DUALITY OF CANADIAN GOVERNMENT
Belief based Opposition is a fundamental aspect of
Democracy. Yesterday, the Canadian Prime
Minister published the following declaration:
[Today, on the 12th anniversary of the
end of armed conflict in Sri Lanka, we remember all those who were killed, or
injured, and all who were impacted by the many years of conflict, including
during the last phase of the war in Mullivaikal. We also offer our deepest
sympathies to the survivors and their families, and to everyone living with the
pain and trauma caused by this conflict.]
Gary
Anandasangaree of the same party stated his alleged belief as follows:
[As we
near the 12th Anniversary of the #Mullivaikkal #Genocide, I rose in the house to pay tribute
to our fallen Tamil brothers and sisters. The march towards justice is long and
painful, but we will continue until justice is served.]
The Prime
Minister effectively Opposed Gary Anandasangaree on the same issue in the same
chamber. Both are of the one Political Party but obviously with different
beliefs. Dr. Wickramabahu Karunaratne responded as follows to my article ET
TU OBAMA!:
[China’s much-touted “One Belt, One Road” initiative to
develop trade infrastructure fostered autocratic mismanagement in other
countries. In keeping with Beijing’s long standing practice, Belt and Road
loans come with no visible conditions, making Beijing a preferred lender for
autocrats. These unscrutinized infusions of cash made it easier for corrupt
officials to pad their bank accounts while saddling their people with massive
debt in the service of infrastructure projects that in several cases benefit
China more than the people of the indebted nation…..
We have to understand the CHINA belt around MAHINDA and decay
of our political structure GOING ON.]
Ceylon Today however
has published as follows under the heading ‘12 Years On, Since Vanquishing LTTE’:
[Today marks the 12th anniversary of
vanquishing the LTTE on 19 May 2009. The long drawn-out war against the Tamil
terrorists was won solely owing to the unyielding courage of then President and
present Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, the clever planning by his brother
then defence Secretary and current President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the valiant
efforts of military officers of the calibre of today’s defence Secretary,
General Kamal Gunaratne.
What
prompted then President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was also following a policy of
negotiations with the LTTE as a means of ending the war, to revert to war
against them was the massacre of Kebithigollewa where a bus packed with
villagers had been attacked. Then President Mahinda Rajapaksa rushed to the
scene of the tragedy and witnessed for himself the carnage caused and was
determined to put an end to the savage war and from that moment on, there was
no turning back.]
Taking that
to be true, did that decision not lead to proportionately more such damage by the Sinhalese on Tamil
civilians – 3 years after the Kebithigollewa attack? As a Tamil Diaspora Leader
pointed out – the scale was much larger. That is the problem with emotion based
policy. LTTE ‘took’ arms from the then President, Mr Premadasa and then killed
him after evicting the Indian Peace-Keeping Force. Likewise, LTTE ‘took’ money
from the then Presidential candidate Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa in 2005 to ‘block’
Tamil votes. In the same pattern as they contributed to the killing of Mr
Premadasa, the LTTE used the money to kill Sinhalese – 6 months later at Kebithigollewa.
Using
the same pathway one can project fairly reliably as to what would happen in the
Colombo Port City Project. It is the other side of the LTTE but much larger
scale due to China’s global status.
I
believe that each time we discover truth AND someone identifies with it – we become
one minded and share power as owners. This has been confirmed by the following in
Sri Lankan Constitution as follows:
[In the Republic of Sri Lanka
sovereignty is in the People and is inalienable.]
There
are many Tamils who identify with the truth and share with others. Those who
receive it and identify with it share ownership at Energy level. Many who so
identify with my work are non-Tamils. To the extent they are non-Sri Lankans
also – the ownership is global. To my mind every such person has the power to
override exponentially, the effects of the actions of Politicians and / or
Rebels. Sometimes this requires us to ‘keep still’ and observe the full form of
their Energy.
Wise Chanakyan set the leadership in this for us. In the
meantime – if Canadian Government’s duality is acceptable to a mind – that mind
has to accept Sri Lankan duality as well. Otherwise that mind would get
disorderly.
