EDUCATE THE GOVERNMENT TO RECONCILE

Truth and Reconciliation Commissions are recommended as medication for Racial pain.  As per my findings, Truth automatically unites. Hence Reconciliation is for those who are yet to realise their own truth.

In his article ‘Reconciliation process misnomer in absence of trustful meeting of minds’ Dr Jehan, Director, the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka, states:

‘By way of contrast, the reconciliation process at the present time is a narrower process led by the president with less consultation with other political and civil society actors.  This is especially with regard to the issue that has got most prominence in recent times—the 13th Amendment and devolution of powers.  It is only the president who is standing tall and making the case for it.’

The all Party conference highlighted that the President was bargaining and did not identify with the truth of Tamil politicians in the group. One who is true to her/himself would identify with the truth of the opposition.

I shared this as follows with a Sri Lankan group, about love, which applies to truth also:

Religion is one pathway to realise god. Family is another. Workplace is also such a pathway. When I reach the destination of Love, I am no longer conscious of relativity and therefore fear. Recently, I was faced with a situation where I was an important person in a group made up of two cultures. One was traditional Hindu culture and the other was of contemporary Australian middleclass culture. Both were of Sri Lankan origin. My relationship with both groups was healthy.  But like in Sri Lankan politics the older religion-conscious group had majority power due to age and numbers.  The need was with the minority side.

I divided myself into two. I acted as if I had the need to keep both sides together. So, with the majority I took instructions as if I were their junior and with the minority group I acted as their friend. This worked to diffuse tensions by the majority power and prevented separation. It was effectively separation of powers  that prevented separatism.

The source of my intelligence is the Hindu legend of churning the Ocean of Milk. Once I believe, that belief becomes my guru.

The 13th Amendment to the Sri Lankan constitution has the poison as well as the nectar from churning Sri Lanka’s ethnic issue. When the problem / poison is consumed by the true  President, in every  member of Parliament, the nectar/opportunity  will surface.  If this is hijacked by those driven by brawn, Truth needs to take the form of their friend and redeem the Opportunity and hand it over to the intellectuals.

If driven by outcomes, 13th Amendment will defeat Sri Lanka.

SEPARATISM

When I write these days and I feel that someone I is reading it, I conclude that my experience has been completed. Completed experiences become positive Energies at that level. Abandoned experiences become negative Energies at that level.

I have learnt that even though I do not get quick responses, my positive Energy merges with Universal power of Truth that supports the needy.  If I feel Tamil in Sri Lanka, then my sovereign circle is the Sri Lankan Tamil group. If I feel Sri Lankan, then all those who feel Sri Lankan, would feel connected to me and will share my true intelligence naturally and in return I will learn their truth. Realising way of Truth is important to me as Australian of Sri Lankan origin and v.v.

A Sri Lankan of Sinhalese origin, responded as follows, to my article ‘WHO IS THE FATHER OF THE TAMIL NATION ?:

If LTTE won, the Father of Tamil nation in this island  would  have been Prabakaran. He  may not be a great leader of Eelam but those who follow him would  ensure greatness  as happened with Mao and China .’

I responded as follows:

Gaja: If LTTE had won, Gotabaya would have become President earlier and remained longer as President. More and more Tamils would have joined the armed forces funded confidentially  by India and Indian politicians would have dictated to Sinhalese politicians and played the role of imperialists.

Sri Lankan of Sinhalese origin : He  may not be a great leader of Eelam but those who follow him would  ensure greatness  as happened with Mao and China .]

Gaja: And JVP would have copied this resulting in Sri Lanka becoming a communist country. Not for me!

Then came response from a global group  about power-sharing centred around Mr Gajendrakumar’s declaration of his readiness to renounce his position.

Global Tamil: I used to wonder about the moot point regarding the 13th amendment to the constitution; the 13th amendment envisaged an  amalgamated North/East Provincial Council as the ‘historical habitat’ of the N/E Tamils: at the moment the Tamil Leaders - with the exception of Gajendrakumar - are beating their breasts and wailing about the non granting of police powers & land powers! Two sovereign nations had overseen the signing of the Indo Lanka Accord. The agreement had been passed as a Law in our country’s Parliament . The agreement had been accepted in the Lok Sabha and the Raja Sabha in India.

Therefore it would appear in the public eye ( as per the attachments below ) that Gajendrakumar is the only leader who is forthright in expressing valid points concerning this theatrical of the all party conferences convened by the crafty Ranil Wickremasinghe. It took some time for most bourgeoisie Tamils to see through the cunning machinations of JR. But is it so difficult for our other Tamil leaders to learn that they are being cheated by the sly Ranil.

Gaja:  You state [I used to wonder about the moot point regarding the 13th amendment to the constitution]

The answer is in the following section of your response:

[Two sovereign nations had overseen the signing of the Indo Lanka Accord.]

As in marriage, two diverse systems have to be merged to become one. Even if we accept that both were sovereign, until they unite and form One sovereign body, as in EU they would naturally function as two entities. Hence they needed the Accord. The 13th amendment therefore lacked the support of sovereign power.

Then came from a less mature Tamil group, the parallel of Mr Anthony Albanese’s Voice proposal, about a Hill Country Sri Lankan Tamil.

Tamil :  https://youtu.be/4vfVvOu8l44   Listen to this  little girl from our hill country in our motherland.Just 14 years old born in tea plantation line room and both the parents are tea pluckers.

She continues her studies at an estate school and right now she is in grade 9.

I could see the music blossoms in her lovely  smile. She is a blessed child.

All what she has learned her music is off the radio only and never had a chance to learn music from a teacher.

Her voice is really sweet and her school and the estate people around recognised her singing  talent and all got together, collected funds in a till box for some period  of time to fund her trip to India. Some well wishers too helped her family. See, humanity still remains in our motherland.

This is a story  an eye opener for all of us and that we all should appreciate the efforts taken by the members of a under previlaged community living under trying circumstances, were able to spot the talent and determined to bring into lime light. A wonderful effort on their part. Hats off to them.

Gaja:  There are many such groups in Northern Sri Lanka too. Hill country Tamils ranked as the junior-most group of Tamils until the war was over. Now Tamil Nadu is recognising them, and we also cheer. Unless you also migrated for to another country to earn a living and experienced discrimination as if you were second class,  you would not identify with the feelings of this community. To Ashani, it was a dream come true. To the Hill country Tamil community, it is a pilgrimage through the 14 year old. When I go to Jaffna, it is a pilgrimage.

Time and time again,  clever juniors take control of one part of a whole and declare their governance power over the whole. Like the 14 year old mentioned above and indigenous groups with special  talent,  nature compensates balances the equal opportunity equation through special  talents at individual and/or group level. If we disturb the peace of that new structure, we become examples of  the lesson ‘Man Proposes , god disposes.’

Making a smaller sovereign circle out of a part/process, results in Separatism. Those who go into the smaller circle become ‘outsiders’ to the original whole and when they oppose those in the original whole, they become enemies.  This is why JVP in Southern Sri Lanka and LTTE in Northern Sri Lanka killed politicians and became Separatists. To remain Opposition of Equal status, they need to Love the whole.

THE VOICE  OR DEMOCRACY

Our Australian prime minister states about the ‘Voice’, that no one would be hurt by the Voice. True or false? As per my investment in Democracy, this is false, even though Mr Albanese may not realise it. The victims of the Voice are Sovereignty of Democracy and Sovereignty of  Indigenous community.

Democracy and Autocracy are diverse pathways. Australia, where majority are migrants, has gradually moved away from autocracy, to democracy. In the process, junior in autocracy becomes equal opposition in democracy. In Hindu philosophy Ganesh represents Autocracy and the younger brother Murugan represents Democracy.  Murugan strongly opposed His parents’ judgment and declared independence and established His empire. On that basis, when the British established their authority over this land and its people indigenous Australians were excluded from voting rights. As per news report ‘On 27 May 1967, Australians voted to change the Constitution so that like all other Australians, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples would be counted as part of the population and the Commonwealth would be able to make laws for them’.

Given that Indigenous Australians  did not have the right to vote, they were not bound by the laws of made by migrants. Hence they were entitled to self-govern as per their truth.

It was in 1983 that the political right and responsibility of Indigenous Australians to vote was recognized by law. Wikipedia reports as follows under ‘Timeline of Indigenous Australians right to vote:

1984‘Commonwealth Electoral Act 1983 came into effect, making it compulsory for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to enrol to vote. It had already been compulsory for other Australians since 1924.’

The above law recognised the common responsibility to vote. The other side is the right to vote.

Democracy works successfully when a self-governing voter shares her/his powers through the vote.  If the voter is dependent on the government, then the value of the vote is for dependent government and not for self governance. The power that brings these together is the mind of Democracy. This mind at that place, at that time is the common mind of all believers in democracy and all practitioners of Due Processes of democratic voting.

The referendum for Voice is the parallel  of Commonwealth Electoral Act 1983, due to non-indigenous person initiating it. Declarations of belief apply to and work naturally for the owners. Its power is universal and therefore exponential. It spreads itself naturally within the group concerned. But when proposed by an outsider, it is relative and fails the test of ‘Beyond Doubt’. When we vote to correct past mistakes, it needs majority of the group that made the mistakes to make such a confession seeking forgiveness from the victims. Elevating the victims’ group to position of advisors, amounts to reverse discrimination. The ownership value of sovereignty is confirmed by the Hindu mantra Tat Tvam Asi/Thou Art That. May be a good opportunity to take advice from Mr Rishi Sunk.

WHO IS THE FATHER OF THE TAMIL NATION ?

As a Tamil of Sri Lankan origin, I get confused when some refer to Political Elder SJV Chelvanayakam as the father of the Tamil nation. The only father known to me in Jaffna was my own, Mr Visvalingam Navaratnam, grandson of Dharma Udayar. Last week, A Tamil Diaspora elder shared his feelings as follows:

After the demise of SJV Chelvanayakam the idiots who took over the FP and the TNA as leaders , have not been fools , but have been knaves . They are willing to be deceived and are enacting a drama in order that they’ll be re-elected; these chaps wish to  warm their seats in the House of Representatives & anticipate fooling our people once again: the general elections are due soon. Let us wait & see whether the N/E Tamils too are fooled by their dramatics .

As a Tamil of Northern Sri Lankan origin, I do not feel that I have been fooled. My spiritual guru says that our thoughts, words and deeds need to be in harmony. Thinking about it, I felt that this confirmed that the cause was our feeling. As written before, ‘mothers are feelers and fathers are thinkers. Using that as a base, I responded as follows:

[So why are the PEOPLE not dismissing these Tamil politicians who are our other side in politics? I would not be surprised if India’s proxy group forms government in North and East. The rebels who were trained by India, opened the Northern doorway. These by armed rebels had their own agenda. Given that the LTTE was de facto army-government , they were not blessed by the official political system . By killing the custodians of those powers, the rebels seriously damaged our Tamil political heritage that culminated in Vaddukoddai Resolution 1976.  That is the source of our political sovereignty. Hence the equal status in National Parliament in 1977. This Dr Arus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57x0o9pWqPM) refers to LTTE leader as Thesia Thalaivar/National Leader .  This means that his group is seeking military leadership and more armed wars. I am the opposition of armed war largely due to my commitment to non violent-opposition. Those who promote de facto leaders, are supporting de facto partnerships in marriage also. If the relationship is lacking in heritage value, it carries the high risk of scattering in different directions. I have observed this in Tamil Diaspora groups where recently one female referred to a female relative as ‘that woman’. ]

As per my home based religious practice, inherited from my parents, the end of religion is spirituality. On that basis, the end of country is Nation. Knowing the difference is important especially when we take rebirth in another country, as migrants. One such migrant is Roy Ratnavel about  whose book Prisoner #1056, Wikipedia reports as follows:

Brian Mulroney, former Prime Minister of Canada noted on Prisoner #1056;

“Millions of people fleeing countries less fortunate have found here in Canada a refuge from mistrust and hatred and violence which has allowed them to achieve their potential in the rich soil of our freedom. Roy’s life is one such story. While Roy’s remarkable personal journey is unique to him, reading his book one cannot help but hear a familiar refrain that will resonate with millions of Canadians, because at its core it is the story of the immigrant experience. And in the final analysis, we are all children of immigrants.”

So only indigenous Canadians are recognised by the former Prime Minister of Canada, as being different. But Roy Ratnavel takes the position of an indigenous Tamil and not as a migrant Tamil from India. Google Books presents Roy as follows:

‘Roy Ratnavel was born in 1969 in the capital city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. At the age of seventeen, he became a political prisoner, and spent gruelling months in brutal and oppressive conditions. After his miraculous release from prison, he arrived in Canada all alone at the age of eighteen, with just $50 in his pocket. Ratnavel is now an executive at Canada’s largest independent asset management company. Prisoner #1056 is his first book. He currently resides in Toronto’

As per mail from a fellow Australian Tamil, Roy wrote as follows:

Ladies and Gentleman,

I’m currently in the air from Tokyo to Toronto. I want to let you know that I was deported out of Singapore and the book launch was subsequently cancelled because Sri Lankan authorities have told Singapore that ‘Roy Ratnavel’ is a ‘threat’ to them.

Again, this proves that Sri Lanka’s ingrained anti-Tamil sentiments and whipped-up nationalist hysteria were very powerful cement for the most odious system, which has always made it easier for the leaders to con their citizenry and others. Because scared and enraged people can be easily manipulated. Singapore has been added to this list.

If you know anything about me this has only ‘emboldened’ my quest to speak even louder. I never go down in fight. I NEVER will. This incident proves me one thing. Prisoner #1056 was spot on in exposing Sri Lanka as terror state—and as the author of this book it is badge of honour to be deported.

To me, my life is a heritage and I believe that heritages are sovereign powers that take care of their heirs. To me, my life in Sri Lanka is a heritage and my visits after I became Australian citizen are pilgrimages.  Those who use their origins to make a profit, will have fears as their return. This is the way of bipolarism.

POLICE POWERS TO NORTHEN SRI LANKA

Sri Lankan politicians got together recently over the 13th Amendment to the Sri Lankan Constitution, under India’s influence. Yesterday, a fellow member of the Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora forwarded video clip of this meeting headed by Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe, with the following comment:

‘[Bottom line is Ranil must gather the spirit of the 13th amendment from the language that is written therein and signed by JR & India]

I responded to it as follows:

‘It is fundamentally flawed as per democracy, but confirms the autocratic power of India at regional level. The economic crisis boosted India’s power over Sri Lanka. Ranil is mixing the provincial council election issue with 13A so he would not have a problem similar to Black July in his hands.   Constitutional changes based on political desires, have now become diseases. Hence Ranil’s fears. Implementation of 13A includes provincial council elections. But Ranil is pretending that one excludes the other. Why ? – because if 13A is implemented, it is as if India is dictating to us. If only PC elections are held, India’s role would become invisible. Between the two, I would vote  for PC elections towards internal harmony.’

In writing the above, I became the leading representative  of the Tamil group of politicians. I was the voice of truth of Tamils. Hence I identified with the need to remain connected to India’s sovereignty through Sri Lanka’s sovereignty, which automatically will protect Tamils, as India is the Motherland of Tamil, as England is of English. By taking the lead position and expressing my truth, I became the leader of Tamils in my own mind. That is the way of a true writer.

Soon, I received an email, directing us to the article ‘Police ‘Abuse in Colombo versus ‘Reconciliation’ in the North?’ by Kishali Pinto Jayawardene – a law writer. One Tamil Elder wrote ‘Ms. Kishali Pinto writes well’.  The original person who shared the article once wrote ‘Gajalakshmi Paramasivam is an ignorant woman whose knowledge about Premananda/Wigneswaran relationship is zero’ Yes it was zeroed by me because it was I had enough chastity to diffuse any weaknesses that the leader may have had.  I went by the status allocated to Mr Wigneswaran, by the group that shared the article with me.

The commonness between the Parliamentary topic and the article was apparently Police Powers. But the real topic was ‘Freedom of Journalists.’ North was mentioned only once as follows:

‘Is not the Rule of Law, the essential prerequisite for a nation’s legal, economic and governance structures to function? Or perchance, is police abuse in the South the best foundation for President Ranil Wickremesinghe to base his much touted ‘truth and reconciliation’ (TRC) shenanigan for the North? That, true to form, is merrily on its way in Colombo notwithstanding the resistance of war affected victims.’

As per her own declaration, the lady confirms that ‘the Rule of Law, is the essential prerequisite for a nation’s legal, economic and governance structures to function.’  Majority   Sri Lankan lawyers known to me do not follow the law that they have knowledge of. They use the law for a living.   Hence unless majority custodians of legal, economic and governance structures practice the written law, those structures will remain idle. This invites the devil to make these structures its workshop. To the extent lawyers are disloyal to the law, their juniors, including the police, will inherit those qualities. That is the way of nature.

The politician provides the structure. We, the people Energise it. In the case of  truth and reconciliation’ (TRC), Ms Jayawardene refers to it as ‘shenanigan for the North’ This  is highly disrespectful not only of the government, but the victims themselves.  Such a commission  provides true victims to share their experiences with wider world, without the limitations in a court of law dominated by lawyers , evidence, and witnesses. The person listening to the victims needs to be a self-governing Sri Lankan, independent of political influence. Then by just listening to the victim, as if the listener had the pain, the listener cures the victim.

As per Tamil Guardian report headed ‘Sri Lanka approves “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” despite scepticism’:

The proposed TRC is not new, as human rights professor Kate Cronin-Furman highlights in her book “Human Rights and Hypocrisy, in 2013 and 2014 South African officials met several times with members of the Sri Lankan government to discuss implementing a TRC. This has been peddled “as an alternative to prosecutions, despite consistent messaging from international courts and human rights NGOs that amnesties are unlawful”.

The Google Books review the book reveals ss follows:

‘Covering debates over transitional justice in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other countries, Kate Cronin-Furman investigates the diverse ways in which repressive states respond to calls for justice from human rights advocates, UN officials, and Western governments who add their voices to the victims of mass atrocities to demand accountability.

Human rights, like DNA vary from individual to individual, leave alone groups. They are identified with, by the human through her/his soul power. The UN and Western governments will need to become Sri Lankan to identify with our form. ‘Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of the Congo’ will have four different forms of Human  Rights.

Ms Jayawardene highlights this as follows:

‘In short, this is what Voltaire profoundly articulated centuries ago when he said, ‘I may disapprove of what you say but will defend to the death, your right to say it.’

Approval and disapproval are functions of the body and the brain. Upholding invisible rights is the function of the soul through which we merge with the Universal power of Truth.

The truth that Mr Sumanthiran revealed at the 13th Amendment discussions,  was that he was also driven by majority vote. He revealed this when he spoke after Mr Wigneswaran, by stating that TNA had ten members in Parliament. Coming after the president acknowledged Mr Wigneswaran’s contribution, it sounded like a competition in which majority would win. The 13th Amendment if implemented to protect Human Rights at regional level is soul power. If pushed by majority power due to Tamil Nadu, will be brawn power which needs to be ‘shown’ as LTTE did.

  LESSON FROM BLACK JULY

Truth is the protective armour against future conflicts. Forty years after Black July in Sri Lanka, we continue to use ‘what happened’, to blame the apparent custodians of power for our pain. We are yet to identify with the national Truth. As citizens, when we know why we and our loved ones suffered, we are naturally protected by the truth, against future pain. Blaming others confirms dependence on others. The person who has transcended body consciousness is immune to body-pain. One who continues to recognise body pain more than mind pain, contributes to rebirth of that pain. One who finds the truth of why it happened to her/him, as if s/he caused it, finds the truth. That is the way of ownership.

Caste or Race based discrimination have positive as well as negative effects. They are positive when they improve our intelligence and v.v. Positive discrimination is promoted largely through merit basis at the individual level. The risk of unjust discrimination becomes high when certain groups are ‘seen’ to be enjoying more benefits than other groups.

On 25 July 2023, BBC published a report on caste in Jaffna Tamil schools.  https://www.bbc.com/tamil/articles/ckdn2vqjejno

I already knew about caste based discrimination in Vaddukoddai area, where most of our post-war development work happens. Except for the time, some youth played cinema songs that disturbed our temple activities, I have not encountered any major problems due to Reverse Discrimination. I believe that desire and fear are Equal & Opposite natural forces that satisfy Newton’s third law. This is nature, when both happen within the same person/group. The problem begins when one person/group has the desire and another, the fear.

The Black July pogrom in Sri Lanka is blamed solely on the UNP government.  But as per the events, the LTTE also made its contribution to it:

‘On 23 July 1983 at around 11:30 pm, the rebel group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE; also known as the Tamil Tigers) ambushed the Four Four Bravo military patrol in Thirunelveli, near Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka. A roadside bomb was detonated beneath a jeep that was leading the convoy, injuring at least two soldiers on board. Soldiers travelling in the truck behind the jeep then dismounted to help their fellow soldiers. Subsequently, they were ambushed by a group of Tamil Tiger fighters who fired at them with automatic weapons and hurled grenades. In the ensuing clash, one officer and twelve soldiers were killed, with two more fatally wounded, for a total of fifteen dead. A number of the rebels were also killed. Col. Kittu, a regional commander of the LTTE, would later admit to planning and carrying out the ambush. This attack has been described as retaliation for the killing of one of the LTTE's founding member, Charles Anthony, by Sri Lankan forces and for the allegation of abducting three Tamil school girls in Jaffna, raping them in their military camp.’

The problem within the Tamil community at that time was that the political leadership was overridden by armed rebels led by the LTTE. This had the effect of reducing the value of our investment in higher education despite the Standardisation policy of 1971, which moved us away from merit based allocations to University entrance through which high percentage of Jaffna Tamils entered Universities. In other words, we Tamils adjusted to  the Standardisation policy of 1971. By effect, it seems to have catered to JVP – the Sinhalese armed group which uprose in 1971, seeking a socialist state. The LTTE chose similar pathway, in which they were the leaders.

The above mentioned actions and reactions in 1983,were between the two armed groups. One was remotely controlled from Colombo the other  appointed themselves as leaders.  If school girls were raped, the responsibility to make the decision rested with their parents. Such a decision  would then have been positive discrimination. When it became an army matter, it was bound to unleash criminal energies in all sides. The LTTE took over the authority of the parents. That was confirmation of dictatorship. This demotes the power to Asura/animal  power.

When the bodies of the 13  soldiers came to Colombo, these uncleared animal energies also came with them.  As per Wikipedia:

The Army—including its commander, Tissa Weeratunga—decided that the soldiers' funerals should not be held in Jaffna because of the high likelihood of disturbances at multiple locations. The decision was made to hold the funerals, with full military honours, at Kanatte

Cemetery, Colombo's main burial ground, instead. Prime Minister Ranasinghe Premadasa, fearing violence, was against holding the funeral in Colombo, but was overruled by President J. R. Jayewardene The president, the prime minister, and the rest of the cabinet were to attend the funeral, which was to take place at 5 pm on 24 July. This arrangement went against the standard procedure of handing over fallen soldiers to their families for burial in their home villages

Mr Premadasa who also had junior caste origin, but rose through due political pathway to highest political leadership positions. When we say junior-senior, it confirms relationship within the same energy circle. When we say high and low, it confirms high circle and low circle and therefore separation of energies. Journalists contributed to this separatism, confirmed as follows at https://sangam.org/premadasas-saber-rattling-with-rajiv/

‘In the Govigama-caste dominated Sinhalese post-independent politics, Premadasa was an outsider…. Barbara Crossette reported in the New York Times (Dec 21, 1988), ‘His family came from one of the nation’s lowest castes – the dhobis, or washermen.’ This needs some clarification. Two print reference source books on Sri Lanka on my shelf ... as well as digital Wikipedia, deftly omit this caste reference in their entry on Premadasa. I wonder why? One plausible reason is to promote a biased view that, Sinhalese are caste immune in comparison to Eelam Tamils.’

If in 1983, President Jayawardene had used the positive caste based discrimination, he would have asked PM Premadasa  who was by painful experience, an elder in caste issues. Then the bodies would have been sent to the homes of the soldiers, in different villages, which was standard procedure. Sri Lanka is a religion-driven country and this home burial would have satisfied the junior groups to whom State-funeral was ‘foreign’. In a Buddhist nation, secular State funeral was/is  the parallel of LTTE taking over the authority from the parents of the ‘raped girls’.

Thus both sides usurped their respective position powers. Their energies thus merged to result in the carnage. Discipline of  junior in autocracy, becomes equal and opposite force in democracy. That is the truth I identify with as a member  minority group in Sri Lanka as well as in Australia, because I used discipline as power to oppose non-violently.

THE RICH MIDDLECLASS & THE VOICE

On 28 August 2022, a Sri Lankan of Sinhalese origin concluded his response to my article ‘THE RICH MIDDLE CLASS & RANIL’  with the following note:

‘Hi,  I liked the article in the link you cited (class analysis) and will copy it’.

That reference was as follows:

K. Balachander: The Middle-Class Maestro by S Srinivasan at https://www.forbesindia.com/article/recliner/k-balachander-the-middleclass-maestro/26662/1

Yesterday, in response to my article headed  ‘CONVERSATION WITHIN TAMIL DIASPORA’ also the above mentioned Sri Lankan responded in support of the doctors mentioned therein. The commonness in both instances is the keenness to learn from Tamils who by culture are diverse to him. In Sri Lanka, Sri Lankans are the middleclass. In Australia, Migrant Australians are the middleclass . On 26 July 2023, this was confirmed at political level in Canada, by Sathiyasangaree "Gary" Anandasangaree of Tamil origin becoming Minister of Crown–Indigenous Relations

It is interesting that this is connected to economics as follows:

‘For decades, the United States boasted the honor of having the richest middle-class. However, since 2019 Canada has the wealthiest middle class of any country in the world. According to the most recent numbers in 2021 from Credit Suisse's annual global wealth report, Canadians’ middle class or median wealth of $125,688 outranks the same median income figure of $79,274 for Americans’ Investopedia

This morning, a member of this group (Australian of Sri Lankan origin) forwarded to me an email headed ‘2nd Voice - pass on?’ The actual message was claimed to have been written by Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price. As per the email mentioned in this message published by Cairns News:

[Secret government documents the National Indigenous Australians Agency was forced to release under freedom of information laws say that “any Voice to Parliament should be designed so that it could support and promote a treaty-making process

 And what’s in the treaty?

According to these secret documents, it must include a “fixed percentage of Gross National Product. Rates/land tax/royalties”

“Australia got a whole country for nothing, they haven’t even begun to pay for it.”]

The  theory of this is ‘one who pays owns’ But true ownership is as per sacrifice of earned benefits as real parents do. The sacrifice is foundation of the new structure. Those who sacrifice more than their own inheritance, become Elders. Elders are never wrong. They have invisible intuitive intelligence that comes with long term undisturbed occupation based ownership.

By paying our respects to ‘traditional owners’ of this country, we inherit their intuitive intelligence of the elders. If money is paid, then they lose the status of elders and more importantly, the intuitive intelligence that confirms belief-based ownership. That is how Natural Justice balances the ownership equation.

Knowledge that their earnings are going towards the past debts of Anglo Australians, the motivation to earn and save, would diminish in later migrants. This in turn would promote welfare mentality. If Indigenous Australians owned the land first, migrants owned the economic ownership that connects us to the current world. Both are heritages like different religious heritages. They exist and work naturally in their  own Energy circles. It is the citizen’s right to choose the circle s/he seeks to be part of. If taxes are paid for past wrongs the present and future economies are bound to suffer.

As professional accountants would confirm, past must be separated and should not be mixed current items.  Our PM seems to lack wisdom in Accrual Accounting.
