Mirror ! Mirror! Who is the world’s Most Victorious Defeater of   Terrorists?

When my nephew-in-law rang this  morning to inform of us about the passing away of a distant relative in London, I said to him that given that he had failed to take a stand with my husband’s brother’s testamentary case through his truth – I saw no value in this information sharing about a distant relative about whom I did not hear my husband speak. He was therefore a part of the common community. I said instead, my active participation in the Testamentary matter to lift it to high court level despite the insults at family and primary court level – was valuable memorial through the position held by my brother in law whose escalated value is now residing in American and Australian libraries as well as with the University of Jaffna -  through my book ‘Naan Australian’.

I felt deeply touched when reading the Colombo Telegraph’s article of pain ‘My Child Will Go To School When President’s Granddaughter Goes To School’ by Grusha Andrews, which includes the following passage relating to memorials:
[There was no reduction of the pomp and fanfare at the wedding of Daham Sirisena. Sirisena who went to Thirupathi with his family to obtain ‘blessings’ of the Thirupathi God for this wedding went on a solo trip to Singapore.
This wedding is being celebrated in all its opulence, noise and music whilst 250+ dead souls are hovering in the air. These dead souls include the souls of 45 innocent butterfly like children, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters…….
These perished souls were forsaken by the despicable professional political brutalists, the Rajapaksas, who established, supported, funded, and protected Wahhabists in the east. They are brutal murderers by proxy. How Gotabaya Rajapaksa declared his candidacy for president literally over the pulped pieces of flesh and blood of the victims of Easter Sunday says it all.
These perished souls were forsaken by the Muslim politicians and Ministers who are complicit in the fostering of terrorism and Wahhabism in Sri Lanka. They are brutal murderers by proxy. We know their names. I cannot bring myself to type those names. They don’t deserve their names spoken. They are worse than the terrorists.
However heart breaking, the dead are now dead. ……..
Most of all, I’m waiting for President Sirisena’s grand-daughter studying in Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo, to come to school. She has not……
Take note, citizens, Sirisena’s grand-daughter has not come to school. ]

Another communication from a victim expresses agony in the following form:
[I was educated in the UK and when my best friend stayed back I decided to come to the country I love. But now I realise my country does not love me and it will never love any of its citizens as long as those with the highest incompetence and selfishness govern the competent.!
I see post which invite foreigners to come back to Sri Lanka and not to abandon us!
My dear foreigners please don't come here !!!! I witnessed everything that happened at the Shangri-la! I saw the family of the ASOS owner ! I met him.
We can't guarantee your safety!    Not till idiots rule the beautiful land !]

The calls for children to go back to school and for tourists to come back are as deceptive as the claim that the President who is also the Minister for Defence did not anticipate  the bombings to happen, despite the warnings from Indian Intelligence Agency. The question is whether he ought to have. If there was no such responsibility structure in his mind, then is he not of the same mindset as the LTTE then and IS now?

The absence of relativity happens at emotional level and at Spiritual level. At emotional level we need to pass our thoughts through the institutional elders. At Spiritual level we become the medium of Common power. Relativity connects our emotions to feelings through structures of Truth. When we are not governed by Common law – structures become incapable of supporting respect and therefore the protection from such respect.

The ultimate responsibility for the actions and negligence of elected leaders rests with the voters. When the victim stays ‘I realise my country does not love me’, in democracy it means that majority voters do not love me. This means also that majority voters do not love their country nor at least are respectful of their country. That lack of respect confirms lawlessness and v.v.

All of us develop good energies known as punniyam/good karma and bad energies known as paavam / sins. Where right is not recognized and rewarded within its due date / environment – it becomes good karma. Where wrongs are not corrected within their due date / environment, they become sins. They both underpin all our actions. Since most do not recognize this, institutional structures are developed to facilitate our journey as a group. Within that group – the stronger the positive energy, the more reliable the return and hence leadership is awarded to the one with strongest positive energy. When we respect such folks in our own domestic and community environments our structures protect and facilitate partnership with other institutions / nations like ours.

The Sri Lankan Government that claimed victory over Terrorists – confirmed that they did not consider their war to be discipline based. They confessed to having invaded. There are so many indicators including negligence of their duty to the UN,  that confirm that they were not respectful of global structures that helped them successfully meet that challenge. In commonness – that which is taken is from the Common Wealth – the proper and authentic custodians of which are those who contributed through their good karma – needs to be used for common purposes. One who respects commonness will know this to be a duty.

We raise the value of the physically dead – to the higher level – so our Spiritual pool is stronger in value. Likewise we have the authority to draw from such Common Wealth – only to the extent of our relative contribution – including through respect for the higher / deeper contributors. Those who withdraw more than their share lose connection with their own Sovereignty and with the group.

Structures that lead to preservation of our Sovereignty are positive structures. By stating that Islamic State militants were responsible for what happened in Sri Lanka, the President confirms that our own structures failed to protect us. Failing to deliver as per the promises made at the UN level is a major failure – not only on the part of the Sri Lankan Government but also Tamils at their local group levels.

In his Sri Lanka Guardian article ‘Sri Lanka: The Panacea’, Victor Ivan states:
[The State should have acted more responsibility, at least after the extremist Islamist movements raised their head as one of the deadliest terrorist outfits on a global level. The State in its diplomatic dealings with Muslim countries which support Islamist terrorist organisations appearing for extremist ideologies should have been careful not to allow them implement programs for dissemination of such ideologies in the Muslim community of Sri Lanka. ]
Until 21 April 2019, the mirror in the hand of  the Sri Lankan government responded to the

Question:  ‘Mirror ! Mirror! Who is the world’s Most Victorious Defeater of   Terrorists? –

Answer: You are the Most Victorious of all your Excellency – the President of Sri Lanka!

After 21 April 2019 the mirror is responding

Answer : ‘You are still the Most Victorious of all your Excellency – the President of Sri Lanka! but  your stepson the Head of Islamic State who is ready to die for his cause is thousand times more brave than you your Excellency’

The Mirror here are the Voters who, like the mirror do not lie.

But I believe I contributed to Elimination of  Racial Discrimination – which is the global form of the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka. This morning I received some recognition as follows:

[Gajalakshmi, you were way ahead of the UN report.]

I took that as appreciation of my contribution to the ‘Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination’ based largely on my Australian experience. I wrote a paper mentally presenting it to the  UN and presented it to a group of Tamils in Melbourne in early two thousands at the same time Ms Navaneetham Pillai held hers officially.  If mine was of UN standards our Energies would have merged to provide me with global insight.

Had the Sri Lankan government and/or the LTTE supporters done that in their own environments – global energies would have protected Sri Lanka to protect itself from de facto attackers who do not pass their decisions through the reliable structures. This often leads to emotional outcomes and reactions – with the ultimate destination of mental disorders.

Whatever happened had to happen due to us the citizens also. The stronger the pain we feel – the greater the height to which we would lift the separation from the physical forms of our loved ones. But their true love would continue to support us as a common force – protecting us from above and from which we are entitled to draw at all times of need.

Even the Tamil memorial in Canada proposed for May 18 would invoke disorderliness unless it is within the laws of Canada and is not for benefit – especially for political benefit. Lest we forget that the Batticaloa attack was largely against Tamils.

We have a duty to take a common date or the latest date as our Anniversary for mourning – i.e. – 21 April.  Otherwise one is entitled to conclude those who use May 18th  to have forgotten Batticaloa Tamils who are entitled to draw from the Common Tamil Pool. This includes also the Tamil speaking Muslims who are now being targeted the way Tamil civilians were targeted during the Sri Lankan war.

Isolation Sans Truth leads to Extremism

[“It is because of these Sri Lankan characteristics that we have a common Sri Lankan identity. We cannot allow extremism to suppress them. If extremism is attempting to suppress these characteristics, we have to take every necessary step against it,” PM said.] Ada Derana
To my mind the Prime Minister means that he does not want extremism.  The question is ‘how much have we contributed to, to preserve diversity within Sri Lanka?’ Unlike in Australia, religions are identified through positive values at policy level in Sri Lanka. We have ministries for all major religions. The danger  with  belief based identities is that the truly senior religion would naturally become the leading force due to being closer in total value, to the absolute value(god) that all reliable religions lead to. Language does not carry that power. Language gives a common form to particular group of believers including in land that is their home. On that basis – to the extent we group on the basis of land where majority to whom that land is ‘home’ speak a particular language – already have their privacy to develop towards that absolute ownership. But without that base – such claims have no value beyond statistics.

[We hereby state that the united Canadian Sri Lankan community in Ontario overwhelmingly oppose and reject the Tamil “Genocide” day in Toronto, Brampton along with the Tamil “Genocide” Education Week Bill that was tabled at the Ontario Parliament by MPP Vijay Thanigasalam from Scarborough Rouge-Park. According to the 1948 UN convention terminology, “Genocide” does not meet the criteria for such proclamation as it never took place in Sri Lanka. Any such false impartial declarations to hamper the reputation of Sri Lanka and it’s people in Sri Lanka and in Canada may lead to a future lawsuit.
We must also point out that Toronto, Brampton, Ontario and Canada is home to a large concentration of Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim, Malay and Burgher communities of Sri Lankan origin that voted for you to unite us and not divide us.
Sri Lanka experienced a 30 year long post colonial conflict that came to an end in May of 2009. Many Sri Lankans, including family, friends, co-workers and associates of our community were affected. We have received information that certain parties are polarizing this situation for their own separatist cause and political agenda. The latter acts are given prominence instead of remembering Sri Lanka and all it’s people that were effected by this unfortunate post colonial conflict.
Therefore, we oppose and reject any proclamation of Tamil “Genocide” passed in Toronto, Brampton or anywhere in Canada. In a time where our community is trying to overcome and unite to heal wounds of recent tragic terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka we feel such proclamation will only divide and bring back discomfort, and political tensions into our community. For any future proclamation(s) we kindly request you to reassess and have a proclamation similar to that of city of Ottawa to remember all Sri Lankan’s that perished in the 30 year long post colonial conflict.
Our community has mobilized and started a large scale campaign to raise awareness regarding current/future impartial divisive proclamations and bills. We stand united and say never again to any form of violence and terrorism in Sri Lanka, so please assist Sri Lanka and the diaspora to rebuild a united peaceful society.
Thank you,
United Canadian Sri Lankan’s in Ontario ]

First of all – since I am not Canadian,  eligible to vote to elect political leadership at Scarborough Rouge-Park – I should not have been asked to sign the petition. This amounts to ‘conversion attempt’.

Secondly, the threat of legal action is indicated by the following:

[Any such false impartial declarations to hamper the reputation of Sri Lanka and it’s people in Sri Lanka and in Canada may lead to a future lawsuit.]

My way is to take the Common Victim position and file the lawsuit on the basis of my Truth. So long as my claims are within my truth – they would develop commonness in that land. When the need for that commonness is stronger than the need to be ‘marked right’ by the Courts – the Court outcomes would be part of the process and not the final outcomes/destinations. Publicly threatening future  legal action confirms to vexatiousness.

As for the Tamils who are claiming Genocide at local level – they are letting the genie out of the bottle. Migration is rebirth. We are entitled to identify with the genes as a root cause for our problems and opportunities but when invoked – they become genies/pootham/voodoo-image. Mr Sarath Fonseka highlighted in parliament as follows:

[MP Wimal Weerawansa: Did you not know that when you appointed him as the President that he would lead our country to a disaster like this?

Field Marshal Fonseka: I knew. I was against him being fielded the common candidate. It was Chandrika Kumaratunga who brought this kodivine (voodoo).]

I encouraged Mr Sirimanne who lost two of his children in the Easter Bombings to add to his proposed  legal action the members of the National Security Council which would include the President through the Attorney General as well as the Prime Minister. In addition, I urged that the leader of the opposition who was president who claims credit for defeating the LTTE terrorism, also to be included for false claims. I firmly believe that all three were negligent as per the true powers they claimed to have. Elected leaders claim belief based powers. When they lack such powers – it is in breach of our Human Rights to stand within our own truth and do our duties as individuals. Hence their false claims  qualify  as a breach of fundamental right.

Thirdly the position of opposition taken as follows ‘Therefore, we oppose and reject any proclamation of Tamil “Genocide” passed in Toronto, Brampton or anywhere in Canada.’ is false. The declaration ‘Sri Lanka experienced a 30 year long post colonial conflict that came to an end in May of 2009’ is as one sided as the Genocide declaration. If it is belief based the petitioners are entitled to declare it within their territory – as happened with Vaddukoddai Resolution 1976. They are like prayers which cannot be fought against by those outside that circle of belief / religion.

Hinduism in Sri Lanka is different in many forms of practice to Hinduism in India. Yet all three leaders – mentioned about go to Thirupathi and other Hindu shrines openly. To be reliable, the wording of a law needs to confirm the Truth discovered by someone in that environment covered by the law. Hence with Buddhism foremost clause – there is no room for religious equality provisions in the constitution. But to politicians that article 9 – is untouchable due to extremism within the Buddhist community.

As mentioned above, the PM has stated ‘We cannot allow extremism to suppress them. If extremism is attempting to suppress these characteristics, we have to take every necessary step against it’

The bible of any religion reflects the consolidated value of the truth discovered by the leaders of that group. As per my experience, a true believer in the whole has the capability of invoking the other side within juniors of the group or return the outcome to the sender of another group that initiated the blame or credit.

So long as I took junior positions allocated to me in my workplaces in Australia – I was a junior in that system. This was also the case with may Tamils in public service and also the case with Sinhalese during colonial rule. I rebelled when the outcomes produced by me were not integrated with mainstream which was largely autocratic and other migrants who took higher positions practiced reverse autocracy. I guess I knew intuitively that I had to take a stand and publish my findings for the sake of Democracy in whose name I was recruited. I did not win in court but the pathway of truth carried my work to libraries – as heritage value.

Whether as per my truth I consider what happened in Sri Lanka to be genocide – the answer is no. To the extent other Tamils consider it to be so – we become Equal  Subsections within the Sri Lankan Tamil community. The moment we accepted India’s help – we lose the authority to declare on behalf of Sri Lankan Tamils. In this instance Indian political group that  funded Sri Lankan Tamils to fight locally  is the parallel of IS in the Easter bombings. Sri Lankan Tamils who accepted that direct funding arrangement weakened their natural power to work the Sri Lankan system. They became juniors at regional level.

Likewise we need to trace the effects of Buddhism foremost in the constitution. Given that as per natural system – Buddha was born in India and therefore was Indian and Buddha realised Nirvana in India – any instrument of law based on land must exclude all other bases of grouping. Like Islam and Tamil – they are abstract ‘nations’ and not relative within a land-based ownership. Hence Buddhists who included Buddhism foremost article in the Constitution sowed the seeds of extremism in Sri Lanka. In democracy, no entity is senior to another and hence the ceiling through Equality.

As per my discovery – from that point onwards junior works the system and the senior has the duty to facilitate the junior to draw her/his/its benefits and not ‘tell’ the junior. Hence the user-pays system. Likewise Buddhists who are allocated senior position by  the constitution -  have the duty to facilitate non-Buddhists to draw their own benefits through the lawful pathway. When they do not – for example the block through the 6th Amendment to the constitution which includes the law  that “ No person shall, directly or indirectly, in or outside Sri Lanka, support, espouse, promote, finance, encourage or advocate the establishment of a separate State within the territory of Sri Lanka.”  and there is active resistance – that is labelled as ‘extremism’

The parallel of that for religions would be “ No person shall, directly or indirectly, in or outside Buddhist/Islamic  Institutions, support, espouse, promote, finance, encourage or advocate the establishment of a religious state within the  territory  of Buddhism/Islam.”

Such limitations block sharing and limit the person to the primary level. Hence the wedding celebrations by political leaders during this period of mourning.

If Buddhism is foremost – then through seniority India where Buddha was born is the leader. Hence as per Dharma / Natural law of belief – India is the whole in which Sri Lanka becomes the State.

The minds of politicians who failed to repeal article 9 shrunk to that little Buddhist Lanka level. When the wheels of Natural Justice / Dharma are thus blocked – the return happens from time to time to maintain the balance of Sovereignty – to support all those who have lived within their Truth.

Hence Prime Minister – unless you are ready to repeal article 9 – your promise is as false as the promise to foreigners by the President – that Sri Lanka was safe now for tourism – to prove which he had his son’s wedding at Hilton. The true statement in the above is ‘go to South India – the way I shifted from Shangri la to Hilton. If Tamil Tigers could shift - so can I and  so can you.  The relativity is valid within the area where we feel free to speak and act. The truth then evolves. From then on that is the law of that place and position.’

Sue the National Security Council Members Jointly and Severally
including for Breach of  Public Peace

I could feel the pain and helplessness that the father who lost two youths in the Easter bombings must be experiencing to file legal action against two Defence officers.  Daily News report  ‘FR petition filed on behalf of bomb victims’ presents as follows:
[The petitioner stated that his two children died due to the bomb blast leaving the petitioner to face the sudden and unexpected loss of both his children at the prime of their youth.
Sirimanne stated that every citizen of this country is entitled to the right of equality before the law and equal protection of the law under Article 12 (1) of the constitution of the republic as a Fundamental Right.
The petitioner seeks to challenge the persistent failure on the part of the Inspector General of Police and the former Defence Secretary to investigate and failure to take appropriate steps to safeguard the public security.]

Article 12 (1) of the Sri Lankan Constitution states as follows:
[12. (1) All persons are equal before the law and are entitled to the equal protection of the law.]

While this would cover the negligence of these officers  - the direct responsibility  is with the National Security Council headed by the President. The President is covered by Immunity through article 35(1) but the common citizen is facilitated by article 126 for taking action against the  Attorney General .
The current Leader of the Opposition who is the immediate past president and chief of armed forces – also failed to share his wisdom which as per his claims of having defeated LTTE terrorism – belongs to the Intelligence Bank of Sri Lanka. If his claims were true – then he would have  had the intuition to pick up the early warning signs and warn the current president about it. It is the fundamental right of every citizen to expect every elected member of parliament to share their belief based intelligence gained through official positions. In addition – the IGP at the time of bombings was Mr Pujith Jayasundara is from the constituency of the Leader of the Opposition which entitles the common citizen to expect development of belief based connections.
In democracy, the leader of the opposition is required to be from a party that is distinctly diverse in its makeup to the governing party. This is why the leading opposition by law is allocated Equal status as the party forming government. This is a fundamental responsibility in any democratic structure. This prevents blind following as if one is junior to the other – as in autocracy.
The above mentioned petition represents the Common Citizen who is entitled to respect from national leaders while the Common Citizen is in mourning.
The following reports confirm that the President, the current leader of the Opposition and the Prime Minister were all lacking in at least showing respect for the Common Citizen of Sri Lanka who is mourning at the moment due to misplaced trust in the Government and its agencies:

1.     [Opposition leader Mahinda Rajapaksa was in a multi-color handloom shirt and sarong, not his white national dress with the maroon satakaya (shawl) around his neck, when he greeted President Maithripala Sirisena at the latter’s residence on Thursday night.
He said he did not have time to change clothes for Sirisena’s meeting with leaders of Opposition political parties. He had been at the wedding of onetime Minister, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene’s son. Looking dapper, the President replied that he too was at a wedding of the son of former Minister Vijith Vijithamuni de Soysa MP. It was to be held at the Shangri La Hotel. Due to its closure after damage caused by the Easter Sunday carnage by pro-IS terror groups, the reception had been shifted to Temple Trees, now the official residence of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Politicians make the laws, give pledges and break them. In this case, it is with disregard to the reality that a nation is mourning the brutal massacre of more than 250 men, women and children. There are over 480 injured, some of them seriously. Schools are closed and children cannot attend for fear of attacks. Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, wants to assign at least one police constable for each school to protect children. For the same reason, Sunday mass cannot be held in churches, Friday Jumma prayers in mosques and even poojas at Buddhist or Hindu temples. But a hallowed public institution, heavily secured by armed Police Special Task Force (STF) commandos becomes a wedding hall for the privileged. Replying to Basil Rajapaksa, President Sirisena explained that giving Temple Trees was inevitable. Former minister Vijith Vijithamuni Soysa would be unable to find an “auspicious hour” for the next one year or more. For the vast majority in Sri Lanka it was inauspicious not due to their own fault. Their political leaders, a Defence Secretary, a Police Chief and intelligence officials, who lacked common sense, had failed in their duty. Yet, not for ministers and MPs are those inconveniences. Not when state resources are so easily available. Some even sought enhanced security.

2.               [The wedding of President Maithripala Sirisena’s only son, Daham, will take place at the Hilton Colombo at 9.30 a.m. today. Daham Sirisena, who is the President’s youngest child, will wed Nipuni Athulaweeraratne. The wedding was originally supposed to be at Shangri-La, but after the Easter Sunday bombings targeted the Chinese-owned five star hotel, the venue was shifted to the unaffected State-owned Hilton Colombo. The poruwa ceremony will be held at 9.53 a.m. Daily FT learns that in spite of the Easter Sunday tragedy that claimed 257 lives, and struck fear into the country at large, the wedding ceremony will proceed as scheduled, on the same grand scale. There has been no reduction to the number of guests, nor attempts to mute the grand celebrations in light of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks that victimised hundreds of families.] http://www.ft.lk/front-page/President-goes-ahead-with-son-s-wedding-today/44-677873

The Common Citizen is entitled to the right to witness demonstrated  respect from the Government during the period of mourning the loss due to negligence of the government. The loss happened due to negligence of the Government and the least they ought to have done was to cancel all publicly visible celebrations. It is in Breach of the Peace that the Common Sri Lankan Citizen is entitled to during this period – including to mourn with global victims in this instance.

The Kerala Kochikade Spice Trade Genes

One of my readers demonstrated appreciation for my work by responding to my yesterday’s article as follows:

[You said that Kerala is very similar in culture of northern Sri Lanka. In Sotheren Sri Lanka near Galle we have a similar type of culture I.e. in food appam idiappam  - in attire of women jacket and cloth- we call it cheetta on sinhala.]
I responded as follows: ‘This means that Southerners also have their roots in Malabar coast. I read about migration to Ceylon from Malabar coast to Sri Lanka, in a book – I think the title was ‘Revolt in the temple’. It confirms also the commonness in our caste systems  which came through these migrants.’

Another – a Tamil also demonstrated value and affection as follows:
[Hi Gaja.most of your article are too long and confusing the reader. Try to stick to the topic when  you write. Here I suppose that you want to tell the reader that your views on the recent events from 21st April but more on Tamils being used as  scapegoat. Yes the government is not in unison.  President has been told of the imminent threat from ISIS yet he did not want the  PM to know. He had gone to India for worship at Vishnu temple. The "emergency" is  a response  to subjugate Tamils. The JVP leader in the house had pointed his finger at the president and PM also at Rajapakses brothers. It seems that  the logical conclusion would  be that they(Sinhala politicians) are still using LTTE as a means to continue with their political agenda/ambitions to win more seats and get power. Present Government sources have no intention to solve the Tamils have series of problems to date, since the independence and or to solve the current promises. This event has given the government a good excuse to avoid taking the blame on them selves that they have been too soft on Tamils.
Sorry for imposing my own thinking. Hope you understand the dilemma of your readers. I frequently get confused reading your articles and stop reading them. Since I was interested in the present event I kept on reading to get your views on this matter. Thanks again for tolerating my comments.
]
I responded as follows to the Tamil brother [Mine tend to be philosophical and hence can be difficult for others of different mindset to appreciate. As I keep stating – we would interpret what happened as per our investments and the levels at which we invest. Since I am currently working with the folks in Jaffna – those of you who left Jaffna and have not continued  your experiences at that level would not  directly connect to what I am saying. Try becoming Sri Lankan Tamil in your mind and then you will better appreciate the common connections that I am highlighting. I have highlighted below in red – the common family example. On that basis I ask you whether LTTE is junior or senior or friend to you? ]

Both feedbacks are of value to me. Former is at common level Sri Lankan and the latter is as Common Tamil opposing Sinhala politicians.
I include family experiences so that all in my circle would be covered. I believe that when I write with faith – all those of common faith would be empowered even if they do not read my work. The family example for today’s article is about how much of our birth family happenings we are entitled to include in our married family outcomes.

My husband said once that he felt sorry for  his elder sister who was stopped from school to takeover the homemaking activities after their mother passed away when my husband was two years old. When I first learnt about this from my husband – there was no mention of him feeling sorry. In fact he said that it was his father who had taken care of most of his needs. But later – when there was some dispute over common wealth – and the sister  accused him of being ungrateful – (as majority in government accuse minority and ask them to go back to their homeland)  - he added the ‘sorry’. The sister expressly blamed the father but not my husband who attributes to his father especially for his achievements in education. I stuck to my truth as per my experience with my sister in law and said that my husband was speculating. I said what happened due to his father’s will and if he sang the ‘sorry-song’ then effectively he was finding fault with the father’s structure. Then my husband felt terrible and demonstrated remorse that he had let his father down. I then explained to him that to the extent he brought  ‘what happened in that structure into this new structure’ – without experience of judgment back then – he was being frivolous. To the extent he demonstrated respect for his sister – he completed that relationship and that value would come with him. I said if he allocated ‘rights’ to his sister then the apparent ‘wrongs’ are to his father. I said if he did want to bring that experience into our married life – then he needed to allocate equal listening resources as ‘telling’ to my woes as a child. I said then we would both be living in our respective pasts and would not enjoy the joys of present structure we have developed together – especially if he was indebted to his father through lack of respect / gratitude.

Sri Lankans seeking to live in Democracy have no right to bring what happened in the past. They have every right to bring their belief into the present but not use that in the old form. Formless belief naturally merges with our current energies.

Out of the above readers of my articles, the former led me to the Kochikade genes – confirming to me – a believer in St Anthony of Kochikade - that the Kerala connection was true. The deeper we go – the more likely we are to find the ‘gene-connection’ to complex problems. My search led me to the following:

[Kozhikode  also known as Calicut, is a city in Kerala, India and the headquarters of the Kozhikode district. The Kozhikode metropolitan area is the second largest urban agglomeration in Kerala with a population of 2 million as of 2011. The city lies about 276 km south west of Bangalore, 235 km south of Mangaloreand 525 km south west of Chennai.

During classical antiquity and the Middle Ages, Kozhikode was dubbed the City of Spices for its role as the major trading point of Indian spices. It was the capital of an independent kingdom ruled by the Samoothiris (Zamorins) in the Middle Ages and later of the erstwhile Malabar District under British rule. Arab merchants traded with the region as early as 7th century, and Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed at Kozhikode on 20 May 1498, thus opening a trade route between Europe and Malabar. A Portuguese factory and the fort was intact in Kozhikode for short period (1511–1525, until the Fall of Calicut). The English landed in 1615 (constructing a trading post in 1665), followed by the French (1698) and the Dutch (1752). In 1765, Mysore captured Kozhikode as part of its occupation of the Malabar Coast. Kozhikode, once a famous cotton-weaving centre, gave its name to the Calico cloth… The exact origin of the name Kozhikode is uncertain. According to many sources, the name Kozhikode is derived from Koyil-kota (fort), meaning fortified palace…]
Scientifically speaking we generally trace our genes to our biological families. DNA tests can confirm our heritage connections. The superstitious form of it – i.e.- hearsay is from one’s imagination – as presented through genie   in the bottle which when let out destroys current structures. The Tamil saying goes as Kinaru vetta pootham vanthathu / when the well was being dug the genie came out. This means when we dig into inherited problems - instead of finding the genes that would lead to acceptance of incurable diseases / weaknesses  – we invoked the superstitious genie to do our bidding.

The father of the leader of the genie squad is reported to be a  Spice Merchant and hence is likely to have felt at ‘home’ in Kerala’s  Kozhikode – the  City of Spices. The way we Tamils refer to the kingdom of Jaffna – Kerala would have been Kingdom of Kozhikode to those who are looking for sledging opportunities to get over any humiliation in the area they considered to be their current home. That was Buddhism foremost Sri Lanka. That genie was released by some Buddhists including monks  even during this post bombing period when most of us are in pain – largely due to our genes. Like Pauline Hanson did here in Australia – they also release the genie from time to time – to do their bidding.  Those to whom the place is really home – stay on. I was ready to go back to Sri Lanka after Pauline Hanson’s superstitious expressions but Australia kept me as part of itself. So I became global towards which I needed to lose consciousness of particular country – except at genes / heritage level.
Similar connections are shown to the current political leadership by UTHR (J) – University Teachers for Human Rights Jaffna – at http://www.uthr.org/Book/CHA01.htm

The following  takes us to the reverse-autocracy genes in Politicians from Low-Country Sinhalese group:

[In the Kandyan region itself the reaction to Low Country Sinhalese small traders was often sharp. The following remarks by S.D. Mahawalatenna, Chief Headman in charge of the Kadawata and Meda Korales in the Ratnapura District, appeared in the Ceylon Census of 1901 (p.115 of Appendix in Vol.1):

“The relation of the low-country Sinhalese man to the Kandyan is the same as that of the foreign born Tamil, Moor or Malay. He comes and goes…The low-country man comes and sticks on. He flourishes in any soil and in any clime; he is a sort of human parasite. Given time and opportunity he will, as it were, absorb the Kandyan, leaving him neither his lands, nor his chattels, nor even his independence. Very soon the Kandyan landlord, who at first befriended the stranger, the low-country man, and lodged him, tenanted him and patronised him, owing to certain circumstances, changes place with the latter. By degrees the plot thickens till at last the low-country man becomes the landlord and the Kandyan the tenant…”]

Nationhood by those who use arms to attack, is a fallacy in a democratic environment. Nationhood is like formless god whereas country is like the temple where we believe god power is enshrined. Sinhala Nation, Tamil Nation and Islamic Nation are all genies when used by those who use arms to attack. When Buddhist leaders stop releasing their gene from the bottle – others will withdraw their own genies. The Easter Sunday attacks targeted Christians and their extended world of tourism. Negombo is known as Little Rome. Hence one is entitled to conclude on the basis of the principle of balance of probabilities - that  the attacks were due to IS genie. There is no direct cure for this – except to keep the border controls tight. Finding fault with resident Muslims to whom Sri Lanka is ‘home’ would lead to more IS genie being released again and again.
