FACTS v BELIEF

As individuals, majority Tamils I come across demonstrate no animosity towards Sinhalese individuals. When they group together they are against Government. The LTTE confirmed that it was against Tamil Government prior to their time of control. It is highly doubtful that they would have promoted intelligence in relation to the importance of Hinduism in Tamil Community of Sri Lanka.

When I read the review entitled ‘C V Wigneswaran on Pathmanathan’s book’ by KS Sivakumaran, I was reminded of a recent discussion with my husband about Student Oriented Learning  and Teacher Oriented Learning. Its parallel applies to all our public services. The LTTE was against the Government due to its perception that the politicians were Government oriented rather than People oriented. Not many young ones in Northern Sri Lanka would be interested in reading Professor Pathmanathan’s book.

Sivakumaran writes ‘In the first place the reviewer compliments the author for his balanced and objective display in stating facts supported by evidence.’

Professor Pathmanathan is an academic and it is understandable that his work would take an academic approach. The reviewer Mr Wigneswaran was a Judicial leader at the time of review. Hence it is understandable that he also would have appreciated ‘facts’ and evidence at that time. But since then Mr Wigneswaran has become a Politician and therefore the current review of Mr Wigneswaran’s review is outdated. Mr Sivakumaran states:

[I shall briefly state some of the salient points that CVW makes on SP’s authentic book.

Saivaism was prevalent in Sri Lanka even before 3rd century A.D. (Emperor Asoka was ruling North India then).

This is evident by the fact that several references are found with regard to the name “Siva” in Brahmi inscriptions.

Since the reign of Pandukabhaya in Anuradhapura, the worship of Sivalingam and the construction of a monastery for the Brahmins to recite the Veda continued.

Buddhism was introduced in Sri Lanka only during the reign of Devanampiya Tissa.

Before the presence of Buddhism in Sri Lanka there were trade relations between Sri Lanka and South India.

There were ancient Hindu temples in Thirukeatheeswaram, Thirukkoneswaram, and Munneswaram.

The evidence available to show the existence of Hinduism in Sri Lanka before the coming of Mahinda include the availability of more than 60 Brahmi inscriptions bearing the word Siva.

Besides, in pieces of broken clay pots belonging to very ancient times, Thirisoolam was engraved.

Those who worshipped Siva worshipped this implement - the three forked spear.

Even the mode of worship proved the existence of Hinduism in ancient times in this country.

The reviewer points out that the author does not accept books written on the ancient history of Lankan Tamilians as they were all written after the 16th century only. ]

As a politician Mr Wigneswaran needs to connect to People through belief. An example that comes to mind is my experience as Nallur Murugan Temple on Tuesday. Two priests were chanting the ancient poems / songs in praise of Murugan. I recognized some but not most of it. The feeling was very calming. I just sat there and felt good. That was a belief based experience. All of us have Equal Opportunity to access that Energy to the extent of our own belief. THAT is the need of People. To the extent we take status - there is less for development of belief.

As per my own experience, to the extent I recognized but did not accept unjust discrimination, I developed ownership Energy in the issue. This helps us pick up early - the disturbance to the order in which our own energy has been invested.

Northern Province’s investment in common law and common administration has deteriorated to very low levels. The reason is lack of belief in the law that they use to ‘win’. Yesterday I wrote:

[...I recently got the confession of a senior legal counsel of about Professor Vitharana’s age stating to me ‘I made a mistake when I quoted the figure of   Rs 20,000 to obtain the Certificate of Heirship. If I charged only that - I would be doing myself a disservice. I need Rs 50,000’. As senior counsel he was part of the management group in Jaffna. This counsel confirms the dangers of ‘monopoly’ that limits development of the mind of litigant. They in turn have produced taxi drivers who claim ownership of parking space and dictate the order in which business is grabbed.  

I refused to oblige and did not even try to reason - after the senior counsel stated that the revised fee was reasonable in light of what I stood to gain! Instead I updated our instructing solicitor to attend and obtain the Certificate on the date fixed by the Court. To me that denial of business to unauthorized occupier of ‘management’ position by the apparent senior counsel who was depending on the outcome is a major reason for disorderly conduct of a good proportion of Jaffna community. If TNA is representing such folks - then it is a natural representation. ]

The parallel of the above in the base of Professor Pathmanathan’s book is to write to impress those who already have high status. While assisting an academic who was dismissed by the University of Jaffna - where Professor Pathmanathan is Chancellor. Professor Kandasamy who is currently acting in the position of Vice Chancellor demonstrated serious breaches in Administration and Management of Human Resources within the boundaries of law. Had Professor Pathmanathan’s role as Chancellor been completed satisfactorily - his governing power would have been shared with others including the Vice Chancellors. The institutions we head - are the temples of our services. If Northern Province was Mr Wigneswaran’s temple - he would have written a policy paper to educate the staff there,  on the basics of Separation of Powers between Administration and Judiciary. The registrar there requires lawyers’ help to issue a Certificate of Heirship as per the judgment already delivered.

My assistance to the staff of the University of Jaffna has resulted in the staff representing himself. Whether he is declared right or wrong by the judge - is secondary to whether he knows that he is right or wrong. If our ancestors were reliable  governors - and we genuinely respect them - we inherit their Energy. Then our actions are first assessed by them. Then when judges who hold the portfolio currently deliver judgment that contradicts this assessment - we know that they are disconnected with the spirit of tradition. Often they are driven by current desires and their power to distract.

The Northern Judiciary were seriously disrespectful of the Customary Law of Thesawalamai. Accordingly Thesawalami needs to be repealed and Common Law needs to become applicable to inheritance of property. This means they have already declared Unitary State instead of Culturally Diverse structure. It is the duty of Mr Wigneswaran to review those judgments academically before embarking on reviews on books relating to history. Facts beyond the current period are obsolete. Belief is eternal.

In essence, the books is reaction to Buddhism Foremost claim or to use current terminology - LTTE being the Tamil parallel  of JVP but cleverer due to isolation.

YES TO AMERICAN ACADEMIC INTELLIGENCE

NO TO AMERICAN POLITICAL INTELLIGENCE?

[The TNA is not acting in the interest of the Tamil people in the North, or in the other

parts of the country, but instead in the interest of the rich Tamil elite who along with

he Sinhala and Muslim elites (the rich 1% of the population) who are prepared to

serve the cause of America, and not that of the Sri Lankan people. It is in fact time that

 a genuine Tamil leadership is elected to Parliament which thinks first as Sri Lankan and

 then only as Tamil.] The Island article headed ] The Island article - ‘Prof. Vitharana asks

Tamil leaders not to align themselves with UNP promoting US interests’

Professor Vitharana does not have the mandate to express on behalf of Tamils.  I therefore conclude that Professor Vitharana is ‘telling’ Tamils and this effectively is racial discrimination.

Discrimination - be it just or unjust happens within the area of relativity. Separation of Powers as per diversity facilitates progress towards absolute power which is the basis of self-governance. It is one’s duty to the Nation to choose the narrow express pathway to self governance when  the broader common pathway is blocked by leaders who occupy common leadership positions while expressly claiming that their religious pathway is superior. Professor Vitharana who held the portfolio of ‘Senior Minister of Scientific Affairs’ during the Rajapaksa regime - is the litmus test of intellectual balance in the political group that he represents. He would therefore confirm whether  the Rajapaksa leadership would be balanced or biased in relation to the group with whom he shares his thoughts and beliefs.

As for American interests being promoted - a good proportion of current Tamil community in Sri Lanka would be happy to migrate to America in preference to staying in Sri Lanka. By intent - we would continue to exchange places with Americans - especially those who depend on Western monies. That is a natural barter system in immigration. Through such we accept also the threats that Americans face. The Jaffna Tamil has already gone through this experience of global proportions during the ethnic war. Professor Vitharana belatedly presents the following picture:

[Prof. Vitharana said that all faced a terrorist threat as the Easter Sunday attack was likely to be repeated as Zahran was clearly not its leader.

"Till we find who the real leader is and who is behind him the danger persists. It is generally agreed that there was a powerful international force behind the well- coordinated attacks. If the claim that ISIS was behind is correct, there are many questions that arise. In an article published in the Global Research journal, a scholar from Harvard University, USA proved that the USA played a leading role in the establishment, training, and arming of ISIS, and of other extremist Islamic groups like AI-Qaeda and Taliban. The ISIS which hoped to establish an Islamic state in the Middle East has yet to explode a single bomb in Israel, the main enemy of Muslims. Why should they want to explode bombs in small Sri Lanka, with a scattered 10% Muslim population of about 2 million, in which ISIS cannot hope to establish an Islamic state? ]

Good question. But is Harvard not American? If  Sri Lankan academics can naturally accept American leadership - why not Sri Lankan politicians? The Muslim who has realized self-governance through Islam would naturally merge with other Muslims. Likewise Christians and Hindus. To accelerate investment in self-governance through the Common Sri Lankan path - politicians have to lose consciousness of ‘benefits’. Belief based politics is empowered by natural forces. The more conscious we are of ‘benefits’ the greater the risk of desire and its other side - ‘fear’. The self-test is to know that we start believing when we are no longer conscious of the benefits. To the extent we are conscious of benefits we need to use the cost-benefit analysis to maintain a healthy mind. Yesterday when the cab-driver reached Jetwing Jaffna Hotel - he spontaneously stated ‘They have started coming again’. This was invoked by the coach parked at the entrance. Tourists including from Southern Sri Lanka have become relatives of these cab owners. I was happy about that relativity than about false declarations of oneness.

WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE CHURCH?

In defending myself at the Waverly Magistrates’ Court in Australia, I asked Magistrate Sweeney as to who the judge was at the place the alleged offence was reported to have happened? Magistrate Sweeney said that it was the Police Officer in charge. Unless families or institutions seek the help of the Police / Government forces the Government does not have jurisdiction to get involved. Equal Opportunity laws help manifest problems at early stages than under the hierarchical system where the word of the leader is final. Most folks in economically affluent nations / areas would not have the forbearance to not react. Equal Opportunity laws help manifest our opposition at early stages. They need to be integrated into the laws of Multicultural Democracies.

In his article headed ‘THE CARDINAL’S PRAYER AND THE POLITICIANS RESPONSE’ Mr Jehan Perera states :

[Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith expressed the sentiments that are with most Sri Lankans today irrespective of their ethnicity or religion.  At the reopening of St Anthony’s Church, Kochchikade, which was one of the two Catholic churches that were heavily damaged in the suicide bomb attacks on Easter Sunday, he said that many people in the country are living in confusion in the aftermath of the attacks and are wondering whether the country can overcome the situation.  He said "What we need is a leadership that will work for the country rather than themselves. A leader with a backbone who will not protect the guilty. A leader who is not afraid to punish wrongdoers." He added that the country needed leaders who would safeguard the rights of the people and would provide for economic upliftment. “These are the kind of leaders that the country needs today.  We pray that there will be such leaders.”]

If Political leaders are responsible for what happened what was the Church leaders’ responsibility to their devotees? Why did the Cardinal lack the intuitive intelligence to pick up early warning signs by being part of the community? Was the Christian community isolating itself from other cultures which were outliers to the Christian community of Sri Lanka? Jesus did not find fault with those who inflicted pain on Him. Jesus knew intuitively that He would be punished. Jesus knew because Jesus included in Himself the side that was looking to punish Jesus. That is the ownership needed to pick up the early warning signs of the opposition. Jesus was not economically affluent and hence is the example for  majority Sri Lankans - to know and make the decision ‘to oppose or to accept and include’. Like Jesus who made His own declaration about the Kingdom of God - Tamils declared through the Vaddukoddai Resolution 1976.

Let us look at how balanced Jehan’s following  assessment is:

[As the most prominent Catholic leader in the country today, the Cardinal’s words will carry weight on their own.  Sri Lanka is a country where people give deference to religious clergy who are trusted by the communities as having the people’s interests in mind rather than how to obtain their votes.  The Cardinal’s words have even greater weight at the present time as he speaks as the voice of those 259 persons who are no longer on this earth, having lost their lives in the bombings that took place in two Catholic churches and four other locations, including one evangelical Christian church.  Cardinal Ranjith said the Islamist extremists who staged the suicide attacks against three churches and three luxury hotels were misguided youth who will have no place in heaven. "The innocent victims who died while in church are now angels in heaven.”]

Did the Cardinal express similar sentiments when Tamil Christian civilians were killed  at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in the Vaddukoddai suburb of Navaly? Many link the causal forces to the Vaddukoddai Resolution and hence the victims took refuge in the Church. Did Mr Malcolm Ranjith comfort the relatives of those Tamil victims? Or did Mr Malcolm Ranjith conclude that the Government was ‘right’ not only when this Vaddukoddai Christian institution was bombed in 1995 - killing 125 civilians? Or are they not children of Jesus?

Jehan quotes as follows:

[Cardinal Ranjith said the Islamist extremists who staged the suicide attacks against three churches and three luxury hotels were misguided youth who will have no place in heaven.  "The innocent victims who died while in church are now angels in heaven.]

If the above mentioned Inslamist youth have no place in heaven - what about the Sri Lankan armed forces that bombed Navaly church? Would they also rot in hell as per Cardinal’s judgment? Is that why they lacked the intuitive power to pick up the early warning signs and protect Sri Lankans irrespective of the religion? By bombing Navaly church - did the armed forces cut the umbilical cord that would bring them the ‘intelligence’ of fellow Sri Lankans irrespective of religion? What did the Cardinal do to protect the church from such negative karma?

True Opposition would help protect the whole by raising awareness of who we - the opposers are. That would facilitate the true citizen to channel her/his frustration through the regulated path of the law. When isolated - cleverness grows and is manifested in the form of autocratic invasion. The LTTE as well as the Easter bombers were exceptionally clever because they developed themselves in isolation.

Australian Muslim Haisem Zahab who tested Rockets on his Australian farm for ISIS is such an example. He confirmed the return karma of  racial discrimination which leads to early isolation and therefore development of cleverness without feeling social obligations to those beyond one’s culture. The fact that Haisem Zahab was sentenced to only a fraction of the possible 25 year punishment - confirms that the Australian Judiciary has repented and become more inclusive. I feel that my contribution including in relation to this particular case also went towards this. That is how powerful Truth is. It is an independent force that travels independently from mind to mind. Today I join intelligence with a Judge hearing an unfair dismissal case against the University of Jaffna, here in Jaffna Court House. This I believe would naturally protect Jaffna from hurting itself.

TWO PARTY OR COMMON GOVERNANCE?

In its article headed ‘The ulterior motive behind the 19th amendment to the constitution’

News 1st  presents as follows: ‘ If the two main political parties come together to govern

 the country, what impact will it have on the country? It is without a doubt that this will

 indeed make the country and its people victorious. However, though this took place in

the year 2015, a favourable situation as envisaged did not take place. What were the

reasons behind this?’

When two parties are seen to come together the whole is not suitable for democracy. The

 people and the country will NOT suit the system of democracy. Democracy requires us

to view a problem laterally and the point at which we lose sight of the other side is the

border of democracy, and this border confirms the limit within which we would be

successful as a democracy. This is taken as the 50% of the depth required to reach the

‘root’ from the manifestation. Once we go past this point - we lose consciousness of the

form confirming duality and start accumulating energy. From then on there is no need for

 democracy. Democracy is needed by those who are driven by visible outcomes to get to

this half way point. This is usually needed by  majority group in terms of culture. In more

 or less mono-cultural Jaffna - this is more between seniors and juniors - with juniors

enjoying majority power after militancy.

Those who draw benefits on the basis of democracy, have the duty to ensure that they

they operate within those borders of democracy and be open to opposition from

those within those borders. These opposers are the ‘other side’ of the coin. As per the laws of nature - there are two sides to every physical manifestation and up to the point where we consciously recognize a physical manifestation / matter - we

have the duty to recognize that the  equal other side also exists. Hence even if we are a group of 100 and the opposer is a minority of 1 - that opposer is taken to have done the work of a hundred. The visible opposer may be 1. But the force that motivates the opposer to express her/himself with confidence confirms the equal level work done to see the other side and raise it to Energy level without exaggeration nor shrinkage of the real value. Towards this the opposer should not mark the other side wrong - but travel until the root cause is identified with. That is the system of karma.

The Opposition that does equal or more level work is respected as being the other half of government - just as the homemaker is in a family. The difference in numbers confirms the courage that the opposer has, to oppose at the at the express level - as if the work done was equal to that of 100. This in essence is the basis of the Tamil Political Opposition in Sri Lanka.

Deep analysis of the numbers confirmed that the current President won his position due to Tamil votes. This was further confirmed in the Parliamentary elections when the Tamil National Alliance became Opposition in National Parliament in 2015. This is due to the pain of losing members of the community unjustly due to militancy being exaggerated as terrorism. The two-party system was effectively non-existent from 2009 to 2015 when those who genuinely opposed the government were suppressed. If the above statement about one party system is true - then we would have been most successful during that period. The People / groups who were outliers due to indifference until then - became oposers when they became victims of autocracy. The civilians who were killed or injured unjustly - became the silent Energy that was ready to be invoked by the victims during the above period.

If the Opposition leadership was not taken over by some of similar culture and therefore lacking in Opposition power - except in numbers - the Easter bombings would not have happened. This is because Tamils who had the courage to Oppose - without taking an eye for an eye - carry that latent power to prevent and protect us from such manifestations. During the clashes with Buddhists driven by majority force - Muslims who did not have the numbers to show equal power but expressed opposition as per their belief - developed this Energy which would have naturally merged with that of Tamils backed by similar Energy. The Easter bombings  seriously diluted this Energy for minority communities.

One needs courage to oppose and continue to live - knowing that true work and sacrifice never dies. Such Sri Lankans would continue to protect the true Sri Lanka when true believers in Sri Lanka have deep need. So long as Sri Lanka has this protective power - the needs  by all those who are believers in Sri Lanka would be satisfied by that ownership energy.

TAMIL COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS

The young lady at Jetwing Jaffna  reception asked me whether I had had breakfast? I said

 ‘no’. Christina naturally said that I ought to look after myself especially because my

amily was not with me. I appreciated that very much and said that to the extent I was a

caring member of my family, someone like her would fill the ‘family-gap’. Christina

thought about and said that she identified with it. So long as we are ‘relatives’ we are

providers or beneficiaries. Once the relationship in whole or part matures as commonness

- two become one. The services in a relationship would be with or without consciousness

of visible outcomes. The more visible the outcomes - for example money - the less the

commonness value. In the case of Jetwing Jaffna - I strongly feel this commonness due to

 the standards demonstrated by service staff - which remind me of my days with Airlanka

and the training by Singapore Airlines. That training resulted in one of my completed

relationships - forming the base through which I value my work - especially in global

environments.

 Later I received emails from a couple of Diaspora leaders about a young member of the

Diaspora Plumbers without borders? Looking back, looking forward at Oxfam | Danny Sriskandarajah | TEDxLondon  at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKmHNgFhgdA

I knew Danny as part of the Tamil Diaspora in Australia. Danny, like his parents was an

outstanding academic achiever. But I guess due to my own current role in Jaffna - I could

not identify with much of Danny’s position in relation to OXFAM where Danny is CEO.

Danny for example, talks about growing up with his grandparents in a little island off the

 coast of Sri Lanka where there was no running water nor electricity.  That same area

became the training ground for Jetwing Jaffna under the leadership of General Manager

Mr Christopher Ponnadurai who shared his wisdom about current workers in Jaffna -

many of whom would have grown up under the conditions that Danny described in

relation to his own childhood.

I identified more with the contribution being made by General Manager Mr Christopher

Ponnadurai who is sharing himself with the folks even though he could be enjoying like

many in the Diaspora by relaxing and touring the globe. I learnt that Mr Christopher

Ponnadurai’s family is in Melbourne, Australia. The Service provided by this gentleman

is that of a parent to the common child.

Later when I was sharing experiences with a young family of toddy-tapper origin - at the

Cargills Food Court - I said to Jeevan - who was born on the same day as my youngest

child - that it was important to follow Due Processes as much as he could - as they would

 bring him the blessings of those from other parts of our community - he may never meet.

 I said if he did not know the Common Rule / Law - to be guided by his truth. The

discussion was about distribution of family wealth where various members of Jeevan’s

family had differing structures to Jeevan himself.

Members of that family continue to tap toddy for income and hence it would be wrong

to not recognize that caste-based identity which is the parallel of race within the Tamil

community. I however doubt that the Tamil Diaspora would find this interaction and

sharing as interesting as the one in relation to Danny to whom neither Jeevan nor a large

part of Jaffna youth who are seeking to preserve their identity, would relate. Jeevan’s

family in Thunaivi do not have running water even now. But a good proportion of

Jeevan’s family, including Jeevan paid / pay for their children to be educated at Jaffna

College. Hence they are my relatives.

DID MR HISBULLAH CARRY LTTE NEGATIVES?

 Juniors in Autocracy become Equal Opposition in Democracy. When majority in an area act like seniors - they go back to Autocracy. Often they draw benefits in the name of Democracy. The Island reports as follows about the Parliamentary Select Committee inquiring into the Easter Bombings:

[Sumanthiran: Why did you say in Parliament that there could be a bloodbath if harassment of Muslims continued?

Hisbullah: That was said in a different context. There was a proposal to merge the Northern and Eastern provinces. Then our people expressed their opposition to that proposal. I echoed their voice. Our people didn’t want to live under continued harassment from the people of the North. I warned that there would be a bloodbath if the provinces were merged.]

There are Muslims still living in North - sometimes in hostile environments but largely in harmony with non-Muslim Tamils. But leaders who separate Muslims from Tamils become leaders of smaller group. As per the system of belief - one needs deeper belief than a senior / member of majority group - to invoke the power of truth in support. The senior needs deeper belief to include the junior and present common face. Extremism separates. Tamils who play the role of seniors in Eastern Lanka have to include Muslims before becoming eligible to be leaders in East. Now I understand why Madam Kumaratunga who was then President asked me in relation to Tsunami Reconstruction work whether I was from Batticaloa area. The natural expectation was that I would be, LTTE failed to include East as part of the whole. Those who carry LTTE victory would likewise lack the depth to include Muslims through affirmative action.

As per my discovery when someone dies and we appreciate their goodness - we strengthen our own goodness. On the other hand if we disrespect the dead we would inherit their negatives. Separation is preceded by death of the old. Hence in the mind of Mr Hisbullah - then the governor of Eastern Province - the negatives of Tamil political and militant leadership became genes - pre-existing base. This would naturally infect the community that he is part of. In conclusion - he became  a carrier of the LTTE separation genes and also cause the Easter bombings. The current positives have to be stronger than such forces to keep them dormant.

CONSTITUTION INFECTED BY SOONIYAM / VOODOO?

Most citizens are conscious of common family and workplace requirements. The are the unwritten laws of various groups - including religious groups. Each time we discover truth that needs to be shared - we have the duty to the relevant institution to integrate that discovery with the existing laws of the group. The person/s discovering would identify with that need. The Sri Lankan constitution was amended to dilute the executive powers of the President. Such a need was expressed by the incumbent as a basis on which he presented himself as an appropriate candidate in the 2015 Presidential elections. It is now obvious that he did not BELIEVE in the need for lesser executive powers to the President. What are the natural consequences of such deception?

As per News 1st report on this subject matter:

[Gevindu Kumaratunga criticized Jayampathy Wickramaratne, very person who suggested the committee. This brought to my mind a recent experience with a Vaddukoddai businessman who was defaulting in his repayments of business loan. When asked he said that his brother in law was keeping ‘Sooniyam’ / Voodoo and started narrating why he thought so. After listening to him for a little while - I said words to the effect ‘I gave you the loan because you demonstrated respect and also common belief. When lending the money I stated specifically that I accepted  your need to purchase goods during the festive season. If you had acted in good faith  - those goods would be available for sale now. By making use of the funds for other purposes - you have kept Sooniyam on yourself.’

The loans are interest free. Hence the system of belief is the appropriate system through which we can find truth and return the karma on the person making false promises.

Elected members of Parliament have the duty to measure through belief first especially the laws made during their period in parliament. If they are disrespectful - they keep Sooniyam on themselves. Politicians who make promises likewise - to the extent the People believed that they were voting for that stated promise. Even one true citizen has the power to return the karma to the person who made such promises. Belief is Absolute power and hence just one person is enough - as Gandhi confirmed.

The Sri Lankan Government that failed to respect the truth that resulted in the 13th Amendment to the Constitution - would continue to do Sooniyam on itself. Every victim who was killed unjustly during the ethnic war has the power to return the karma in one direction or the other. The true heirs of such victims inherit that power. A true heir is one who believes in the elder and/or the heritage. When Mr Hizbullah was appointed as the President’s representative in Eastern Province - the President kept Sooniyam on himself. It was disrespectful of the Spirit of the 13th Amendment which resulted due to India’s participation in finding a solution to the ethnic problem. The President - knowingly or otherwise practiced ‘divide and rule’ and hence lost the support of Tamils in East who genuinely fought for self-governance. Northern Province was protected and this was confirmed through the appointment of Dr Raghavan - a Tamil Sri Lankan as the Governor.

So long as the constitution was amended through Due Processes - it needs to be accepted as the belief of the whole parliament. The Opposition is taken as the junior believer through this particular form. Due Processes confirm the Energy of those who established the system and those who genuinely practiced and maintained that system. The are often invisible to those who are driven by immediate outcomes. But those who follow such Due Processes are supported by our ancestors. The architects of the 19th Amendment, to the extent they followed Due Processes - are fit and proper persons to inquire into the Easter Bombings - in terms of Policy and therefore Sri Lankan psychology.
