‘systems’ than into current benefits. To use Accounting language – I was more interested in the structure shown by the Balance Sheet than in the profit shown by the Profit & Loss Account. Where the real Balance Sheet developed by me reflected a stronger Net Assets / Ownership position than the apparent one – and I chose to remain harmoniously within the system by accepting the write offs and loss of status vis a vis others parallel to me getting the right ticks from seniors / custodians of power,  I became a facility in  the old system and a stronger senior in my own unit – or where the new system (for example Australian multiculturalism) is lateral – a pioneer ahead of other juniors.

Family, workplace and national structures are also made up of  Assets and Liabilities & Shares of Ownership and are reflected in the Balance Sheet / the photograph as my Accounting guru Mr. A.T. Benedict taught us. Every relationship produces a Balance Sheet when one side or the other  or both / all in common – produce visible outcomes of their activities for public consumption. These are referred to as milestones in common language. When we get married we draw up a Balance Sheet. When we have a child – we draw up a Balance Sheet. When we elect new leaders we draw up a Balance Sheet.

In every relationship – the higher position is the goal towards which the person in the lower position moves. Positions have walls that protect us from external disturbances. These walls also confirm our own boundaries of operation while we are producing independent outcomes. Without these walls relationships are only in name.  We become individuals without common life unless we live through our Truth. The goal of a  relationship is common faith that would lead to natural Oneness. This is achieved through a combined/consolidated  position and is therefore a longer or higher  position than the individual positions. The path between the two positions should not be blocked by internal walls for most efficient movement. When both sides perform as per their structural positions – the journey is equally enjoyable. When one side contributes more than the other – but stays within the boundaries of the relationship – the structure gets carried with least effort - through to support others in the future. Where the higher contribution is from the person occupying the higher/senior  position – the visible structure fits the real structure developed through the real contributions and the whole becomes eligible to be carried through as is to the next generation and wider world. Where the contribution by the junior  is greater than that by the senior the relationship needs to be restructured – with the senior becoming a junior – as in parents depending on children – or where we seek to continue with our traditional structures – the apparent seniors become the media through whom apparent juniors facilitate their own activities in the wider world.  Where majority in the environment fit this – a restructure is needed to show the new position. This usually is the lateral system of Democracy.

Rebellion by juniors – towards juniors taking over the position of seniors – ( as happened in Sri Lanka – through JVP Sinhalese and LTTE Tamils ) has the effect of downgrading the whole.  The ordinary man / voter often gets fooled by such rebellion that shows quick outcomes at the lower level, by using the resources of the existing system. To be  called rebels – juniors need to have first renounced benefits from the old relationship (as I did at many stages of my life) before producing their own ‘independent’ outcomes. 

Once we produce outcomes using the old system to ‘show’ that we are better than our seniors we confirm we are not yet independent of our seniors and therefore – we become criminals – developing into terrorists. The maximum point at which we completed the relationship by staying within the common boundaries – is the maximum level at which we are entitled to our Public/Audience/Customers. This is demonstrated in the time based vertical system – through parenting our children.  We carry the parenting gene value at its highest when we complete the relationship with our parents,  by staying within the structure as the structure was in its traditional time-based form when we were born. To the extent we broke away from our parents and therefore the structure before we could produce our own independent outcomes through marriage and children – we would not have the natural power to parent our children from a higher position. Then we need the lateral system of Democracy with Equal positioning – so that we do not suffer from reverse discrimination.

To produce premature outcomes without first paying our dues to the old system – earns us the natural karma of reverse discrimination. This could have been prevented if  we had renounced our rights and earned benefits from the old system.  The wisdom from the old relationships at the point of completion by us – travels with us beyond time and space boundaries. The rest need to be consciously and expressly renounced if we seek to produce and show our own independent outcomes to ‘our’ public. To show the results at the higher level without demonstrating renunciation of the right to that audience – is to steal someone else’s system – which is worse than stealing someone else’s wealth. I believe I am free of such theft karma because I  did so sacrifice which I believe was due to my strong faith in Lord Muruga who renounced parental wealth to become Equal Royalty. I cannot think of a better leader than Lord Muruga for Global Tamils.

In terms of  Sri Lanka - neither JVP nor LTTE renounced.  Both sides inherited the genes from their own political leaders – who failed to develop Democratic Structures of Equality in their respective areas but were trying to step into the shoes of the British when the British left. Using majority power to overrule intellectual power has the effect of downgrading the standard of  Management by writing off the higher values as if they were rubbish. The criminal label pinned on me for practicing through Peaceful Assembly -  non-violent non-cooperation after completing my position duties at their highest – is confirmation of  such downgrading by Australian Authorities.  This confirmed that they said ‘sorry’ to Aborigines more to show and less to genuinely redeem their own past karma. Equal Opportunity structures need to happen with natural separations that facilitate ‘privacy’ for minorities so they would produce their own outcomes independently. Minorities in turn need to produce outcomes at their highest level of natural authority – i.e. – the point at which they completed the relationship with their seniors, under the traditional system.

To the credit of the respective Sinhalese Political leaderships – both JVP and LTTE were blocked from practicing reverse discrimination. Sinhala Sri Lanka and / or Tamil Eelam under such leadership would have been incapable of producing outcomes at standards possible through our traditional structures or through Democratic structures. Under Democratic structures  where they are Equal to the citizen until known otherwise  they would have needed to not show the power of weapons against the very citizen on whose behalf they claimed to be fighting for. Sri Lankans on both sides of the ethnic borders that have now been firmly drawn – need to seek and find juniors under the old system who, like Lord Muruga became independent of their traditional system before producing their own independent outcomes. They would elevate Sri Lanka’s status to the highest levels in the International Community. We need this for our own self-dignity and for that of our children. THIS is the Balance Sheet we need to produce in our own local groups during this period leading to elections.  We must vote for our own outcome at its highest. The leader who best fits that vote would wear it in Sri Lanka and/or beyond.

Tamil Belief Influencing Sinhalese Voter

What do we Tamils need through the 2015 Presidential Elections in Sri Lanka?  Those who have voting rights are the media through whom we would influence outcomes.  These need not necessarily be Tamil voters. To the extent we feel in common with other communities – we would naturally influence voters’ minds to manifest the outcomes as if we had voted.

Majority vote is part of the lateral system of   democracy.  At the primary level – where all voters are taken to be equally genuine and believing in their leader – the power of the total for one person relative to another  is taken as the determining factor. But the same person does not vote for the same leader at every election in which the two participate.  There are some external influences that shift either party or both parties to act differently. These are usually visible where one cares to observe.  Then there are other internal influences – which happen naturally – through our Truth.  Everyone who identifies with God/Divinity – experiences Oneness with others.  Without this we would not be praying to invisible powers.

If we therefore believe deeply and we invoke our belief  during elections – the candidate through whom such belief could be worked would become the winner.  This need not be the one we like or agree with. In fact this could be the one we disagree with. But that candidate would be the medium/messenger through whom our outcomes are manifested. During election time – the blocks to receive our belief based messages are removed and the path is open. The leader becomes our facility – consciously or subconsciously. Sometimes we may need the weaker candidate to win now – so our belief could be manifested at that higher level at a later time. The deeper believer would identify with such a higher outcome in its due course.  Hence the need for focus on issues rather than on subjects – especially subjects over whom we do not have direct influence.  We have the path open for us to surrender and think in common with a leader within our own communities.

The work of Ms Shanthi Sachidanandam has been brought to our attention recently by leaders of the Tamil Diaspora. Ms Sachidanandam does highlight  that the happenings in the recent past did not happen solely due to the Rajapaksa Regime. They are the effect of cumulative  forces empowered to produce outcomes at a particular time at a particular place. WE also contributed to those effects. Past outcomes  do not empower or affect  us directly. Hence Yoga Swami’s great saying ‘Eppavoh Mudintha Kariyam’ / ‘Matter has been closed long ago’.  Like with Balance Sheets, they help us understand the present.  The past should not be assessed through current rules and measures.  Once there is ‘closure’ , including through emigration – we need to use current measures and not old measures or the measures used by the current voters who are making government. Restructures bring about such closures. For us – Tamils that restructure already happened through Provincial Council Elections that highlighted the preference of Northern Tamils to be led by knowledge power rather than gun power.  We need to respect and value the past but not go back to produce those outcomes in the present once a restructure has taken place.

What we do now – has the power to directly influence current outcomes. The deeper powers of motivation  need to be accessed through belief – for example belief in Democracy and Multiculturalism at all times and in all aspects of our life has the power to influence naturally. Such believers would naturally influence voters who are actively ‘thinking’ and ‘showing’ those thoughts in support of  Democracy & Multiculturalism.  To be able to so influence – we need to believe that we are of the One group or we must be driven by our Truth and Truth only.  Gandhi had that kind of belief and hence was able to influence naturally to produce outcomes that confirmed that belief. One does not need express legal or cultural membership to influence through belief.

The belief of One develops  exponential value as it gets deeper and close to absolute value. Commonness supports such development. Each person who thinks strongly about the issue becomes our medium. When it gets close to absolute value – it becomes global influence.  This is the kind of force that Ms Shanthi Sachidanandam seems to be working on – so that we interpret the law as per our belief and not as we are told by those who do not share common belief with us. The more we focus on immediate outcomes – the less we develop this belief and therefore weaken our opportunities to influence outcomes through the unseen and the unknown media/voters.  

Such common belief based influence amongst  the Sinhalese has been strongly weakened by the nomination of the Common Candidate who until recently was seen to be part of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.  Those who believe in political power through that grouping would now be confused.   Its parallel is Mr. Douglas Devananda leading the LTTE supporters. Most primary level voters would get confused with this. If majority Sinhalese voters think that the Rajapaksa government has failed them at the International level – then they may vote to defeat the Rajapaksa group. But then – we would really not have an ethnic problem in Sri Lanka – and therefore the Diaspora would be robbed of their opposition. Such changes on the surface are misleading and work against consistency that contributes to commonness.  If confirms also that within the Sinhalese community there isn’t strong commitment to democracy through belief.  Belief is identity with Truth. Truth when manifested divides equally through the center.

Tamils are also not yet ready with Democratic systems of management.  The Tamil Diaspora is the litmus paper to test this and we need to demonstrate stronger achievements in this regard – in our current areas of operation – especially by developing Equal Opposition at the intellectual level. We won the position of Equal Opposition in 1977 due to such Belief.  This was due to our then leaders going into  Sathya Graham – Home of Truth.  Once we take revenge – through tit for tat action – we would lose the opportunity to  invest that energy in developing our belief in non-violent non-cooperation. Retaliation at the same level – is cooperation. Controlling the urge to retaliate renders the independence needed to  observe the other side.   In effect we bring the other side over to our side as juniors. That is what happened through the UN Resolution earlier this year. We need to not let go of that opportunity to win at global level - by working actively for a win by an unknown devil (who is being made out to be an angel) over a known devil.

Democracy in Peril –  In Australia or In Sri Lanka?

I remember reading the book ‘Democracy in Peril’ by Dr. Patricia Hyndman – then Senior lecturer in  law – at the University of New South Wales. The report was published under the banner of LAWASIA Human Rights Committee – an organization of international law experts.  The book is based primarily on  the Communal Violence in Sri Lankan in 1983. As per my recollection, I read the book in 1985. In 1998 – I had the first-hand experience  about the same Democracy being in Peril at the University of New South Wales. That University sent the above armed officers to break open our front door and remove family assets to settle the fees of lawyers hired to defeat me – a lay litigant in Court. After publishing my article ‘Horoscopes & Politicians’ (http://austms.blogspot.com.au/), during discussions with a young Australian lawyer – I stated that during my social-counseling work I had said to a client that  a wife separating from her husband was entitled to half share of wealth accumulated after marriage.  To my mind, the young Australian lawyer who as per my knowledge is my junior in terms of  the position I had earned as a professional (– albeit one ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ –) was trying  to tell me off. It’s a relative position – where I was the junior.   I rejected such telling  and stated that the young lawyer did not have authority over me to ‘tell’ me. I stated that that which is ‘common’ divides into equal parts – so that each part would carry the commonness of Sovereignty. I said I consolidate and make common - all the time in family and work environments and hence did not have to go to Courts for settlement of disputes. I would go to endorse the stamp of the custodians of power of the legal system out of respect for my own investment in that system. The University of NSW that failed to have such strong enough  ‘common powers’ ended up sending armed forces to justify their ‘telling’ despite listing me as a Sri Lankan through the Police who arrested me. If I am Sri Lankan as per their interpretation – then the first rule was to treat me as an Equal person to themselves until known otherwise through application of common rules and laws. Hence if I said I was Australian – they had the duty to write down that I was Australian until proven otherwise. Likewise if I had said I was Aborigine.  If to them I was Australian – then they did have that subjective power over me in their territory until known otherwise through application of common rules and laws by a higher authority. By listing me as Sri Lankan in some places and Indian in others – they were entering International waters.

Australians with current positions often ‘tell’ someone who seems lacking in position status. The Police ‘told me’ that I was Sri Lankan.  The above armed officers even broke into my home – to tell me through their actions – what the consequences would be if I rebelled against authority – even though it was proven to be not unlawful.   Despite the Supreme Court of New South Wales recording that ‘I would not be told’ – many Australians keep ‘telling’ me. This happens due to weakness in practice of  the Doctrine of Separation of Powers between two cultures. The same law is likely to be interpreted differently by two cultural minds.

The current investigations by the UN,  into the Sri Lankan war activities are further extensions of the above book by Dr. Hyndman.  The former comes  with the ‘Made in America’ label. As per my discovery – neither has the strength of Truth that would be the basis of Sri Lanka’s solution, which would apply also to others around the world with similar need.

Was Sri Lanka or for that matter Australia – ever democratic in its natural Administration?  Should Sri Lanka be copying Australia in terms of democracy? Knowledge for which we have not paid the due price is copied knowledge. Intelligence handed out is effectively copied knowledge. Like in marriage – one could be natural through Love or one has to bind oneself by the structures  common to both sides. In terms of Country – Sovereignty is the ultimate goal. One could be natural and where one is not – one needs to have a position through which to ‘tell’.

the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka has been going on for 100 years. As per that clip there are more than one million Sri Lankan Tamil refugees living outside Sri Lanka. Given that the ethnic issue has been the reason why Sri Lanka has been censured by the UN – one needs to probe through that issue.

The nomination by the Political opposition to contest against President Rajapaksa in the 2015 elections, a person who once was part of the JVP  Sinhala Rebel movement needs to be analyzed carefully so we would not jump from the frying pain into the fire. One needs to check whether the UN’s charges against the LTTE – apply in common to Mr. Mathirpala Sirisena also. His parallel for Tamils is Mr. Douglas Devananda. Tamils elected Mr. Vigneswaran to lead the Tamil Community. This is a clear break away from the LTTE. If Mr. Sirisena were elected, one would conclude that  the Sinhala Community continues to elect as their leaders those with rebel genes. To his credit – Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa was never part of  the JVP. He practiced law when he was not actively practicing politics. Hence he carries the genes of lawyer. Our rights and wrongs when we come beyond the environment in which they are right and wrong – are carried by our genes. They are the Balance Sheets of the consolidated positions of our past lives. Like prior years’ transactions in Accounting – they should not be activated through current activities nor measured through current laws and rules. Likewise when we emigrate from one country to another.

An Australian interpreting Sri Lankan activities is also mentally emigrating. Dr. Hyndman – a law expert - failed to use the Doctrine of Separation  between the two cultures – when interpreting Sri Lankan war activities. This is also a risk with the UN strongly influenced by Americans  with high positions. The orders of thoughts are different in different cultures. Within different cultures they are different as per the needs of  sub groups – based on gender, age and disability. The order happens as per the regular work we perform – as in the caste system that prevailed in Sri Lanka for all the right reasons.  Those of us who specialize in particular type of work – find that work fulfilling. If we have to come into another general area for no reason – it is difficult for us to rearrange our order of thought to suit the new activity – unless we are motivated by quick outcomes. The Business Unit approach that the West moves towards in Public Service suits General Practitioners. It works against Specialists.  Sri Lankans are specialists – due to proportionately higher Human Resources and therefore subjective powers  relative to Australia. Hence Democracy would look different in Australia to what it looks like in Sri Lanka.

There is a saying in Tamil : Siru Pillai Vellaamai Veedu Vandhu Seraathu – (www.tamilcollections.com/tamilproverbs.asp)  -  the crop of the young would not ‘come home’.  Instead the young come home to roost. This is often used in relation to the failure of LTTE to deliver as they promised. If Sinhalese vote for an ex rebel – the Born Again Tamil Tiger  – would picture  a better chance of delivering.

Do  Tamils want such lower level order of thought to override the higher order of thought that we claim we inherited from our ancestors? To the mind that sees the ethnic problem as an inheritance of 100 years – there would be no solution under the Sri Lankan banner. Hence such minds demand Separation. The lower the order of thought the higher the risk of Separation.

The past needs to be recognized only through assets and liabilities – virtues and sins and not activated as expenses and income during current period.  By nominating Mr. Sirisena who has failed to demonstrate strong achievement as a Democratic leader  the UNP is invoking the JVP genes with which the LTTE genes would form natural coalitions of the mind. The hundred year claim – by Tamils if accepted and empowered would do likewise in reverse order. 

If as claimed in the above ‘youtube’ clip – Tamils living outside continue to suffer as refugees – then even Democracy would not ‘cure’ us.

Knowledge of outcomes through a subjective system, assessed through laws and rules of Democracy has the effect of stolen knowledge / plagiarism. Like stolen cheques and like stolen information of Wikileaks – stolen knowledge and status by one country about another - would continue to produce lower level outcomes that would keep coming home to roost.

Horoscopes & Politicians

I read with interest the Sri Lanka Guardian article ‘Chinese Numerology Supersede Sri Lankan Astrology?’ by fellow Australian of Sri Lankan origin, Mr. Upasiri de Silva. Astrology plays an important role in Indian and Sri Lankan life styles and it is therefore understandable that it would influence political leaders also. Like with the Constitution – some use it as guidance once in a way whilst to others it is the bible used in everyday living. Some others use the mind of the Astrologer to harness the powers at a particular time for special events.  Accordingly, Hindus usually tie the marriage knots at auspicious time to invoke the blessings of their Divine Guides.

In the case of Sri Lankan neither the JVP Sinhalese rebel group nor the LTTE Tamil separatists group  is likely to consult with Astrologers before they engage in their leadership activities. Not so publicly anyway.  This is because they make their claim on current merit basis to override senior leaders.  But this would also be the reason for their defeat  if they are not independent of their seniors by renouncing the benefits from the seniors’ structures and systems. If they owed the old system – then they are not independent.  By claiming to be independent and therefore leading their movement – such leaders push their debts beyond the point of redemption.  In Hindu Astrology – this then becomes part of our accumulated deficit/sin.  The Horoscope being the  Balance Sheet of our cumulative past – it pushes the unsettled liability to ownership shares for the creditor – the seniors who were owed the debt of respect. 

Mr.  Upasiri de Silva states ‘Number 8 (Eight) is the most important number for Chinese in their Calendar and their influence helped Mahinda Rajapakse to throw away the Astrological dates given to him and choose 8th in December and 8th in January as the nomination and election dates, as he was told by the Chinese that he will be able to defeat anyone contesting him if he used those dates.’

As per my common knowledge of numerology – one usually brings the dates to single digit numbers. Quick check would confirm that the two elections through which Mr. Rajapaksa became President were held on dates that were 8 when brought to single digit – 17 November in 2005 and 26  January in 2010.  But more interestingly Mr. Rajapaksa declared the latter on 23 November 2009 just months after the encampment through which the Battle of Vanni came to an end. Whether it is Numerology, Astrology or Medicine, common belief is the motivating force and consolidates to manifest a certain outcome.

On 04 May 2009 – I  received communication from our nephew here in Brisbane -  that his father who was in Yoga Swami Home  in Kilinochchi and got displaced along with other inmates of  the Home – and ended up in the camp – had passed away.  I had already booked to travel to India and onwards to Sri Lanka about a week later.  I wanted to see Swami Sai Baba whom I was yet to see physically – even though according to my belief He helped me during my trauma at the University of NSW.   There was miraculous manifestation of holy powder on my picture of Swami in confirmation of His blessings. Hence my booking to go to India first. But with  the report of my brother in law’s passing away came the request from our nephew to go first to Sri Lanka to perform the last rites for his father.  I rearranged and participated in the ceremonies to my satisfaction.  Before leaving Sydney I received requests for me to go contact the Health Ministry in Sri Lanka towards assessing the needs at the victims. My previous experience in this field was considered to be valuable. While I was waiting for the clearance of the Government I went to the Sai Baba Center at Barnes Place – Colombo.   I did not know the leaders on either side to form an opinion on which side needed my services.   I was confused and kept dwelling on the subject while participating in group singing at the Center. Then the question ‘who started this?’ came to my mind and with that the report of the 13 soldiers killed in 1983.  Just then the flower from Swami’s picture fell – which to me was confirmation of the answer I received.  Hence instead of feeling sorry for the LTTE combatants or blame the government – I was able to work the system to serve the victims of war in common.

Until today, I did not know that Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa also believed in Swami Sathya Sai Baba.  Now that I know – it makes sense that he would choose Swami’s birthday – 23 November as the day on which to announce the 2010 elections. LTTE leadership on the other hand categorically stated to me that Sai Baba was a fraud.   Hence on  belief basis – between Mr. Rajapaksa and Velupillai Prabhakaran my support certainly would go to Mr. Rajapaksa until I consciously override.  I would where there is merit based credit earned by one side or the other as per our common structure – for example Public Administration – my skills in which were shared through the LTTE during ceasefire time. 

Mr. Upasiri de Silva states ‘Unfortunately late PM SWRD Bandaranayke was born on 8th January, and now this day he selected is creating problems for him and his advisers.’

Numerology works for those who believe in it.  But there are also other forms of belief through which we are naturally and/or structurally bound to each other. Then the credits of one would work for the other – more so if the other was of similar numerological / Astrological / Genetic structure.  Mrs. Bandaranaike – the world’s first lady Prime Minister – became the medium through whom her husband’s powers continued to work through her  for those with common belief.  According to my knowledge  - 8 can make one a king or a pauper. It is significant that Mrs. Bandaranaike was born on 17 April.

Mr. SWRD Bandaranaike died on 26 September. Mrs. Bandaranaike was defeated by J R Jayawardene who also was born on 17 September. The opposition leadership at that time was taken over by Mr. Appapillai Amirthalingam – born on 26 August. To me these are confirmations that number 8 persons could be elevated or dropped by the influence of other number 8 persons. It is significant also – that Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa is not an 8 man. Nor is his opposition of the moment – Mr. Maitripala Sirisena. Hence the number 8  link would be difficult to trace . It is interesting that the Hon Narendra Modi, like Mr. J.R. Jayawardene was born on 17 September.

That 8 leader could influence through the elections on 8 January combined with common Hindu belief for the active practice of    the 13^th Amendment to the Sri Lankan Constitution which was given birth through the other 8 leader President J R Jayawardene. This Amendment  I believe had the effect of offsetting JR Jayawardene’s  anti-democratic karma accumulated through the creation of the Executive Presidency which had the effect of  weakening the opportunities for Tamils to become equal opposition at national level.  This then would mean that Mr. Maithripala Sirisena would not be able to fulfil his commitment to abolish the Executive Presidency.

Most of us do influence naturally through our belief in common with the leaders – even though often we do not identify with that being part of the cause. The root cause is our belief / Our Truth which empowers the manifestation from within.
