Beware of Vexatious Election Calls

An elected member of Parliament  has the duty to limit her/his expressions of judgment to the group that elected her/him. The head of that member’s political party has the duty to limit her/his expressions to the party’s share of membership in parliament. Hence the group that wins most seats gets to lead the political aspects of government – for example votes in parliament. In democracy – the group demonstrating distinct diversity in outer values that gets the second highest votes – becomes the Equal Opposition. Under Autocracy such a person / group would the eldest junior and would need to wait for time to promote them to the top. Where the groups fail to show diversity – they actually confirm suitability for autocracy. Buddhism foremost which renders senior position to Buddhism – confirms that the Sri Lankan constitution and its makers are autocratic and therefore are not suited for democracy.

Any member of parliament seeking to express judgment has to use the law and the principles governing the relevant law to judge and mark rights and wrongs – as we do using scientific theory.  Every citizen has equal right to so judge for her/his  own purposes. Beyond that one has the right to take the matter before  the judiciary. To my mind, to criticize the law solely for the purpose of harassing the opponent amounts to vexatious litigation.  One who believes in the law and the system of law would never be vexatious. Wikipedia presents the following understanding:

[Vexatious litigation is legal action which is brought solely to harass or subdue an adversary. It may take the form of a primary frivolous lawsuit or may be the repetitive, burdensome, and unwarranted filing of meritless motions in a matter which is otherwise a meritorious cause of action. Filing vexatious litigation is considered an abuse of the judicial process and may result in sanctions against the offender.
A single action, even a frivolous one, is usually not enough to raise a litigant to the level of being declared vexatious. Rather, a pattern of frivolous legal actions is typically required to rise to the level of vexatious. Repeated and severe instances by a single lawyer or firm can result in eventual disbarment.]

Today, through  Newsfirst News Line, program, the Hon. Shehan Semasinghe, M.P. – member for Anuradhapura district in Sri Lankan Parliament kept criticising the 19th Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka. http://col3negtelevision.com/tv-1-news-line-08-05-2019-col3neg-117116.html
Mr Semasinghe expressed the view that elections should be held whenever the People wanted to do so. Mr Semasinghe did not explain how the belief based will of the People was to be determined and given form. As per the above definition of vexatious actions - Mr Semasinghe is guilty of being vexatious.

Many of us – non-Buddhists – do not find a logical balance in the Buddhism Foremost article in the Constitution. Yet we continue to practice our respective religions within the space allocated to us. Since the Constitution is the first law of belief one would expect it to have logical balance – just like any reliable scientific theory. A true practitioner of Equal Opportunity principles in her/his environment – develops the inert powers to effectively activate the vexatious dismissal in any environment – including in journalism and politics. Often they are the invisible powers. Belief in another / others confirms vertical power. Belief in oneself only confirms  lateral power at primary level.

The picture presented by Mr Semasinghe was read by me – as a vote of confidence to hold elections before the full term. Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa did just that which is presented as follows by Wikipedia:
[Two years ahead of schedule, in November 2014, Rajapaksa signed an official proclamation confirming that he will seek re-election for a third term, after being unanimously endorsed by his Sri Lanka Freedom Party. The first time any Sri Lankan President has ever done so. Though his second term officially was to end in November 2016, he could legally seek re-election after completing four years in office, a marker his office said he passed on November 19.]

As the reports confirm,  Mr Rajapaksa consulted with his Astrologer to shorten the term facilitated  by law – which was six years. He lost and one is entitled to conclude that this was because the true votes of belief  of Sri Lankans  confirmed that  majority were against Mr Rajapaksa.

A true vote is one cast by a true believer in Sri Lanka and the Equality of every voter top whom Sri Lanka is ‘home’ irrespective of their status through various avenues. If therefore Tamils for example voted with the belief that they were Equal Sri Lankans  - knowing very well that they were not likely to form government – their vote would be greater in ownership value than Sinhalese who vote as per their expectations of quid pro quo returns for their votes. Then democracy promotes equilibrium of belief – by drastically demoting the second highest vote winning Sinhalese party. This confirms also that by belief in Sri Lanka - the voters have become common and have transcended the physical differences –directly and/or through their leaders in family, workplace and politics. Practice of Common Law is such an avenue. Hinduism, Islam and Christianity in Sri Lanka are also such common pathways.  Together they could become a stronger force than Buddhism foremost followers.
The real value of a vote is based on this common belief. If the consolidated value of votes of Hindus, Muslims and Christians is more common than the value of Buddhists – then a fair election would confirm the picture that evolved in 1977 and in 2015 – which confirmed Tamils and therefore minorities as the leading Opposition in National Parliament. The attack on one’s belief returns to the attacker exponentially. The deeper we believe – the less our consciousness  that we are minority. Hence – Gandhi’s saying ‘Even if you are a minority of One the truth is the truth’. Pure Truth is Absolute power that no human collective power could equal at primary level. True belief brings down the votes of ancestors of that area against  those who abuse majority power.

The Sri Lankan President confirmed lack of belief in the law through his actions in October 2018. Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa was a partner in this. Mr Rajapaksa stole the Leader of the Opposition position from Tamils after the  October coup. This meant the loss of Sovereign power that flows from belief based structure.  Hence the Attack from outsiders. The Sri Lankans I believe in will identify with this belief based balanced logic.

When someone dies, the land where they die acquires their real values – be they good or bad – exponentially. Hence the memorials to clear the bad and enhance the good heritage of Sri Lankans to be born.  American, Kieran  - who was 11 years old ,  died in the Easter bombings and his father Alexander Arrow shares his belief that Kieran was special - ‘Father of Boy Killed in Sri Lanka Easter Bombing Wants the World to Know What It Lost’ – by CBN news.

As per my belief, by dying in Sri Lanka and by being mourned by Sri Lankans – Kieran has shared exponentially his true talents of global value. Much as I would not want that kind of pain – I do believe that birth and death are Divine. The fact that the death happened on Easter Sunday confirms to the true believer that all those who died without any relationship to the killers added value to Sri Lanka exponentially through their respective goodness. Likewise all civilian war victims which contributed exponentially to the downfall of Rajapaksas in 2015. The Easter Sunday  killers’  relatives – through common purpose – which may or may not include biological relationships – would reap the equal and opposite other side – exponentially. This is why we need to do our best and leave the rest to the Lord / Common Truth.

What happens during the leadership of a person is naturally owned by the leader. Those who take ‘credit’ for war victory – are automatically debited with exponential value of civilians who were helpless and therefore became children of God. They say that all is fair in love and war. This is so – so long as one does not take credit nor allocate debit. One who takes credit in love or war gets the other side exponentially. Likewise one who takes debit in love or war get the other side opportunities exponentially.

LTTE Kept Alive by SLFP ?

I learnt through my family experiences that those who take credit only for the benefits (including victories) when they were in high positions but fail to offset the debits during that same period are making business out of relationships and therefore are not capable of developing reliable Administrative structures leading to Self-Governance.

As per President’s Media Division report headed ‘President briefs diplomatic community about the successful operations to curb terrorism and bring back normalcy’, following is an indicator to Sri Lankans about the share that the current president contributed to intelligence into the war in Sri Lanka:

[Explaining the success of operations, he pointed out Sri Lankan intelligence experiences gained during the 30 year old conflict and they were useful to carry out anti-terrorism measures]

As a parallel – to the question ‘When you were defence secretary, how was your rapport with India?’ by Ms Lakshmi Subramaniam of the ‘Week’  published by Sri Lanka Guardian,
Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa confessed as follows:
[I had a very good rapport with India (smiles). I don’t know if you have read the book Choices. (He picks up the book by former foreign secretary Shivshankar Menon from his huge bookshelf and opens a chapter marked in green ink.) It has a chapter on Sri Lanka. It describes me, a chapter on Gota. It explains our relationship. We met outside the normal channels, out of the foreign ministry, and created a different channel to have this relationship. Three people from here and three people from there, including myself and [presidential adviser] Basil Rajapaksa, Shivshankar Menon, [national security adviser] M.K. Narayanan and [foreign secretary] Vijay Singh. We met very regularly. We exchanged ideas at different times, very sensitive times, and we solved those issues. We had a very close relationship.]
The above confirms to me that Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s relationship with these Indian officials  was very much subjective and that they were his seniors. Recently I said to a young Sri Lankan who was more ‘friends’ with her younger cousin who scored a point by revealing personal ‘secret’ – that she should decide which one she wanted more – relationship or friendship. I said relationship comes with the whole structure. Not so friendship. As a senior relative – she would have ‘lost’ the opportunity to develop respect from the junior, by sharing ‘secrets of excitement of their age’. The above  confirms that Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa did not wear his ‘Position Uniform’ to protect himself from the apparent seniors in that region. Hence there was quid pro quo exchange  of Defence Intelligence pertaining to Sri Lanka – with ‘Foreign  Intelligence’ relevant to Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa in relation to India.
In effect Mr Rajapaksa was confessing to being ‘brainwashed’ by Big Brother India.

When we seek genuinely through the official pathway through which we draw our benefits – the truth that we find at the end of that road may be least expected and painful. But if we uphold that truth, truth of others at that level comes to the discoverer. I discovered this yesterday also – after publishing my article headed ‘Tourism & Terrorism – Separate or One ?’  I highlighted the fire during the opening ceremony of Shangri la, Hambantota – to be an indicator of  negative values to the environment. To me, that is sacred land due to Kathirgamam. Here in Australia, we now attribute to the Indigenous Landowners at the commencement of public events.  The following by Aboriginal activist Ms Catherine Liddle would help a non-Aboriginal Australian to better appreciate the special value of Land to Indigenous communities:

[To not know your country causes a painful disconnection, the impact of which is well documented in studies relating to health, wellbeing and life outcomes... It is this knowledge that enables me to identify who I am, who my family is, who my ancestors were and what my stories are. We are indistinguishable from our country which is why we fight so hard to hang on.] Catherine Liddle, Arrente and Luritja woman, and Aboriginal activist

This is true also of migrants like myself who contributed to harmony by becoming juniors despite being really seniors as per common measure. That ownership is defined by the ‘values’ that we developed in the belief that we belonged in a particular environment – be it land or biological human groups. When this is denied – it becomes painful. When we uphold our belief – others who have travelled along that pathway join us – in global and universal environment. To my mind this was confirmed when I found through Google search – the NSW Government’s court case against me (on the basis of peaceful assembly at the University of NSW)  and another advising me that my book ‘Naan Australian’ was with New York Public Library. The former was painful and  I did experience pain again. Soon my attention was drawn to the New York Library intelligence. This would be information to some but to me it was/is intelligence due to the true work I put into it as ‘service’.

Relatively speaking the Sri Lankan Defence Intelligence received ‘information’ and Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa also has confessed to contributing to that deterioration. This often happens when we artificially lift our work beyond our local borders. LTTE was thus lifted to global level – and finally when the IS  wolf arrived no one ( including the President and the Defence Department ) believed Sri Lankan government.

The 30 year war has become a myth because Karuna Amman – the Eastern head of LTTE was bought over by Mr Gotabhaya Rajapksa and his brothers from around 2007. The war ended in 2009. Hence the claim could only be 2 years and that too with the help of Karuna Amman whose  Defence capability will work only in militant environment headed by someone like Velupillai Prabhakaran.

To find the root cause of the conflict towards a permanent solution one needs to keep going towards the invisible root / truth / energy until one is not able to go further physically and/or mentally. Our real problem – the problem that we are capable of recognizing will bloom as opportunity at that level. When we stop short – at the apparent level – the other side also manifests – for example Kerala Ganja that has infested Sri Lanka. The author of the book ‘Choices’ mentioned above is Mr Shivshankar Menon  who according to Wikipedia hails from Ottapalam in Palakkad district of Kerala. The Energy of the weapon comes from the mind of the person who holds the  weapon. Kerala is very similar in culture to Northern Sri Lanka. Soora Padman – the demon - kept changing forms and finally become peacock (the vehicle of Muruga) and rooster (early warning system) in the flag of Muruga. Tamil combatants who surrendered to Lord Muruga became the global media that carries the Lord of Observation and provide the Early warning indicators due to their insight into militancy. Lord Muruga was born out of the third eye of Lord Shiva – as sparks of fire. The third eye is the eye of insight. Any true devotee of Kathirgamam would have identified with the early warning signs – for truth comes to the believer at the time of believer’s need.

The President as well as Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa are seen as being part of SLFP. Since both are invoking LTTE by using their name after claiming victory   an SLFP led government would invoke LTTE like Opposition to show up their heroism. If Sri Lankans vote them into government – we must accept war-like environment during their leadership.

Tourism & Terrorism – Separate or One ?

Today is my cousin Rathi’s birthday. Even though Rathi was younger than I, Rathi completed this chapter of her life early. I remember Rathi’s birthday because remembering birthdays and wishing was part of our family tradition. Later, Rathi and I physically lived in different circles but I remember and appreciate Rathi because I carry part of that structure that supported me during my days as a beneficiary of the service of elders in the family.  The root of that remembrance is the common belief developed through that structure. To my mind, governance is that belief and the common structure that is supported by that root/belief  is the heritage that younger members of our family have the opportunity to inherit.

Genuine emotions, like majority vote are valid when we live physically together. Structures are needed to carry the net value of that physical togetherness once we move away from that group or part of that group through seniority. Such promotion from beneficiary to service provider happens automatically when we share the outcomes of our contributions with others in the group. Only beneficiaries who respect us are entitled to receive those outcomes. When we expect return benefits – we demote ourselves to (trading) beneficiary  level.

Belief  resides within us as feelings. Feelings confirm oneness with the one we feel for. Emotions when used outside our current physical circles lead to destruction of common structure under whose roof we feel protected to express ourselves freely – for example within family.

BBC reports as follows in relation to the President  of Sri Lanka:

[Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena has told the BBC that he believes the Islamic State (IS) group chose to mount attacks in his country to show they still exist.
Police in Sri Lanka have blamed two local Islamist groups for the Easter Sunday bombings, but acknowledged that they must have had support from groups abroad. IS has said it was behind the suicide attacks, which killed more than 250 people.
Mr Sirisena also told the BBC's Secunder Kermani that he would not resign despite criticism that the government failed to act on warnings.]
As governor of Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan President would legitimately believe and express only through the parallel of IS in Sri Lanka – which is part of the Armed forces. I was reminded of it when I received an email headed ‘In the name of Islam and Allah’, from a Catholic. In the current communication to armed men in Muslim attire were shooting indiscriminately their prisoners – as if they the prisoners were mere substance. But that Catholic did not circulate the Channel 4 graphics. To me the apparent reason is that he is a Sinhalese and therefore did not express abhorrence  towards Sinhala Army who were reported to have acted in the same manner as the above men in Muslim clothes.
Had Mr Sirisena had feelings for Sri Lanka as a whole – he would have naturally cured such excesses through the internal disciplinary pathway.  So he is not able to recognize his duty to resign.
But to the extent the Sri Lankan armed forces headed by the Government fought as Sinhala Nationalists at emotional level using  ‘sledging’  to demote and defeat the Tamil, the IS would have known through their commonness – that they were seniors amongst groups that use weapons to attack for a living. An official needs to go incognito to identify with through this commonness. Given that the Sri Lankan President has demonstrated very little ownership in the disorderly part of his armed forces – we are entitled to conclude that the president is living by the skin / husk of Terrorism victory – very like Ms Vijayakala Maheswaran who invoked LTTE leader’s name for political majority which is destined to die before it reaches balanced intellectual administration.
There are confessions that would inform the true believers about such frivolous leaders who become open to being brainwashed by the smarter selfish leaders who buy votes to win. They are fed with husk of knowledge (hearsay) by pundits like Professor Rohan Gunaratna who in 2003 referred to the Tamil Tigers as the deadliest Terror organization in the world. If the Sri Lankan armed forces were less disciplined – then they actually killed only the skin of the Tamil Tigers who would then resurrect themselves through others. The disorderly Tamil Tiger who was killed by a more disorderly Army official – would resurrect in the latter’s home. To the extent members of IS like organisations were punished by officials who are more disorderly than the punished  they would naturally add power to that resurrection and v.v. As one of our British guests commented – there was trouble again Northern Ireland which discourages him from going there. This would be the case with tourists coming to Sri Lanka as well.
As per Colombo Page report headed ‘Sri Lanka President pledges to lift the tourism industry impacted by the terrorist attacks’.

But the death of  three children of Denmark’s business magnet Anders Holch Povlsen ought to have warned the President that money cannot protect one  from risks outside the business family. Shangri-La Hotel is part of confirmation that we have fooled the International community about the war-karma of Sri Lanka. Shangri-La Hotels were towards pleasing the Chinese customer. The first of the two – Shangrila Hotels in Sri Lanka built in Hambantota area which to me is land covered by Lord Muruga of Kathirgamam whose protection covers all Hindu Tamils whose presiding deity is Muruga. The following account of the bad omen was published by Daily News on Thursday – 02 June 2016:

[A fire broke out at a pavilion of the newly built Shangri-la resort, in Hambantota, last night.
The incident occurred during the opening of the hotel, graced by President Maithripala Sirisena and other distinguished guests.
Eye-witnesses said the fire broke out during a fireworks display, following the opening of the hotel. The fire brigade was called in immediately after the fire broke out and it was doused with the assistance of employees and residents in the area.]
Land and Fire are members of the Natural Elements family. When one is affected  – it has the power to invoke the other to reward or to punish. All it took was for a true Sri Lankan believing  in Sri Lanka as well as in Murugan – to feel pain due to the war – to invoke the fire . There are plenty of such believers who pay their respects at Nallur and escalate the Tamil-only person’s submissions to the higher level.  The rest happens through the system of Natural Justice / Karma.

Talking about tourism while Christians are bleeding and Muslims are fearful of unjust persecution is callous and disqualifies the speaker from leadership position. I know about unjust discrimination karma in public life largely through my Australian experiences. Had Central Administrators at the University of NSW listened to my pain through Due Administrative process – they would not have been accused of Scientific fraud through the Bruce Hall matter. There also Chinese migrants were empowered by my pain also.

Tourists need to be warned that until there is a root level solution to the ethnic problem -  the karma will continue in various forms. An internal  closure is needed on the basis of Truth.

Emotions have no real value beyond the borders of  the physical grouping;
Intellectual power has no value outside the common measures, laws & theories
Belief alone is our eternal supporter and protector.

Help Heal a Few than Lead Many

I looked out through the window – expecting to see our 18 year old granddaughter and her friend to alight from the bus that had just arrived. They were not to be seen. I texted our granddaughter and she promptly responded that the movie was long and that they would be back home soon – catching Uber taxi. I felt calm and fell asleep. I did not hear them arrive and slept well. This is a contrast to the time I stayed up for my kids to come home after a night out. I believe that the anxieties I felt back then were because of my own upbringing and fear of the unknown here in Australia in the younger generation. But to the extent I prayed  and said ‘thank you’ I believe that my anxiety became valuable. Thanksgiving  completes the experience of prayer. I usually pray to Our Lady at night time. Our common investment has a strong component of Catholic education. To the extent we invested in it of our own free will despite other options, we share in each other’s goodness. Likewise in each other’s pain. It was this that helped me identify with the truth in our granddaughter and I got cured of my anxiety.

When pictures of wounded victims were circulated during and after the 2009 Sri Lankan war – I did not look at them. I read the reports from others of similar height of thought structure. The root of our thought structure is the above mentioned common belief. When I went directly to the camps through the official pathway – my mind was steady enough to listen to the victims and feel with them. I have learnt that that sharing helps them cure themselves of anxiety – especially due to not knowing whether it was their own karma coming back to them. One such parent was also a devotee of St Anthony. He lost his 13 year old daughter and was also imprisoned by the armed forces. During those times I comforted the family without showing any judgment.  After he was released he has been blessed with a daughter and I feel satisfied that he is now more balanced.

This morning I read through the New York Times article headed ‘For Sri Lanka’s Children, the Deepest Scars Are Not Physical’ feeling the pain of young ones as if I were their mother and grandmother. It was painful but without anxiety because like the international community – I did not feel any direct responsibility. In the case of the 2009 war – I felt responsible as a common member of the community that produced armed militants who  did not separate themselves  from other non-violent pathways.  It was their duty to the community that took pride through its investment in education. Hence my criticism especially of Ms Ananthi Sasitharan who assumed a position of leadership that she has not invested in. Hers is trading in the outcomes produced by militants and their Heirs Presumptive at the University of Jaffna. The Heirs Apparent of the LTTE – the ex-cadre have followed in the footpath of their leader who joined forces with the then UNP to get eliminate the Indian Peace Keeping Forces from Sri Lanka. They are more eligible to the LTTE throne than Ms Ananthi Sasitharan and her cohorts – including Mr Wigneswaran who carries the Judicial title of his previous life while actively indulging in primary level politics. As a Hindu operating in Northern Sri Lanka where Lord Muruga is the presiding deity – Mr Wigneswaran has the duty to renounce his judicial status – the way Palani Murugan did to establish His own empire from zero base. Had he done that Mr Wigneswaran would have identified with the true needs of the Northern folks who are largely clueless about the workings of the wheels of Judicial Administration and provided services on that basis – not for votes but as if their problem was his.

I believe that the pain I experience without anxiety would help me identify with the solution to cure suicide-bomber mentality. As Gandhi said “There are many causes I would die for. There is not a single cause I would kill for.”  That is the Greater Jihad. Those who use the armed pathway – be they Sinhalese, Tamils or Muslims – have to be Heirs Apparent of an accepted religious leader. Sinhalese including JVP, who used weapons outside the lawful pathway – were separating themselves from Buddha who sacrificed his personal pleasures to attain Nirvana. Tamils including LTTE who used weapons to conscript the junior-most groups separated themselves from politicians and intellectuals capable realising self-governance through the lawful pathway of education. Muslims who claim to kill in the name of holy war – while living in family environment – are cowards and only cowards would follow them.

All of us who derived value from fellow Sri Lankans – to free ourselves from servitude including to our emotions – have the duty to pool our forces to rid Sri Lanka of this suicide bomb menace. Let us cure each other first before blaming others. Once we cure each other – that bondage becomes our protecting boundary of commonness. The way English is Sri Lanka’s link language – let Christianity be our binding religion. Let us begin by mentally adopting those children who have lost parents and grandparents due to violence on Easter Sunday. Let us all be mothers and grandmothers in the church where all mothers of all these little ones were crucified. Then let us balance the books through the lawful pathway. Reject all politicians who have not shown renunciation of political status at this time when we are bleeding.

Brainwashing Voters

As per the latest news Chundikuli Girls' College in Jaffna has received a threatening letter,  under the name of an Islamic organization. On the face of it – that letter is of hearsay value. The school administration is reported to have complained to the police – which I believe is the right thing to do.

It was however disappointing to read the communication published by the  Student Union, Faculty of Arts and Culture -  Eastern University Sri Lanka which had the following footnote also:

[Student Union of  Jaffna University condemned arrests of two of its office bearers & a minor staff over recovering LTTE related material inside university premises; Union alleged that military launched a hunt down of university students in the name of tackling ISIS threats.]

The Memo which is in Tamil refers to National Head of Tamil Eelam / Thamil Eela Thesiya Thalaivar.  Former minister in Northern Provincial Government Ananthi Sasitharan also referred to Thesiya Thalaivar when speaking to the media about the recent arrest of the two students and one staff of the University of Jaffna.  Dr Hoole also  reports as follows:

[Former NP Chief Minister CV Wigneswaran jumped into the fray capitalizing on the plight of the two student union leaders. He faulted the TNA for not opposing the Emergency Regulations. He also accused the TNA of asking the army to not leave Jaffna.

In response, the TNA today, 3 May, issued a statement in Tamil explaining that even without the regulations the two students would have been charged under the other three laws. It further said that, yes, they did not oppose the Emergency Regulations but have opposed the draconian laws passed subsequently under those regulations which have been used to charge the union leaders. The statement also denies that the TNA ever asked the army not to leave Jaffna and that the only person who so asked is Ananthi Sasitharan, former TNA Provincial Minister, the widow of disappeared Sea Tiger Elilan and the LTTE’s Trinco Head, and, importantly, an ally of Mr. Wigneswaran’s who is seen by the TNA as trying to wreck it. ] Colombo Telegraph article ‘The Bombings, Refugees & Emergency Regulations: The Dangers Of A Military Dictatorship

LTTE is a proscribed group in Sri Lanka and it would be unlawful to refer to the LTTE leader as the leader any group. Mrs Vijayakala got into trouble for invoking that leadership. Whether the government takes action against Mrs Sasitharan or not – a lay interpretation would confirm that there are just grounds on which they can. The need of Tamils is to keep such admiration – formless and not give form. One who refers to LTTE leader as the National leader has no moral authority to take any official position in the lawful structure of Sri Lanka – including to find fault with them.

An independent scientific  scrutiny would confirm the current requirement to discipline the minds of those to whom the LTTE leader is National Leader of Eelam – the Tamil parallel of Islamic State. When there are no concrete boundaries – the leadership is in the mind – like formless god.

It is for these reasons that large institutions Restructure their systems from time to time.  At personal level also we need to consciously restructure ourselves so that we have more reliable mind structures through which we protect our work values.

Did we the people of Jaffna restructure ourselves in 1977 when we became the leading Opposition in National Parliament of Sri Lanka? Likewise in 2015?  They are both political milestones  reached in our path to self governance. Did we restructure at the end of the war in 2009? Since the LTTE with form died in 2009, the contribution to Tamil Eelam state by all concerned needs to be raised on the basis of our energy.  The former LTTE cadre who have promised to cooperate with the government would be empowered by such Energy.

Universities concerned for their part – need to find the Truth of why the war happened – based on their own experiences and the Truth that our ancestors discovered and left for us to be supported by. One who pays their respects to leaders of armed rebellion   - do not have the moral right to take benefits from the intellectual and political pathways. Mrs Sasitharan would be more productive by sharing the truth she knows about the minds of suicide bombers.

The Easter Sunday bomber who led the attacks in Sri Lanka is reported to have been in trouble with law enforcement authorities. This could have led to him losing hope of becoming a leader through the intellectual pathway. His attachment to his contribution to education is likely to have led him to find a group where he would have high status. I know that feeling through my own experiences after I was unlawfully charged for peaceful assembly decorated as ‘Trespass’, here in Australia. Thereafter I did not want to get back into the unreliable mainstream and this helped me become a full time ‘service’ person. The leader of the group that undertook the Easter Sunday bombings is likely to have become a clergy for that reason. Many retirees known to me join religious service groups after retirement. But the ‘attachment’ to our previous investment in other pathways can lead us to take revenge if we do not complete the old experience by absorbing the pain which then lifts our thinking to the intellectual level and/or to energy level.

The death and resurrection of Jesus – is about that absorption of pain at the physical level and rising to eternal world of energy. To my mind – that is the Kingdom of God.  The response from Mevan Pieris confirms this: ‘God Bless Mother Lanka and may the Easter day martyrs be canonized’
Mrs Sasitharan’s attitude reminds me of my sister in law who stepped into her dead-mother’s shoes eve after she became a mother. My sister in law did not step into those shoes to take responsibility but became the ‘sole’ parent with those of her siblings who seem to be successful.  Since the LTTE leader was never a politician – and was responsible for killing politicians – Mrs Sasitharan and any other person in politics and/or law has the duty to first renounce all titles from those alternate pathways before claiming leadership authority as the heirs of the LTTE. If at a later time – these students become suicide bombers those politicians would be responsible in the Court of Natural Justice.

Brainwashing happens when we lower the minds of others without proper structures and due processes and often by assuming that we are the sole-leaders.  In Tamil Nation – everyone who realised self-governance as a Tamil and/or is sharing such independence with Tamils is a leader. LTTE heirs have the duty to keep their respects formless because the LTTE is proscribed. Otherwise they need to resign from their lawful positions and stay away from those who are seeking to succeed through the lawful pathways. Universities are lawful pathways to self-governance. They have the right to research and publish the Truth they have discovered through the academic pathway – very like my own contribution.  They have no right to follow in the militant pathway while within the University that is funded by the Common Public. Some Tamil lawyers were also heard finding fault with the armed forces but there was no mention of disciplining the students. They need to renounce their lawful status as per Sri Lankan system before following in the path of truth  - as Gandhi did. But what is their truth is the million dollar question.

Brainwashing is a strong component of the development of suicide bombers by their leaders. Politicians who brainwash voters need to be consciously rejected by voters and towards this – the intellectuals need to research and publish their own discoveries.  That would then become the basis of our own structures that would lead us to self-determination and self-governance.

Is University of Jaffna  a Militant Military University?

Colombo Page reports that Sri Lanka's Ex-LTTE cadre are ready to support the security forces to ensure security in the country. In response to this, Tamil Centre for Human Rights-France has urged the Ex-LTTE cadre not to accept the offer. When I learnt about the offer I was neutral about it because I was never part of that group and hence I did not use the outcomes produced by that group as mine. I respect them as diverse equals within the Tamil community. In turn I do not expect them to treat me as their senior. If they do join the lawful structure – then we would have a direct relationship with me as their senior in law and order. Likewise within the Diaspora -  Tamil Centre for Human Rights-France  is Equal to Australian Tamil Management Service. To the group of Ex-LTTE – the Tamil Centre for Human Rights-France  is junior in Tamil combat issues. Then the Tamil Centre for Human Rights-France, has the duty to ‘submit’ and not suggest in such matters. It was on this basis that when the LTTE asked me for money – I said I would help them with project reports – in which skills I was and am senior to them. The other passengers in the van were surprised to learn that I was not compelled to pay. I informed them that I used my own truth to take the senior position in the community as a whole where education ranks higher than armed combat. Suicide bombers develop due to first complying and then giving up on themselves. Many of the Ex-LTTE would have done exactly that. Now that they have started living with respect and self-confidence they are entitled to join mainstream through Due Process. That’s when militancy becomes a project for Tamils and not program.
When Tamil Poet Kannathasan was asked as to why he did not write the words of his mentor Pattinathaar – in the song (Veeduvarai uravu…) that talks about where each relationship ends – the words that we take only our sins and virtues beyond death – Kannathasan is reported to have stated that they were the words that Pattinathaar wrote as per his experience; they should not be written as is by Kannathasan.
Each generation needs to write its own experience in history books. Likewise Sri Lanka’s history needs to be written by Sri Lankans and not by the French. Like ISIS various Diaspora groups living off the outcomes of combatants may form a Tamil Nation at that level. There are others who would form a higher Tamil Nation through the intellectual pathway. They are equal and parallel and only the essence – as sin or virtue should be merged with the other groups. When both are considered to be Equal – both are projects. When one is lower in investment hierarchy – the net energy  of that needs to be merged with the higher pathway so that combatants would be part of the educated pathway.
Democratic public service, as per my Australian experience becomes messy when projects and programs are mixed indiscriminately. Likewise in Global Tamil Public Service. Ms Usha Sriskandarajah who to my mind is part of the ex-combatant diaspora leadership referred us to the article headed ‘DEFEND JAFFNA UNIVERSITY ; UNDER ATTACK TODAY; TAMILS PLEASE SHARE!’ by Shivani Jeyarajah. The contents include :

[Security forces carried major search operation at the University of Jaffna 'on the invitation of the University authorities' from 6.30 am onwards this morning. President & Secretary of Students Union arrested for keeping a framed photo of the LTTE leader in their union office
The search operations were carried out with the stated objective of ensuring that the university premises was safe for recommencement of academic activities in the aftermath of the #EasterSundayAttacksLK.
Forces took photos of the Maaveerar memorial, Mukluvaaykkal memorial and the Pongu Tamil declaration monument. Army personnel were heard commenting that the said structures were illegal.
Though these search operations are styled as being on the invitation of the respective universities we have been made to understand that without the security clearance the universities will not be allowed to reopen.]
The above is a typical example of trying to brainwash through Facebook. The writer in turn confirms having been brainwashed by a senior in that frivolous ground that propagates information without having had the experience. As per my knowledge Ms Usha Sriskandarajah was never a combatant nor held management  position in Public Service and/or in a University. In essence the above is critical of the above operations by the Sri Lankan armed forces. But whenever I was searched during war times – I spoke to the officer -  mind to mind and said ‘do your duty please’. I was cleared most of the time. On the few occasions  I was put through more and more – senior officers cleared me. I believe that was because of my respect for  the common Sri Lankan path through which I earned my status in Status. Where the goal is not common, we would go our own ways – at the end of that pathway. Then we take only the net value as Truth to support us during the rest of our travel.

Arresting students for keeping LTTE leadership’s photo was wrong at a time when ex-LTTE cadre are being invited to join in the Prevention of Terrorism project. But at the same time – the question that the Jaffna Public need to know the answer to  is –‘ whether University of Jaffna is a militant military university?’

Have Buddhists  lost faith in Governments – past and current?

Catholic [Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith says churches and Catholic schools will be closed throughout Sri Lanka 'until further notice'.]

The question that comes to one’s mind is ‘what did the then head of Catholic community do when Navaly Church in Northern Province was bombed in 1995? One who feels ownership in the community would feel the pain of even the most junior member as hers/his.  The then government expressed ‘sorrow at the loss of lives’  – as if  the victims were remote relatives in law.
The loss of trust leading to self-sufficiency by the junior  is now being manifested. Nature/Truth had its own way of showing support:

The Associated Press report headed ‘Rural Catholic church defies Sri Lanka threats, holds Mass’ communicates the following message:

[The St Joseph’s church devotees demonstrated courage when they Catholics participate in Holy Mass at St. Joseph's church in Thannamunai, Sri Lanka, Tuesday, April 30, 2019. This small village in eastern Sri Lanka has held likely the first Mass since Catholic leaders closed all their churches for fear of more attacks after the Easter suicide bombings that killed over 250 people. When we experience deep pain and turn to our truth / true belief – we are supported by inner courage which to my mind is a form of Energy that we accumulate through our belief. The Thannamunai (in Batticaloa) devotees must have endured much without taking revenge – to have accumulated this courage or they must be isolated from Colombo. To my mind that is how Natural Justice balances the books.
In contrast – Buddhists seem to fear even though their temples were not attacked on Easter Sunday: Agence France-Presse reports under the heading: ‘Suicide bombers fuel fears among Sri Lanka's majority Buddhists’:
[…..Nilman Ekanayake, a 29-year-old Sri Lankan on holiday from his job as a manufacturing manager in Britain, said Wednesday he has never seen Gangaramaya so empty.
"There is a lot of speculation at the moment," he told AFP. "They have targeted a church, a place of worship. A Buddhist temple is another place of worship. It’s an unknown for the public."
"Going out in the streets in Colombo at around eight o’clock, it’s like three or four in the morning. There’s nobody out there and I’ve never experienced that in my lifetime."
Pallegama Rathanasara, a monk at the temple, also highlighted the uncertainty.
"The intelligence services say the next attack will be on a Buddhist temple," he claimed.]
If Buddhist majority believe in each other – they would not fear attacks by minorities. But if the threat from Tamil militants was overstated way above the identical wrongs of their sons and daughters in military – then the ‘gap’ becomes abusive and destabilises their own belief base. Since Buddhists as majority elect government, the government’s inability to manage becomes the base of their loss of self-confidence. This is the other side of the democratic coin. The buck stops with the voter whose group  has majority power. This is distinctly Buddhists in Sri Lanka – and hence the fear despite being majority.

There are strong reports that despite the ‘Buddhism Foremost’ article in the Constitution, Buddhist governments colluded with Pakistan against Lord Buddha’s motherland.
Rakesh Krishnan – a New Zealand based defence and foreign affairs analyst presents the following picture through Business Today:

[…During the 1971 Bangladesh crisis, after India withdrew landing and overflight rights to Pakistan, Sri Lanka granted refuelling facilities to Pakistan International Airlines. In March-April 1971, as the Pakistan Army launched Operation Searchlight to crush the Bengali independence movement in East Pakistan, Pakistani civilian and military aircraft made 174 landings at the Katunayake international airport. While Sri Lanka denied these aircraft were ferrying soldiers or weapons, in reality they were purely military flights that transported thousands of heavily armed troops who killed three million Bengali citizens over the next eight months.
Ironically, as Pakistani military flights passed through Katunayake in April 1971, a contingent of Indian Army troops was guarding the airport during a communist insurgency that took 10,000 lives across Sri Lanka. Indian Navy warships were also deployed off Colombo to defend the port.
The bonhomie continued after the war. In December 1976, the Colombo Municipal Council named a public ground in the national capital as Jinnah Maidan.

War in the north
It was during the civil war involving the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) that the Pakistani military and its shadowy spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was able to develop close links with Sri Lanka's military. In May 2008, Lt. Gen Sarath Fonseka, the chief of the Sri Lanka Army visited Islamabad with a shopping list that included 22 tanks, hundreds of thousands of grenades and other weapons and ammunition. The deal was worth over $100 million. According to 'The News' of Pakistan, as part of the cooperation, PAF pilots participated in air strikes against LTTE bases in August 2008. Islamabad also positioned a group of Pakistan Army officers in Colombo to guide the Sri Lankan security forces in their operations………….
Madhura Seneviratne of Australia's government owned Special Broadcasting Service reveals Pakistan's motives: "Using Sri Lanka as a staging post, the ISI's primary and apparent objective is to encircle India from all sides. It wanted to use the island nation to access south India, both in terms of finding terror networks as well as for recruitment of cadres."
N. Manoharan of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies explains why Sri Lanka has entered into a Faustian bargain with the jehadis in Pakistan: "Pakistan's activities in Sri Lanka have not been seen with suspicion by the security establishment of the island state. Sri Lanka-Pakistan relations have been good without any irritants. Sri Lanka is ever grateful to Pakistan for all the military support during the Eelam War. In addition, when Sri Lanka was hauled (up) by the international community for human rights excesses during that war, Islamabad rendered unstinted diplomatic support."
Clearly, despite the collapse of Sri Lanka's once vibrant economy due to the civil war, the Sinhala elites have learnt nothing. It was their Apartheid-like policies aimed at the Tamils that resulted in the rise of the LTTE. Now, their carte blanche to the ISI could spawn more Islamic terror groups like the National Thowheeth Jamaath which could send the country into another cycle of violence.]

Like different religions leading to One God  - we would have our own reasoning as to why something happened. Insiders would feel and naturally comfort each other by sharing quietly. Leaders have the duty to escalate their picture to include the expectations of  all their followers – towards which they would need to intellectually fill the gap between their true level of faith and the deeper faith needed to escalate the issue to the highest level. Right now, the picture that is evolving from Buddhist worshippers is lack of faith in themselves as Buddhists following Buddhist tenets – as required by article 9 of the Sri Lankan Constitution. Yet there is no move by politicians to express their feelings on the basis of article 9. Given that Lord Buddha was born in India,  Buddhist monks have the duty to find out whether the Buddhist politicians blessed by them are shifting their loyalty to Pakistan -  a Muslim country by damaging their relationship with India. Otherwise Buddhist monks have to declare that they are juniors of the politicians.

A true relationship is one that is based on love and/or common belief. Every Buddhist who asked Tamils to go back to India – the Common Motherland of Tamils and Buddhists - knowing fully well that Tamils have been more seriously hurt and damaged  by the war than Sinhalese – contributed to this weakened relationship with minorities. Pauline Hanson did that here and now she is the loneliest politician crying for herself.

I learnt as an Accounting student that a system is only as strong as its weakest part. Accordingly I have devoted much of my resources to strengthen communities that produced militants and those who used without belief - the outcomes produced by militants for quick political outcomes. Outcomes based relationships are weak in structure and weak in natural energy that works the system. We need to find and trust someone of another religion and/or use no measure other than the one that both have knowledge of to mark each other right or wrong. Without either of these we would continue to separate from each other and now that the matter has been taken outside Sri Lankan borders – even Buddhists are no longer majority force.
