TAMILS – MAJORITY POWER WITHIN MINORITIES

Recently,  a Vaddukoddai guy said to me that the Courts of Northern Sri Lanka did not uphold my interpretation of Thesawalamai Law. True. Neither did the Australian Courts uphold my interpretation of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975. Every law helps us give common form to our own contributions to or against common values in that environment. When we interpret the law genuinely – we invoke the environment in which that was true. Truth being eternal – receives our contribution and delivers the judgment – mind to mind. The Thesawalamai architects’ mind to my mind. This then helps me interpret those bound by that culture and identify with their truth raised to the power of Thewalamai. Likewise those from who we inherited the Racial Discrimination Act.
I believe that my book ‘Naan Australian’ became part of the National Library of Australia due to the gods having delivered where the Australian Judiciary failed. I find this to be the case in every strong relationship of mine – including biological family who are part of me by divine power. Hence, when the individual does not respond as per my true contribution to the relationship – god does. Knowing this, helps us to not give up the relationship / institution itself – when the individual fails.

I believe I connected to the mind of the original developers of Thesawalamai Law – through the testamentary case of my brother-in-law  Mr Subramaniam Yoganathan. My husband wanted the intestate estate to be settled as per Thesawalamai law. His sisters had custody of the documents and failed to keep my husband and his brother informed of it. Both sisters received Dowry from the common estate of the family and were therefore not entitled to any further share. The difference between Common law and Thesawalamai law as applicable to this matter was this Dowry. My husband sought Thesawalamai ruling because his sisters were ungrateful for the help rendered by him – in terms of their children. By seeking a Thesawalamai ruling he balanced that equation in the minds of those concerned. This was confirmed in his own mind for his own guidance in relation to those individuals who failed the relationship – after ‘taking’ the benefits of dowry.

Just because a law is there does not mean that it works automatically for us. Our actual entitlement is equal in value (cumulative) to our  contribution. On time basis – the longer it takes the higher the value – as in savings with interest. On lateral basis – the more persons  benefit  the stronger the return. Where the ‘intelligence’ of current learners is regulated – so they would balance their own experiences – the more exponential the return becomes. Hence the saying that the value of the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts.

Like Thesawalamai – the Constitution of Sri Lanka also responds to the true contributor – even though the Executive and the Judiciary may not deliver. Some divine indicators are known by such believers. They are like Key Performance Indicators which help regulate our operations to suit the inner minds of the institution / project. They are not for external purposes. Others with whom we share the experience would have the opportunity to share in our belief but when they take only the ‘benefit’ in their own areas of power – they would suffer the consequences of plagiarism.
As per  Republic Next article headed ‘To resolve minority issues, a president needs majority support of majority – SLPP’:

[Addressing the media today, SLPP spokesmen said the party’s presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa, supposedly enjoying widespread support in the Sinhalese community and being able to “speak to their hearts”,  will be able to resolve various issues faced by minority communities.]
This confirms lack of cognizance of  Tamils – majority within minorities – winning the Equal Opposition leadership in National Parliament – in 1977 and in 2015. Once we achieve that position – the highest level devolution of power is confirmed to have happened.  One who respects the People would not ‘forget’ this. One who forgets is not blessed by Sri Lanka’s ancestors.

The same medium has interestingly  published the article headed ‘Is Kurunegala losing its multicultural heritage?’. The article confirms as follows:

[The Kurunegala district is one place in Sri Lanka where the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa can expect a good chunk of votes and a clear majority.
After all, his elder brother, Opposition Leader Mahinda is the local Member of Parliament.
There is also another demographic factor that applies to this region.
Women’s activist Sumika Perera points out that a large percentage of the population have connections to the Security Forces and Police. Kurunegala “has a large number of war widows, disabled security forces personnel and current members of the armed forces,” Perera told RepublicNext in an interview.]

So the question arises as to why Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa shifted from Hambantota to Kurunegala? Subconscious or Conscious – did that move result in Mr Rajapaksa losing the opportunity to become Prime Minister in the 2015 Parliamentary elections?

The clue / indicator - is in the above mentioned article:
[Take the phenomenon of the worship of the local deity Galebandara, the son of King Buvenekabahu the First who reigned in the latter part of the 13th century from Kurunegala and his Muslim Queen Fatima.
Galebandara is worshipped at two places, a regular Kovil which attracts people of all faiths as well as at a Muslim shrine, where again people of faiths come for blessings.]

The following from Wikipedia gives one deeper insight into Kurunegala ancestry:

[Kurunegala had a citadel in the 13th century. Its ascendancy as an ancient capital of Sri Lanka began with a series of events that took place during the late 12th century at Yapahuwa. The sacred tooth relic which was in the Yapahuwa Kingdom was taken by an Aryacakravarti from the Jaffna Kingdom to the Pandyan country during the rule of Buwaneka Bahu I from 1272 to 1284. The relic was brought back by King Parakrama Bahu III who ruled from Kurunegala between 1287 and 1293. Over the next half a century Kurunegala was the capital and the governing centre for three other kings of Sri Lanka.]

I believe and often express that when someone  leaves their mortal coil the positive Energy in them would merge with those who contributed to that positive  – including through  respectable funerals / farewells and the negatives in them would merge with those who are indebted to them. Those true Energies are preserved in their homelands.

If therefore Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa was disrespectful of non-Buddhist cultures and their belief that they had the Natural Right to autonomy was he blessed or cursed by the royalty of Kurunegala? We know that Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa was successful in Hambantota where he established ‘Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport’ amongst other structures in his name.

The following is a Wikipedia presentation of Hambantota ancestry:

[After a personal dispute with his brother, King Devanampiyatissa of Anuradhapura, King Mahanaga established the Kingdom of Ruhuna in the south of the island. This region played a vital role in building the nation as well as nurturing the Sri Lankan Buddhist culture. Close to Hambantota, the large temple of Tissamaharama was built to house a sacred tooth relic.]

Any genuine Political leader of Hambantota would therefore be blessed by Buddhist Royal ancestors of that area. This power would have been lost when Mr Rajapaksa migrated  to Multicultural Kurunegala – probably because he wanted his son to be the royalty  there.

Article 16 of the Sri Lankan Constitution recognizes these ‘unwritten’ laws as follows:
[16. (1) All existing written law and unwritten law shall be valid and operative notwithstanding any inconsistency with the preceding provisions of this Chapter.

(2) The subjection of any person on the order of a competent court to any form of punishment recognized by any existing written law shall not be a contravention of the provisions of this Chapter.]

Kurunegala’s ancestry includes Pandiya  mind – albeit as Opposition to Sinhalese. The Eternal Queen of Pandiya Naadu/Land is Mother Meenatchi of Madurai. Since  Buddha was Indian taking the tooth from Sri Lanka to India was like taking it back ‘home’. One has to believe completely in Buddha to own that and therefore to possess it. That is the basis of law of Prescription applicable in Sri Lanka. Given that Lord Buddha renounced Royalty to become Buddha – no ruler in Sri Lanka has that prescriptive right to own Buddha’s sacred relics. That is the unwritten law of Truth applicable to any Buddhist nation.  Hindus and  Muslims who seek Royalty in Sri Lanka would be blessed by the ancestors of Kurunegala – to become Equal Opposition to Buddhist followers in power. Sivajilingam and Hizbulla in the current Presidential elections would thus dilute the power of the Rajapaksas of Kurunegala.

TAMIL MP IN COMMITTEE HAS LOST THE POWER OF DIVERSITY?

If it is true that Sri Lanka suffers from ethnic divide, the leaders of minority communities need to demonstrate that through Opposition at a level equal to the majority. The Parliamentary Special Committee inquiring into Easter Bombings included Tamil Christian MP Mr M A Sumanthiran and Tamil speaking Muslim Minister Mr  Rauff Hakeem.
Neither seems to have disagreed with the Committee’s authority to investigate Defence Ministry for which the President is responsible. The President being the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces does carry immunity from prosecution. Consciously or otherwise – the President did raise this issue earlier in the year – as reported by Straight Times of Singapore on 09 June 2019:

[Sri Lanka's Parliament warned President Maithripala Sirisena not to scuttle a controversial investigation into security lapses before the Easter suicide bombings, the Speaker's office said on Sunday (June 9).
The warning came after President Sirisena said he would not cooperate with the parliamentary probe and would not allow defence or police officials to testify before the select committee.
The President called an emergency Cabinet meeting last Friday night to oppose the legislature's investigation into the April 21 attacks that killed 258 people, including 45 foreigners, and wounded nearly 500.
"Any public servant summoned by the PSC (select committee) is obliged to give evidence," Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said in a hard-hitting two-page response to Mr Sirisena.
"Officials are fully aware of the serious consequences if they fail to respond."
Officials at the Speaker's office said Mr Jayasuriya made it clear to Mr Sirisena that he will not call off the select committee and it will continue its public hearings.
Evidence before the parliamentary select committee, which began its publicly televised sittings late last month, has placed the President in a poor light, suggesting that he failed to act on advance warning of the attacks.] - Sri Lanka MPs clash with President over Easter attacks inquiry

The President has been the Minister for Defence and the President is protected by immunity from prosecution.  Given that the President represents the Sri Lankan god who exists within every Sri Lankan by belief  - as their soul – questioning the President and his men in Defence is in breach of the fundamental values governing such immunity.

The said committee is reported to have published as follows:

[Bungling by the country’s intelligence agencies and failings by the country’s top political leaders resulted in their inability to prevent or mitigate the Easter Sunday terror attacks, which left hundreds dead and scores injured, the Parliament Select Committee (PSC) which probed the attacks said in its final report yesterday.] Financial Times article ‘Intelligence failures, political failings blamed for terror attacks’

If the President identified with weaknesses – he had the authority to discipline the officers concerned  confidentially. But a President who enjoys immunity from administrative punishment  has no authority to terminate the services of another within his ministry. To so terminate would be to terminate himself. THAT is what soul power is. Jesus, Buddha or Mohamed would have terminated  themselves with officers – as if they were one unit.
Two Absolutes can exist side by side (as in coexistence)  but they cannot go into each other’s areas. One does not have executive power in the other’s area.

Both Sumanthiran and Hakeem ought to have identified with this fundamental flaw in the structure of the Government. They both failed their respective communities – strongly indicating collusion with Parliamentarians in power.

SRI LANKAN DEFENCE MINISTRY – UNTOUCHABLE?

The President is the Defence Minister in Sri Lanka.  The President was the Minister of Defence in April also. If the President is immune from prosecution – then so are the officers in Defence Ministry.
As per the Republic Next report headed ‘State Intelligence Service should be blamed for Easter massacre – Parliamentary Committee’ :

[The Director of the State Intelligence Service, Nilantha Jayawardena, “bears the greatest responsibility” in the failure to prevent or mitigate the effects of the Easter Sunday attacks on Churches and Hotels, a Parliamentary investigation has found.]
But if action against Nilantha Jayawardena has been barred by the Constitution – was not the Committee wasting People’s resources – including ‘intelligence’ by inquiring into an activity in which Defence Ministry had the responsibility but not Accountability?

Intelligence is the nuclear power of any plan. If such intelligence is not to be shared – then like the secret power / soul in the  shrine – it has the protection to be kept away from the Public eye.  This is confirmed by ‘ Immunity from prosecution’  to the leader – including Judiciary.

If the President could not be sued he could not be disciplined by others either. Likewise, any ministry the President is responsible for. Article 3 of the Constitution of Sri Lanka states as follows:

[In the Republic of Sri Lanka sovereignty is in the People and is inalienable. Sovereignty includes the powers of government, fundamental rights and the franchise.]

Since it is acknowledged that the Sovereignty of Sri Lanka is in the People – anyone elected by those People cannot have greater powers than the People. One needs the power of the law to delegate to juniors. When  another person is recognized to be having lesser power to govern the whole – than the leader – power is delegated – so that that the total would be equal to the power of the whole – as represented by the top person – before delegation.

If that power to delegate is not exercised – then, the top person is responsible. Where the top person is elected by the People – the Sovereignty of the People is that power. Hence the entitlement to immunity from prosecution by those who are officially juniors in a structure. Discretionary powers are facilitated to the ‘top decision maker’ for this reason. Parliamentarians acting as per their Parliamentary positions have immunity from fault-finding by others due to such discretionary powers – which are ‘governing powers’. If the Parliament questions the President – then it is like the Moon showing off its light to the Sun . That is what the above Committee has done.

When Easter Sunday bombings happened – the President was Defence Minister. Hence our inquiry needs to be limited to making connections between cause and effect of the President’s power which represents the People’s total investment in Sovereignty. There is no evidence of direct involvement by non-Sri Lankans in the Easter Bombings. Indian ‘intelligence’ was rejected and therein lies the key to preventing future disasters.

Truth is omnipresent. Truth is the root cause of any manifestation, problem or opportunity. Rights and wrongs are allocated until we complete that cycle of experience. Thereafter – one needs to keep in mind the Lesson – between cause and effect – as if both belonged to the same person/nation.

The Defence Ministry under the President’s leadership would have rejected ‘Indian intelligence’ not only due to the war against Tamils who are seen as being closely connected to India than the Sinhalese. Thereafter the President himself found fault with RAW - Research and Analysis Wing. Hence ‘Appe Aanduwa’ which as per my understanding means ‘Our Government’ – meaning ‘Sinhalese Government’ separated itself from such ‘intelligence’.

Truth being what it is – would manifest the other side – of itself – by itself. That was how the true investment in Sri Lanka by Tamils resulted in Tamil Political group becoming the Equal Opposition in National Parliament at times (1977 & 2015) when Tamils as a community expressed their Opposition to being governed by ‘Sinhala only’ Parliamentarians. That was also a natural defeat of those Tamils who sought Separate country.

Even one Tamil with true self governance getting involved in Sri Lankan politics and governance – was enough to manifest the truth needed by that person. That is the Power of One. There were many such Tamils who Opposed the 2018 actions of the President. I actually cried – not because of any interest in any particular individual – but due to my own investment in Sri Lankan governance – through the lawful path being seriously damaged. But it was resurrected including through the participation of the Tamil Political group who effectively represented the Tamil Community of Sri Lanka as a diverse and independent community.

Those who opposed such Sri Lankans – lost governance power outside their own Sinhala-Buddhist community. In other words – Jesus who is another name for Truth resurrected Himself on 21 April 2019 – to complete the picture of True Sri Lanka. The pain felt by Christians would help them become leaders  of  Self-Governing Christians. Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith is demonstrating such leadership more and more – after sharing pain with those blessed by Jesus.

If the architects of the 19th amendment to the Constitution had respected the People’s power – they would have not set aside the pain and suffering of minorities as second-class citizens outside their own communities. That would have been addressed first by eliminating the Buddhism Foremost article in the Constitution one way or the other. One who is fearful of repealing it – confirms desire as the cause. When desire is cause – the quality of the constitution is demoted to hearsay-emotional level. One needs logic to write an intellectually balanced constitution. Belief renders perfect logic. If one does not believe,  one needs to learn respectfully from gurus who are self-governing.

The two leading Presidential candidates are ‘dishing out’ promises that they would do this and that. Their blind followers are also propagating those lies – starting with the Viyathmaga promises by Mr Rajapaksa. According to Viyathmaga’s own declaration their vision is :

[To mobilize the nascent potential of the professionals, academics and entrepreneurs to effectively influence the moral and material development of Sri Lanka in par with the other developed countries where all citizens live in an environment of equity and fair play, with equal opportunities in the advancement of these ideals.]

How can a leader with demonstrated Defence training and demonstrated victories - achieve the above – without Executive powers in those disciplines??????? Without Executive powers in Defence – how can such a person deliver Security to Sri Lanka, leave alone claim victory in war?  No Executive Power – NO victory nor defeat.

IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION TO ALL DEFENCE OFFICERS?

Each individual has her/his own constitution .  Most of us function according to that when we are in a ‘free’ environment. This may result in positive or negative manifestations in a particular environment. Whether a manifestation is positive or negative is determined by the constitution of the environment in which it is manifested. The Sri Lankan Nation – when it is in natural / true mode is such an environment.

The constitution of an individual at birth is reflected by the horoscope in some cultures – including Sri Lankan Hindu culture. As per my discovery – if we operate as per our conscience – we would be protected from our negatives in past births which are balanced to suit the environment in which we are born in our current life. Like genes – they would be dormant. But if we fail to be balanced as per our truth or the truth of our current environment – we risk invoking the genes.  Once so invoked – they act with exponential power – be it positive or negative.  Then they lead us.
The following is from the Sunday Morning article headed ‘Executive president vs. executive PM : The 19A conundrum’:
[Constitutional law expert MP Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne told The Sunday Morning that the new president will not be able to hold any ministries, which means the ministries the current President is holding, including the Ministries of Defence and Mahaweli Development and Environment, would also need to be assigned to other members of the Cabinet.]

But article 30 (1) clearly states that President is the Commander-in-Chief  of the Armed Forces:
[30. (1) There shall be a President of the Republic of Sri Lanka, who is the Head of the State, the Head of the Executive and of the Government, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.]

Given that Security / Defence is the key issue in current  Sri Lanka it is important to clarify whether the President would have Ministerial Powers in terms Defence. If yes, then for Defence, the President would be the Executive Authority. Given that Mr Sajith Premadasa is indicating Devolution of Power to General Fonseka – the question arises as to whether or not the President would have the authority to devolve. If the above statement was indeed made by Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne – then the President would not have any Executive power to devolve. The overall decisions in relation to Defence would be made on the basis of Governing Power – i.e. the power of Belief. Governing powers are pure discretionary powers and cannot be questioned through executive powers. They therefore cannot be devolved. Only relative powers can be devolved.

Currently – the President is listed as the Minister for Defence.  If this is correct – then there is no executive power to make decisions and execute them. That was the case in April this year when the Easter Bombing happened. The President is solely responsible due to the above.

Out of the two leading candidates in the upcoming Presidential elections – Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has demonstrated experience in the use of  Devolved Executive Powers – which were valid back then. But if the above interpretation is valid,  the President would have only Governing Powers in terms of Defence. This is the case in Australia where the Governor General is the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. We have the Minister with executive powers to carry out the Administrative role. That Minister, like any other Minister is part of the Parliament’s Executive power.  Are these leading Presidential candidates not misleading themselves and the voters by making promises on the basis that they would have Executive Powers ? If there would not be a minister for Defence – other than the President – then there is no question of trying any member of the armed forces in a court of law. The President’s immunity covers them also. Is this what Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa meant by stating that he would release the soldiers/war heroes? If yes, then not even one could be tried in a court of law – war hero or war-criminal.

WHEN DID JOHN F KENNEDY BECOME ‘IT’?
On 19 October , I wrote under the heading ‘WHO OWNS THE WAR?’ . Today – the response came out of the woodwork – through Island Editor’s article headed -  ‘Who won the war?’

The Island Editor is not likely to have read my article. But Truth did. Hence the editor’s truth surfaced.

The opening statement goes as follows:
[It is said that victory has a thousand fathers and defeat is an orphan. ]

Given that my mind says John F Kennedy said it – I ask the question  - When did John F Kennedy become ‘It’ ? Only ‘it’ would produce ‘it’.  The above becomes hearsay due to being separated from the owner.

The next expression  that attracted my attention was :
[Who really won the war? Was it Fonseka or the Rajapaksas or Karannagoda or the war-time Air Force Commander Roshan Goonathilake? ]

LTTE East  weakened LTTE North. Without Karuna the mind of LTTE North would have been out of approachable range by all of the above and more . Rajapaksas cheated . Only insiders know the mind of other insiders. To the extent LTTE was a foreign force to the Sri Lankan Government – it did not have the insight into LTTE psyche. But once they had Karuna’s sight – they realized that the LTTE was like themselves. That is how Divide and Rule system works.

But then to forget Karuna’s role and claim victory meant that they could not maintain that higher status over militants. Hence the Easter Bombings which brought shame to Sri Lankan ‘Intelligence’. Truth alone would sustain long term - the intelligence that eliminated the other side.

The UNP for its part seems to be forgetting the contribution by Tamils – not just political leaders but all Tamils who contributed through their Belief in Lawful governance. That is the positive version  of the submission by Karuna who assimilated. Ours was integration and would be healthy for the mind of any government which carries us  as part of its consciousness. Politicians need to identify with that to accept a law based workable solution to the ethnic problem.

‘Tamil only’ Tamils  need to withdraw to their own areas and likewise ‘Sinhala only’ Sinhalese. It’s withdrawal that we fought for and are continuing to fight for. One who desires ‘wins’  will interpret it as ‘war’. This will perpetuate the war-mode in Sri Lanka and like John F Kennedy the Tamil mind also would become ‘It’ to the Sinhalese.

The Island editor concludes as follows:

[Fonseka should be asked whether he, as the Defence Minister of a future government, led by a group of opponents of war advocating appeasement, would be able to fight a war in case of terrorism re-emerging. The Rajapaksas need to be asked whether they would be equal to the task of countering terrorism again without military commanders of Fonseka’s calibre.]

This Tamil mind responds  as follows:

The Island Editor needs to ask himself whether he is Sri Lankan or Sinhalese only. When the common law fails – Truth alone can save us from killing each other to possess inanimate land – as if it has no Energy to protect Itself through the Truth manifested by all those to whom Sri Lanka was / is ‘Home’ as per their own conscience.

In a family, there are no wins and losses. Just disciplinary actions to become one minded – so our energies work for each other continuously and subconsciously. A nation is an extended  version of that family.

PRESS FREEDOM & EASTER BOMBINGS

The day the Australian Press blacked out its front page was also the 6 monthly anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Easter Bombings. As I watched Ms Haneke Manoharan on SBS news last evening, I automatically made my own connections between the two (press freedom and Easter Bombings)– as per my experiences in Sri Lanka. For Example:

1.     Haneke : says she often feels guilt that she does not carry any physical scars from the bombings unlike so many others who were at the churches and hotels which were targeted that day.

Gaja: I was with the war victims in 2009 and could easily have been physically attacked – including when I was a lone passenger in a bus due to falling asleep on the way to the camps. The driver was more regulated than the conductor who kept giving me ‘looks’ . I asked the driver to drop me off  - so I could catch the bus back to Vavuniya – given that we had come well past the last camp. I had asked the conductor to inform me when we were close to Ramanathan camp where I had heard that an Australian Tamil known to me was being held. No I did not feel guilty that I had escaped custody – while the other Australian was in custody. I believe I did not because I operated within the law and after that I followed the Truth that the law took me to. The following day – a government  engineer who was going to the camps in relation to digging tube wells – said I could come with him and said also  that he would drop me off there and pick me up on his return. The officers in the camp did look for the two persons – one Australian and the other New Zealander – and said they were not there. I had with me some books for Year 12  students – given to me by a WHO officer for distribution and the officers did distribute the books. To me the experience was not coincidence. The fact that I was taken there in government vehicle confirmed that I had been loyal to the path of law – even though I did not have any official portfolio. In effect – the system of Truth was showing through the path of Dharma that I had every right to be there as if I were a government facilitator.

2.     Haneke and her friend, Sam Nottle, were in the Colombo on an eight-day Easter trip… On a recent trip to Sri Lanka, Haneke visited victims of the Easter Sunday attacks, some who were still recovering in hospital.
“There are people in hospital unable to go home or still having operations,” she says.
“I saw a man who had shrapnel extracted in the last week. People have needed multiple surgeries.”

Gaja – I have been going to Sri Lanka regularly since 2003 as per my insight into the needs of the folks there. We did go on holidays as a family in the nineties. Then too we spent time with our relatives and friends in Colombo for they suffered pain and loss in 1983 and 1977. We became stronger relatives through that pain-sharing . If Sri Lanka was hurting due to ethnic problem then as Sri Lankans we also hurt.

I did not ‘see’ the pain or loss but felt it due to my own experience as a Sri Lankan. That is the root-connection.

3.     Soon after returning to Sydney, Haneke decided to organise a fundraising campaign to help the victims of the bombings.
With a team of just under 20 volunteers, she organised a series of dinners, a self-published cookbook and an online silent auction.
“Starting DineForLanka was really about giving people an opportunity to contribute from all over the world,” she says.

Gaja – writes practically every day sharing her feelings through her own experience as if she were Sri Lanka. Due to her association with Kingsbury hotel, Gaja planned to stay there in June this year. But Truth led Gaja to stay at Galadari hotel which to her was Muslim owned and thus shared her protective Energy with Muslim hoteliers. Gaja shopped specifically at Muslim shops and listened to them lamenting about the discrimination pain that targeted them. Gaja also identified with the Muslims who were put through stronger checks  on the way to Jaffna -  by the Armed Forces as Tamils were until the Easter Bombing.

Yesterday – both Sri Lankan press as well as Australian SBS – shared their space with Haneke – confirming that they do not connect to experiences at the root level but packaged to suit their taste. If the Press had weaker laws than the citizens – then they would have more ‘business’ by criticizing the government more freely. They then do not belong to the group of citizens who became victims of the government / custodians of power but would be more like that very government and would end up creating their own victims.

Truth is the authority of ‘freedom’ to express. The most deserving of the protection of  law is the citizen with least status. When the press renounces its extra status – truth will lead and guide the person. This may result in punishment through law. But one who seeks true freedom would accept that as a necessary cost to being with the needy.

Truth often leads the seeker to ‘commonness’ through time and place. The good are guided by angels and the bad are guided by demons/ghosts. The Australian press yesterday was haunted by Sri Lankan press which has done very little to bring its own angels  who put their lives at risk to publish the truth they had experienced. If they had joined forces with Australian Press or v.v. – they would have earned the moral right to Freedom of Expression. All those who are in the media for an income / profit (Money plus Status) – are bound by the law applicable to the citizen with least money income and status.

If the Sri Lankan media had genuinely been connected to the victims of Government – in the war against LTTE – they would have connected naturally to the Indian Journalists who were connected to and been alerted by Indian Intelligence – including that of Mr Subramanian Swamy – a strong investor in Indian Politics and LTTE Opposition and one who used the legal path to include himself and have his say in important issues.

Those who ‘find fault’ with another to elevate themselves need to be regulated by the law. Only those who travel through the path of law and discover the truth in that form – become facilitators within law-abiding groups and therefore are immune from prosecution. I was one of them and yet neither  the Australian media nor Sri Lankan media used their publishing space to share in my pain. Hence to my mind – they are not entitled to the protection of law any more than I was.

MEDIA FREEDOM & PRIVACY OF GOVERNMENT/JUDICIARY

Last night I said during a discussion with my husband – that I had written to the reporter who exposed the plagiarism scandal at the University of New Castle – that he had plagiarized my work. My husband said ‘if he did not read your work how can it be plagiarism?’

A deep researcher  would appreciate that plagiarism, like racism and could be subconscious. They are influenced by our genes. In the above instance, since I had been publishing my work by writing to the Universities concerned, the Government and the Media – about my discoveries at the University of NSW – and continued to take legal action despite being marked wrong – it was the duty of the official media to have taken note. Those in official media have the ‘freedom’ of expression because they are required to publish the truth.

As per the laws of Nature – Truth connects to truth. Hence even if we do not know the reader of our reports – to the extent our report is true – and it covers a certain issue – plagiarism in this instance – the Energy of our report would be received by a true seeker. As I explained to my husband, to my mind, it is like the ‘posting rule’ in law of contract –whereby an acceptance is taken to have happened when it is posted / mailed – even if it has not reached the other side. It is a belief based communication. Once we believe – the system of truth /dharma is responsible to carry it and manifest it at the appropriate level. Mine eventually happened through my book Naan Australian going to the National Library of Australia without any particular intervention on my part. That is equivalent of all true Australians reading my work.

The other example I highlighted to my husband who knows the ‘internal steps’ is my book ‘Jaffna is my Muthusum/ heritage and not dowry’. Through those experiences – I merged my global values with Jaffna and hence now that the Northern airport is being named Jaffna International Airport – I believe that the system of Dharma has done Its duty to this contributor. I recognized the blessings of  Jaffna – and therefore  Nallur Murugan – when I received the call from the publishers while I was praying at Nallur Murugan temple. Those are the indicators that believers identify with. Its external expression is the majority vote. One who believes has 100% approval of all genuine voters.
Laws bring our minds under one order of thought structure. Stated the other way around, those who are of similar thought structure – become the law. Hence subjective power.

This morning’s news from SBS confirmed the above power of the mind:

[Why Australia's media front pages are blacked out today
Australia's major media organisations have come together to fight for increased press freedom and whistleblower protection.

Australia's major media organisations blacked out their newspaper front pages and websites on Monday in a coordinated push for legislative change to protect press freedom and force the government to increase transparency.
According to the organisations - which include SBS, the ABC, Nine, News Corp Australia and The Guardian - a slew of laws introduced over the past 20 years have hindered the media's capacity to act as the fourth estate and hold the government and other powerful figures to account. ]

To my mind, it was my intuition that picked up the above last night itself. Every member has this intuitive power through investment above the level of their derived benefits. They are feelers like mothers. The requirement is to continue to stay within that group and continuing to practice one’s truth.

This applies in government as well. Yesterday’s Sunday Observer editorial ‘Definition of a ‘war hero’ for example includes the following:

[In most peoples’ minds, a war hero is an individual who has performed an act of heroism or valour in a theatre of conflict. An individual who wears the uniform of the armed forces or Police does not automatically qualify to become a ‘war hero’, particularly if they have committed an offence that is illegal or criminal in nature. On the contrary, they should never be hailed as ‘war heroes’.]

The question then arises as to whether the Sunday Observer would list at least one LTTE member as a war hero? Did they seek and find or did not find such a parallel in LTTE who are accused as Terrorists by the Sinhalese community of which Mr Rajapaksa is a permanent member.

Like the Australian press - the LTTE also fought for ‘freedom’ to express their skills. Without them – the Rajapaksa Government would have had very little to gloat about. When they are ‘forgotten’ except for that purpose of opposition – it leads to mental imbalance – as was demonstrated by Mr Sirisena last year and is being strongly indicated by  Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa in relation to war activities.  Benefits from one system and costs in another system lead to imbalance of the mind.
At reader/voter level – those of us who complete the other side as per our own truth – become the law – even if it is to judge ourselves by ourselves. Truth is the basis of reliable law. If Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa truly believes that  the imprisoned soldiers were ‘heroes’ – then he would facilitate LTTE supporters also to celebrate their war-heroes – not as per the law but as per the truth. That way  there would be a true opposing force to defend and protect the privacy of our culture. Otherwise, under the claim of ‘Unitary State’ which is would be interpreted as Sinhalese leadership – minority cultures would be invaded by the government of majority – by the majority for the majority. Minorities who intellectually oppose this – would promote themselves to become global. That is how Dharma balances our system.

In terms of the Australian Media – its authority  to publish the truth is limited to its own experience of truth. When whistle-blowers are punished by the government – unlawfully – it would be the media’s business to expose that – within the regulated pathway of journalism. If it hurts and damages the government’s investment in its own area – as per its own culture – the media effectively has invaded. Freedom of the Press ought not to effectively become invasion of Government’s privacy.
Likewise in Sri Lanka – the freedom of politicians should not become invasion of the Judiciary.
