Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 29 January   2016

Buddha Sasana or Rome Statute?

The Hon Ranil Wicremesinghe’s voice welcomed me back to our cottage in Thunaivi, when I returned after training teenagers at Vaddukoddai where the seeds of separation between Tamils and Sinhalese were sown. My husband was listening to the news after a day with our painters from that area. The Prime Minister’s voice sounded emotional. One of the topics discussed by me during training was the separation between Emotions and Intellectual Discrimination. It started with an old guy inquiring about my training when I was assisting one of our trainees to decide between training in teaching Hindu Culture  on the one hand and teaching Special Needs Children (largely victims of war) on the other. I was urging the trainee to list the natural strengths and weaknesses and those requiring conscious learning in the future when this friendly looking guy voluntarily  included himself.

Soon a small group of men joined in – largely as listeners. The volunteer spoke well and had all the news correct. He said that the sons of Velupillais caused us much damage!  The only one I could work out was  Tamil Tiger leader Prabhakaran. I asked who the others were? He said SJV Selvanayagam – the founder of Thamil Arasu Katchi – the main Political party within Tamil National Alliance. I learnt that the initial V stood for Velupillai. After listening to his narration of what happened – I said much of it was through his ‘sitrarivu’/ surface brain – which also counts in Majority Rule within the system of Democracy. The speaker said that when these sons of Velupillais spoke – the listeners went with them like cattle and now they are suffering. There was no blame attributed to Sinhalese Government. That is the way with separation. Finally I asked him to make a statement on the basis of ‘Pahutharivu’ / Discriminative thinking through common measure. One listener said he had used Pahutharivu and hence he did not join the LTTE whereas this speaker was with LTTE as well as other Rebel groups. The speaker smiled and walked away peacefully. He had had his time to show off his hearsay knowledge and he knew that he had little active power in that circle. The heritage left behind by him for the younger Vaddukoddai groups was a little bit cleaner than it would otherwise have been.

The Colombo Gazette article ‘Ranil fumes in Parliament over media and war crimes issue’ reports as follows:

[Prime Minister Ranil Wickremessinghe today in Parliament slammed some media institutions on the manner they had reported the issue over the involvement of foreign judges in the accountability process on the war. He insisted that the government will not agree to an international war crimes tribunal on the Sri Lanka issue. “We have not signed the Rome statute,” he said.]

We committed ourselves to Buddha Sasana through article 9 of the Constitution. Had we followed that genuinely – we would not have had to face the war-crimes accusation. Buddha Sasana is a political measure included in the constitution to facilitate the Buddhist Politician. The Buddhist Institution and the Secular Institution  are the respective parallels of the Executive and the Judiciary. One uses the one way path and the other the two way balance. The Sri Lankan Judiciary failed to successfully separate itself from the Executive and hence is carrying high dose of Political infection leading to one-way thought order. Hence the low usage of two way discriminative thought order on the basis of current merit.

A local war-crimes inquiry  is likely to be  through the one-way track even if it includes Tamil members of the Judiciary. The Chief Minister of Northern Province and retired judge – the Hon Wigneswaran is an example of the high dosage of Political infection in the heritage being handed down to the next generation Tamil Leadership.

As per the above report:

[The Prime Minister however said today that foreign judges cannot get involved in the process unless they have the approval of the local Supreme Court and the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.
Wickremessinghe said that Sri Lanka will conduct the probe on the war within the framework of the Constitution.]

A local inquiry is for internal correction and as per my assessment that would be acceptable to the folks of Vaddukoddai – provided it is through Buddha Sasana and is therefore fairly easily comprehensible by  Hindus – making up  majority power in the Tamil Community. To meet the requirements of Natural Justice – Tamils must be facilitated to hear all Terrorism inquiries through Hindu pathway, Muslim pathway and Christian pathway as per the religion of the person. That would  be our first foundation-stone in Democracy within Judiciary as it is currently in Sri Lanka.

As per the above report: [The Prime Minister also accused some media institutions of attempting to instigate communal disharmony.]

If the inquiry is local and there is no specific parallel  to Article 9 of the Constitution, for minority  religions the seeds of communal disharmony are already germinating. The media may be adding its own desires to it but it is not the origin.

To the extent we seek to become global – and participate in global experiences without leaving Sri Lanka, we need global minds in this very significant event  in Sri Lanka which is a tragedy to majority Tamils. Amongst Tamils there is little ownership demonstrated in terms of the tragedy. We need to blame others to the extent we need external benefits. We would take responsibility for our part to repair our internal system. Sri Lankan leaders on both sides need to go through the Internal process and publish their ‘reports to shareholders’ about internal failures. As I pointed out recently also – LTTE was clever and was used by those seeking shortcuts to ‘freedom’. The deterioration in young ones is confirmation of this Ravana quality which is not limited to the Tamil side. By limiting the inquiry,  Sri Lankan government is obviously trying to protect its armed forces and therefore its own political wins. This is fine – so long as we do not desire use of global resources beyond our own investment in global principles including the Rome Statute – through PRACTICE.  If even one Sri Lankan has genuinely practiced the Rome Statue – knowingly or otherwise – all Sri Lankans are entitled to be administered by the principles of Rome Statute. If this is not facilitated – then the system of Natural Justice would keep contradicting the Government – through acts of  god.

In Vaddukoddai – it is not difficult to overpower the Sinhalese Officer one way or the other. At Mallakam Courts in North – the new system is to handover our mobile phones to a private store on the other side of the road, instead of the Jaffna  practice of turning it off or the Colombo practice of handing it over to the Administration and collecting it at the end. The above demonstrates lack of consistency in Judicial Administration – despite North having a retired Judicial leader in the high position. The way the war-crimes inquiry outcomes are received by various participants would likewise vary. Such diversity requires ‘localization’ towards internal transformations. The rest need to be through Global Measures to settle Sri Lanka’s dues to the Global Community – largely through those who truly practice global values even in remote areas of Sri Lanka.

Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 24 January   2016
Thaipusam festival celebration in Malaysia

Right to Self Determination is Everyone’s

Today is Thai Poosam:

Thaipusam, Thaipoosam (Tamilதைப்பூசம்) is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (January/February). It is mainly observed in countries where there is a significant presence of Tamil community such as India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Guadalupe, Reunion, Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar.
The word Thaipusam is a combination of the name of the month, Thai, and the name of a star, Pusam. This particular star is at its highest point during the festival. The festival commemorates the occasion when Parvati  gave Murugan a Vel "spear" so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.’ Wikipedia

On this day I read again, the response to my article ‘Who Will Save Sri Lanka?’,  from a leading member of the Tamil Diaspora who effectively states that the Ravanas of Sri Lanka need to be eliminated, for Sri Lanka to be saved/redeemed to its sovereign status. Murugan is recognized as the foremost Deity particular to Tamils. By celebrating Thai Poosam due to faith /belief – we bring the Hindu Tamil minds together. Non-Hindu Tamils who are bound through other common pathways would also feel the power of this connection. Tamil Self-Determination in Sri Lanka  is the most important issue for Tamils of Sri Lanka.
I received also from a Tamil Diaspora leader the Indian Express article ‘TNA Refutes Wigneswaran’s Charge of Giving Up Right to Self Determination’. I therefore tried to workout what I had to do at this point in time to empower Sri Lanka in terms Self-Determination – through Tamils. If Sri Lankan Tamils are self-governing – such power is naturally shared with all Sri Lankans seeking self-governance.
How does one work out whether one is self-governing? The response that came to my mind was that every true owner is self-governing. We usually claim ownership  – be it home, province or nation at three levels:
1.      The apparent – through physical association
2.      The known – through knowledge using common measures / laws/principles
3.      The felt.
In terms of Government – it is Politics, Administration and Governance
Claiming rights largely  through physical occupation, knowing that one did not pay the costs - leads to mental disorder. Not only the Sri Lankan Government which was funded by outsiders – but also the LTTE which ‘took’ money from Indians and the diaspora earning money without feeling ownership in their new nations carry these genes. Unless these are eliminated by true owners – the new constitution by these leaders would carry high level of these genes once the new constitution is written. These are the Ravana/Asura genes we Sri Lankans carry.
Asuras are those driven by brawn power – including hearsay knowledge. Hence the philosophy underpinning Thai Poosam – that it is the day when Mother with Intuitive Power empowered son towards eliminating the ego in those driven by brawn power. Ego is pleasure of the brain and it happens when our benefits are greater than the costs. The law of Nature says that at the physical level benefits must equal costs to maintain stability. Hence death is Equal Opposite to birth. The balance of the mind happens when Costs are Equal to Benefits. When more benefits are enjoyed at the physical level than the costs paid by the person/group – the person/group goes up and down with the physical manifestations for or against the person/group.
An Asura / Ravana / Physically driven person / Politician – staying within his/its natural habitat is harmless to others. But when he/it infiltrates into the world of the intellectually driven – by using brawn power – there is injustice / imbalance. It is to prevent such infiltration that one needs Separation. This happens through position hierarchy in a vertical structure and through Separation at Equal level – when the cultural differences are greater than the commonness. Where there has been position abuse in a hierarchical structure – Natural Separation happens through all those who suffered but did not retaliate. Those who retaliate confirm reliance on brawn power – as happened through LTTE. Lord Muruga Himself separated by expressly claiming injustice but NOT retaliating. In Sri Lanka a section of the Tamil Community did retaliate against abuse of  majority power . This would have diluted the ownership powers of Tamils relative to the past when we did not retaliate and therefore carried ‘intuitive powers’ of a mother. Such intuitive powers are natural to most mothers because their costs/investments in their children and family are greater than the benefits derived. Hence mothers are known as Shankthi / Energy in Hinduism. It is this power that Muruga’s mother shares with Her son on Thai Poosam day.
As per the above news report:
‘Wigneswaran had told TNA members in the Northern Provincial Council (NPC) earlier this week, that the TNA had pledged itself to securing for the Tamils self determination in its manifesto for the 2013 NPC elections, but it had not mentioned it in its manifesto for the August 2015 Lankan parliamentary elections. He was insinuating that the TNA’s leadership had struck a cozy relationship with the Sinhalese leaders in Colombo to the detriment of the Tamils.

If indeed, Mr. Wigneswaran is concluding that the path to Self-Governance by Tamils as a Community is blocked by Sinhalese with majority power then as a senior within the Tamil Community, Mr. Wigneswaran has the right to share his Shakthi/Spear with Politicians who have the position of Opposition Leadership in National Parliament. But as Chief Minister of Northern Province, the primary duty of Mr. Wigneswaran is to eliminate the blocks to self-governance within his area – especially from majority groups against minority groups – the line of separation being on the basis of culture.  In places like Vaddukoddai where the first political declaration of Self-Governance was made by Tamils – there is high risk of reverse discrimination due to easy status through armed power and money from the Diaspora donated without firm structures that would ensure that the recipients are in need and any  money above that level of  need is earned on merit basis. Words of Rights to Self-Determination likewise, need to be as per need and/or merit. Election promises are words and not actions. Administrative pathway using Intellectual Discrimination develops knowledge of self-determination. The more Tamils depend on personal contacts rather than Common Principles and Laws – the less self-governing we would be through Democracy.

To my mind, the issue of Buddhism being included in the Constitution as the foremost religion is an issue that needs to be addressed. Lord Muruga is personified with two wives –Theivayanai & Valli. As per the underpinning philosophy – they are the Motivating Energy (Itchcha Shakthi) and the Kinetic / Work Energy (Kiriya Shakthi) of the man. During the time of manifestation of this philosophy – one man with two wives would have been lawful. The parallel of that in Sri Lankan Constitution is Secular Law and Buddhist Law. This would have been appropriate during Foreign rule but not now. The above Hindu philosophy needs to be practiced by finding Equal woman as wife or by keeping one confidentially in one’s mind. Likewise in the case of religion in governance.

Sinhalese politicians may keep knocking us back on the proposal to eliminate Article 9 which allows two laws system. This means that the ruler of Sri Lanka is recognized as being weaker in Common Law and hence is recognized as needing two wives / sets of laws. One who uses only one set successfully – is the stronger governor in democracy. Such a governor would intuitively empower all Sri Lankans – irrespective of whether they are Buddhists, Hindus, Christians or Muslims. Those who invest in such leadership would realize self-governance without needing politicians. It’s time politicians learnt from such citizens who work more and talk less.

Tamils are a major pathway through whom Hindus world-over share their self-governance powers with Sri Lanka. Malaysian and Singaporean Tamils are such a strong force during Thai Poosam festival due to them practicing this festival away from its birthplace - India. Appreciating that generates stronger power than political  talk about self-determination.

Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 22 January   2016

Who Will Save Sri Lanka?

[Well may we say "God save the Queen", because nothing will save the Governor-General! The Proclamation which you have just heard read by the Governor-General's Official Secretary was countersigned Malcolm Fraser, who will undoubtedly go down in Australian history from Remembrance Day 1975 as Kerr's cur. ] The Hon Gough Whitlam – 21st Prime Minister of Australia

I was reminded of the above when I read the following news this morning:

The president of Sri Lanka has said foreign judges and prosecutors should not be involved in an investigation into allegations of war crimes.’ BBC

If such is the case – then Sri Lankans must prepare for Sri Lanka  to become another participant in global wars.  The reason is simple – we used global resources to prolong and then claim victory over Terrorism. Now we are effectively saying ‘We want our privacy’

If that is considered reasonable in the name of Sovereignty – Sri Lanka must calculate the value of global resources used in Sri Lanka’s ethnic war and record it as a debt owed by Sri Lanka to the global community. This is essential to maintain our Sovereignty – because nothing comes free in the world of Relativity.

Had Sri Lanka been Sovereign when the Tamil Tigers were active, it would not have needed Foreign Governments’ aid to combat terrorism. Had Sri Lankan Tamil Community been Sovereign in 1976 when we  recorded  the Vaddukoddai Resolution – we would not have accepted funds from foreigners – starting with India’s Tamil Nadu. Neither group was Sovereign.

What therefore would happen if we do not include members of the international community in the judges’ panel and write our horoscope – the confirmation of our past – on which is based our true Constitution for tomorrow? As per my understanding of the system of karma, we would lose self-confidence at the global level and be taken over by more powerful players in the International Political Game.

As per the above report:

[The final months of the 26-year war were the most bloody, with the government accused of repeatedly shelling safe zones set up to protect civilians. The Tamil Tiger rebels were accused of holding civilians as human shields and firing on those who tried to flee. Both sides denied the allegations.
President Sirisena said that while the UN report released in September 2015 had pointed to army involvement in war crimes, the report had failed to mention names. He said it was important to determine whether such crimes actually took place.]

An issue could be dealt with at the following levels:

1.      Through objectively verifiable facts
2.      Through Process Reliability
3.      Policy level

Individual names is needed to try individuals through global laws. When a whole government is held responsible – all members of that government at the time of  manifestation of the outcomes become party to such an inquiry. This includes many members of the current government – including the current president. Similarly, on the Tamil side – using the same measure - to the extent members of the LTTE were not tried by an International Court – individual members of the LTTE should not be listed as Terrorists. The whole of the  LTTE could be referred to as Terrorists only after they have been tried in an international court through global laws.

If therefore the Government is to be released from this responsibility – it must happen only on condition that they refrain from referring to the LTTE as Terrorists. Those who have followed global laws in listing the LTTE as Terrorists, have the responsibility to allow themselves to be measured for parallel crimes. To run away from such responsibility would isolate Sri Lanka to become a Coward in the International Community. The minds of Sri Lankans who rely on their Governments would become weak and disorderly through these war-genes which would remain as unaddressed cancer cells in our deep memories. Only true self-governing Sri Lankans could, through their Grace, then release Sri Lanka from the burdens of its sins of the past. Given that it is based on ethnicity – Tamil would need to cure Tamils and Sinhalese would need to cure Sinhalese.

Once the new Constitution is born – the war issue goes into heritage value. If we address the war crimes/terrorism  issue during current times – we could use ‘rights and wrongs’ to  balance our ethnic equation. That would raise the issue to the intellectual level which fits our claim that we are an educated country. Then the value added to the new constitution would be positive – to both sides. The one who ‘hides’ would become less orderly than the one who ‘owns’ the problem and therefore the opportunity.

Tamil Nadu Parliament

Sri Lankan Constitution & the Power of India

Tamil Nadu Governor Rosaiah demands justice for war victims in Sri Lanka’ says the Hindu on behalf of Indian Media. What right does Tamil Nadu have over Sri Lankan Tamils? Should such rights be recognized through our changes to the Sri Lankan Constitution? If no, does that mean that we are saying that there is no need to pay attention to the opinions and demands by Tamil Nadu? Likewise the Muslim Countries?

Sri Lankan President
‘Intense discussions have been underway ever since the government announced its decision to bring about constitutional changes. Numerous seminars, symposiums and open discussions were held by various interested groups from all communities to ensure their rights in the proposed constitution.
Emphasizing the need to ensure the rights of all communities President Maithripala Sirisena said, “We must safeguard the rights of all communities, to prevent re-emergence of terrorism.”
“Public would be given the opportunity to decide whether they need a new Constitution, Constitutional amendments with an Executive Prime Minister and a nominal Head of State. The government has not taken a final decision on the proposed Constitution. We do not know whether it would be a new Constitution or amendments to the current Constitution. We also have to decide on the electoral reforms and what to do with the much criticized Preferential Voting System” he added.

Muslims
However already a section of the Sinhalese community declared that they wanted a unitary constitution with Buddhism as state religion, but failed to speak about the rights of the minorities and status of other religions such as Hinduism, Islam and Christianity
Muslim politicians so far seem to be indifferent and have failed to get together leave alone discussing means to protect the interest of the community. They remain divided though the forthcoming constitution will seal the fate of the communities and the country for years to come.’ - Constitutional Changes: Muslim Politicians’ Indifference By  Latheef Farook of Colombo Telegraph

Which pathway should Minorities follow? – the religious pathway or the Common pathway?

The Constitution could be read through a combination of three levels:

1.      Hearsay – known as Sittrarivu in Tamil (Body)
2.      Discriminative thinking using Common measures – known as Pagutharivu in Tamil (Mind)
3.      Common Belief – known as Shakthi in Tamil (Soul) - where one does not need either of the above pathways but be driven by Truth.

Those using 1 above would need majority endorsement to maintain harmony. They are driven  by the seen. This needs to be transparent for it to be valid.
Those using 2 above would maintain order as individuals. This requires commitment to  Common Measure – by custodians of power for it to end up as Policy
Those using 3 above would exponentially empower all members of the whole that the Believer feels a part of. As per my conclusion, Gandhi was of this category. Such souls are the  writers of  the real constitution of the whole. Their discoveries are the structures  that confirm true order and even though not recognized through official pathways they stay in waiting as Energy – to support the next generation as well as the wider world.

We do not know of a Sri Lankan political leader who is strongly committed to Gandhi’s pathway. Our recent history / actuals confirm that we have naturally separated on the basis of language and religion. .  Hence we are relying on religious leadership and/or de facto relationships using current merit only.

In the system of Democracy, Separation of Powers between the Executive and the Judiciary is expressly stated to prevent physical separation through Conflicts. We need to recognize this consciously and promote Equal status until established otherwise through Common Measures – as in 2 above.

It is reported that Chief Minister of Northern Province had stated that  ‘Devolution of power on the basis of shared sovereignty shall necessarily be over land, law and order, socio-economic development including health and education, resources and fiscal powers…right to self-determination” but within a united Lanka should be recognized and that the Northern and Eastern Provinces should be merged to form a single Tamil-speaking province with adequate safeguards for the Tamil-speaking Muslim community

It is reported that Prime Minister, the Hon  Ranil Wickremesinghe had stated in response – ‘As a Buddhist, Sinhalese and a Sri Lankan, I will not break up the country’.

Both leaders are confirming their ignorance of Democracy. One who seeks to be under a system using religious / cultural measures – is using ‘project basis’ – where we identify with the beginning and the end through visible inputs and outcomes. Only the lesson learnt from that project is taken to the Program. Mr. Wigneswaran suggesting Language based devolution is automatically losing the right to contribute to Unitary structure. Likewise Mr. Wickremesinghe who calls himself a ‘Buddhist, Sinhalese’ naturally loses the right to claim One Nation credit as Sri Lankan. One could be a Sri Lankan of Tamil, Hindu/Muslim/Sinhalese/Buddhist  origin but  cannot be structurally both at the one time. When one maintains both – one naturally divides and Sri Lankan gets separated from the Sinhalese/Buddhist. Likewise the Muslim from the Tamil.

Where Buddhism is included actively in the Constitution – a Buddhist has the foremost responsibility to use the Buddhist pathway in Governance. Majority Buddhists need to therefore meditate and bring only their final discoveries to National level. Likewise, Tamils using Tamil culture and Muslims using Muslim culture.

In both Tamils and Muslims – the natural cultural investment makes them self sufficient and both are outstanding in Business – to the extent they do not expect high status due to participation in policy. Lawyers who do not bring their discoveries to the Policy level – likewise close their gates on the Public and have their own secret deals. Recently, a lawyer expressed expectations that I ought to sign papers regarding termination of his services – at the same time I was signing consent to him withdrawing from the case. When I pointed out that both could not happen at the same time – he said that such was acceptable practice in Court. It confirmed to me that the Judiciary was using its own de facto practices to such an extreme that one could not identify with the Spirit / Soul of the law inherited from our predecessors. Like the low caste folks of Thunaivi – Vaddukoddai – Sri Lankan legal fraternity have disenfranchised themselves and have started practicing reverse discrimination / telling. This particular lawyer and I have both invested in Swami Sathya Sai Baba – and hence he did not argue when I declined to sign.

The Constitution unless written in the language of the ordinary member of the Public – would be hijacked by Politicians and the Judiciary – to ‘show’ outsiders and not to work the system quietly. The more money-minded we become the more we would produce to show outsiders. The more we show – the less we use ‘confidentially’ to develop internal human resources and therefore the Common Mind.

Those who produce outcomes without knowing the root causes – need to be driven by the effects. The basis of karma is that at total level – every Sovereign Unit is equal to every other Sovereign Unit. Sinhalese or Buddhist cannot therefore be of lesser or greater value than Sri Lankan. A person who is legally Sri Lankan – has the option of using the religious pathway or the common secular pathway but not both. Every Politician who claims to be both at the same time – is using hearsay which would naturally make a mockery of their contribution to the Constitution where at least one Sri Lankan of their times is writing the real one through her/his conduct – to empower the whole of Sri Lanka.

I am Australian Tamil not Australian separate and Tamil separate. Until the Australian Government punished me and the Sri Lankan Government failed to support me  – I was Australian of Sri Lankan origin.   Not any more. I have the full right to call myself who I am. The language used by me would confirm which category I belong to. Mr. Wigneswaran and Mr. Wickremesinghe are both of category 1 and I am of category 3. They need majority vote to influence externally. I am power of One.

If the real National Constitution is not recognized – it is highly likely that the stronger practitioners would form networks of cultural connections using their true practices as the Constitution for the global group. National Governments may call them Terrorists but the true seeker – would know that it was the failure of such Governments that leads to such natural spreads at the lower level. Where a community is truly self-governing – such blessings happen through God’s system –as India’s Tamil Nadu is to Tamils of Sri Lanka and the Middle East is to Muslims of Sri Lanka and the West is to Christians. That’s the way god-power provides Equal Opportunity where National leaders fail.

Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 13 January   2016

Where is YOUR BALANCE CA SRI LANKA?

Sri Lanka – An Indian Territory?

[Sampanthan said that the demand for a separate state resulted in a war which pushed the country backwards.
“The war has come to an end and more importantly there is no more a demand for a separate state” he said
The LTTE had pushed for a separate state but Sampanthan says the demand was dropped even before the war ended] (Colombo Gazette)]

The claim of Self Governance was brought out by Tamil Politicians. No Politician had/has the authority  to hand it over to the LTTE – so it would be suppressed. As I keep saying here in Vaddukoddai where the first political declaration of Self Governance was made by Tamil Politicians – one wrong cannot effectively be negated by a right from another issue. The 1976 Vaddukoddai Resolution had the blessings of  Natural Powers – as confirmed by the Tamil Political Party becoming the leading Opposition in 1977 Parliamentary Elections. The then President JR Jayawardene brought about the new Constitution in 1978, confirming the fear of Sinhalese Politicians. The Independent Observer would know that this was the path of Truth. Once Desire is manifested,  the other side – Fear - also is manifested  but remains in ‘waiting’ for the recipient body to come along. Where there is no ‘system’ authority used for such manifestations – the other side happens simultaneously and is harmless. That is the way of the animal world. All those who invest genuinely in a Higher Common system – prevent the simultaneous manifestation of  Fear due to their investment in the Higher Common System – such as Law and Order. The highest of such systems is the pathway of Truth which works beyond the boundaries of the physical media through which It is manifested. Its value is naturally exponential.

Taken at face value – the above statement by Mr. Sampanthan says – that the war was started by LTTE. Since LTTE is dead and gone at body level – the above effectively is -  talking ill of the Dead.  The LTTE was in the Tamil before and after  the war as the JVP was in the Sinhalese before and after the war.  Unless the demon within is addressed and diffused – we carry it as our Paavam / Sins into the next period/project.  They manifest through Desires for unearned Benefits by threatening the other side with harm to the physical. If the ‘other side’ does not have such desire – it does not react and the manifesting person/group would give up or start looking elsewhere. The Sinhalese Politician became that medium back then but when LTTE was declared Terrorists at global level – by Politicians who by oath were committed to uphold Sri Lankan Sovereignty – that Desire entered foreign bodies in waiting. The following is one such example surfaced through  my article ‘Knock & It Shall Open’. It came from a fellow Australian of non-Sri Lankan origin – which means when I receive it – it gets diffused internally through my investment in Truth as an Australian:

[I wonder how many beautiful Tamil mothers answered a knock at their door only to be
confronted with vile terrorists of their own bloodline, who kidnapped their children
and forced them to become child soldiers. How many doors closed on these children's educations, futures and eventually their lives? Now it's all water under the bridge and washing our hands at the toilet becomes the issue? Very sad. Spilt blood for 30 years for what? ]

I responded as follows:

[The issues remain the same. The mothers were negligent then and they still are.
Politicians use these mothers' ignorance of strong and reliable pathways - to make out
as if they are of the one system. They were when we had the job-based caste system.
Given that Sri Lankan Government did not have democratic systems to manage
multicultural Sri Lanka - there was no evolution from the caste system to Democracy
which better suits the multicultural society. When we abuse the system of  democracy we
divide ourselves and separate. Hence the inability of the Politicians to keep us
together.

Even today - idle youth who greeted me with ‘good morning ammah’ - started laughing as soon as my back was turned towards them.  I could not see them. It's that kind of culture. Others have reported this quality in the youth here. The moment they know that there are no benefits to come from a person of higher status  - they start showing their true ways - which is to ridicule the higher order. LTTE kept them in control  under fear and then once they felt they were better off with LTTE than through any other pathway - they stayed on voluntarily. I learnt this from grieving mothers who needed a shoulder to cry on. Easy handouts is also the problem here. Youth try to belittle those who insist on them earning their benefits.
I keep reporting them back to their mothers who have expressed trust in me  saying
there has been much progress since my involvement here. The parents of these youth were employed in their traditional trades under the caste system. When outsiders show them the easier pathway they stay away from school and idle in groups - ridiculing those who go to
school.
You may feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for me - and those who have given up their /
our earned comforts to transform these young ones - who would form a worse group than
LTTE - which is already reported to be happening overseas. ]

Separation as stated above – happens when we abuse a system and get benefits through claims of Equality which are yet to be real. Western nations taking on refugees as per global commitments – continue to practice ‘Divide and Rule’ policy due to their attachment to status handed down from their predecessors – but without positive heritage value. They naturally would consider others/Rebels who steal their show – to be their opposition/enemies. Where one fails to limit oneself to her/his half at the physical level – but takes up higher authority – the risk of  interference and therefore damage to the earned benefits and rights of others is high.

Where the individual physical manifestations in a relationship are greater than the  Common manifestations shown to the Public – we need Equal Opportunity Laws and Separation of Powers. Where we need to ‘show’ internally – we are need to take up the ‘other’ side. Hence Equal Opposition in Democracy.

Tamils’ earnings as Equals was confirmed by the 1977 Parliamentary elections and again through 2015 elections. It was by seeking and find the connection through the pathway of Truth – about the former that I was able to invest in the latter. In 1977 I was a very ordinary voter with very little investment in direct National Politics. I was also a victim of the 1977 civil riots – to the extent I remained an outsider to such groups that rely on physical powers. By 2015 – I was part of those groups due to my ‘Service’ projects in Sri Lanka after completing my Australian experience to become Independent as an Individual. Hence I am able to Transform the negative elements in such groups. The reward is that I know that they are getting cured of their callousness and frivolousness. Just yesterday, I confirmed my support to the teenage son of the guy who tore up our Australian Tamil Management Service banner  because I refused to give him money for a drink. The father passed away about 8 months ago and the teenage son has taken over the father’s self-employment business.

One of the negative returns for Tamils as well as Sinhalese – is the loss of opportunity to participate in Higher Common Order. They often resort to low level self-employment. This is glorified by promises of Business Unit approach in Democracy.  Vaddukoddai which declared political independence ahead of Jaffna – is now like a ghost town. Vaddukoddai was strongly influenced by Malaysian Pensioners looking for retirement power – as American money is to the current government.

Every Tamil who accepts the above by Mr. Sampanthan when s/he has the opportunity to uphold the Vaddukoddai Resolution – and thereby honor our politicians in consolidated form – risks becoming the victim of Fear that the Tamil is second class – needing endorsements by the Government that we are Equal. One who desires quick rise to that position of Government would cut off those who seem like outsiders. That is what LTTE did. Mr. Sampanthan has cut off the itchy nose to spite the face.

LTTE was just the itchy nose of the Tamil Community priding itself as high achievers in Educational pursuits. We also sold our intelligence to the highest pay masters and are entertaining Cheap Indian intelligence such as this by my own Alma Mater:

The Institute that has to ‘import’ externals when there is a dire need to strengthen Sri Lanka’s Sovereignty - is automatically selling itself to those very ‘outsiders’. We are going global cheaply – while our Alumni world over keeps living in its past praising its own tail. That example was set by the Diaspora politicians’ alumni.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants have confirmed the effect of Mr. Sampanthan dropping the Separate State demand. We Sri Lankans have become the 37th Political Territory of India. MG Ramachandran – the actor without political heritage started the move by cheap   money to LTTE and now the Institute is copying to look Indian.
Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 13 January   2016

Cargills Food City - Jaffna

Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 11 January   2016

Knock and It shall Open

The Government is preparing the Third Republican Constitution and what we do now genuinely in Sri Lanka, to share our Truth with our respective home environments is a natural power that would Energize the Constitution of this Land of ours. The Land becomes one through Truth. When manifested – this Truth empowers the Time & Place of manifestation.

Truth is Absolute and therefore is independent of the medium/media through which It manifests. One who manifests the Truth proactively is empowered by that Truth to work the pathway through which the manifestation happened. Truth when manifested becomes Fact. If Truth is the soul, fact is the human. What happened as we remember it is the Body.

In terms of the Constitution – the document is the Body. The Truth that was identified with  in the name of this Nation is the Soul of the Constitution.

Truth  becomes relative when manifested at the physical level. The deeper our experience – the more positive the manifested Truth / Fact would be for that place and time. The shallower the experience – the more negative the manifested Fact would be. It’s like good relations and bad relations in a family. The good ones enjoy high natural status and the bad ones enjoy low natural status – when the One measure is used. Until manifested Truth is neither right nor wrong. But what happens is that when someone has a desire – and feels ‘free’ to fulfill that desire – the forces that would be negative if manifested through the measures/laws that the person claims to be committed to – and are the demons in waiting, add themselves to the new entrant who thinks s/he is ‘free’. If the person/s with positive value become observers instead of active participants – this combined force would manifest Itself. In democracy which is based more on current values than on heritage, the risk of such combination of negative forces is high due to voters claiming ‘rights’ at National level while damaging the earned rights of those in their physical environment. The LTTE which claimed sole-representation of Tamils and killed Tamils using their own measures have added much negative force to Democracy in the environment which they claimed to be home – largely through physical attributes. To the extent the Tamil Community had visible leaders who manifested themselves but had greater positive value when measured through the system of Democracy and Equal Rights until known otherwise – the Tamil Community preserved its Independence Heritage.  The call now is to Transform the Tamil Community rather than Reform.

Commonness is essential for Transformation to happen naturally. Reformation through knowledge requires conscious adherence to Rules and Regulations. Today’s Tamil Community is comfortable with the ‘freedom’ at the bottom. The reason is the emigration of those who could have completed their life here and added value to this land by showing their Truth. LTTE Leadership was practicing autocracy – without having earned the higher status with the educated part of the Tamil Community. That would happen with any armed force – official or otherwise. When Tamils idly state that something would not have happened if the ‘Boys’ were here – it means that the Tamil Community is lacking in intellectual leadership in official positions.

As per The New Indian Express article ‘TMP Watchdog of Lanka Tamil Politics’:
[The Chief Minister of Sri Lanka’s Tamil-majority Northern Province, C V Wigneswaran, has clarified that the Tamil Makkal Peravai (TMP), which he has floated, is not a rival to the Tamil National Alliance (TNA), but is a non-partisan, civil society watchdog meant to see that the basic interests of the Lankan Tamils are upheld by their leaders and not compromised for petty gains.]

In terms of Politics in Democracy -  that role is the role of the Citizen of each environment. Only the voter has that right at political level.  In terms of Mr. Wigneswaran – he needs to complete his experience by coming down to the level of the highest practitioner of democracy in his environment at that time – to complete the experience and write the Truth of the completed experience as the lesson/constitution from then on for that place. It’s a collection of such completed lessons that need to be sent to the Sri Lankan National Parliament – through all Tamil representatives. As a member of the Judiciary – Mr. Wigneswaran has the responsibility to submit the Consolidated value of this to the Constitutional Council. THIS ought to be the core purpose of such a People’s Council. No Politician has the right to monitor another politician. They are all queens and kings in their own areas. Given that the National laws are different to the local laws of faith that Tamils govern themselves through – the Tamil Community has the responsibility to add itself to the Constitution – through a consolidated version of Truth that we need to enjoy the freedom of  expression but without damaging another’s earned right to that freedom at a higher or lower level to us.

Democracy and Autocracy are like our two hands. Where we have Equal Opposition – the manifested Truth will be our constitution until the next manifestation. Where Democratic benefits are greater than Autocratic benefits – we need to use  Democracy as our Right hand and show the world our outcomes and /or processes. Hence Transparency & Accountability. Where Autocracy is the stronger influencing force and it would be to the extent we rely on our past – then we need to use it as our left hand and keep it confidential. To the extent we do not get our earned benefits due to this ‘confidentiality’ – that contribution empowers us from within to become heritage in waiting for the next generation. A good example is Thesawalamai for Tamils of Northern Province.

Now that this Tamil of Northern Sri Lanka has manifested this contribution to the making of the next Constitution – it is the DUTY of the Tamil People’s Council to give it recognition as that of Australia’s contribution to the Tamil Community. It may go through the National Constitution or may bypass that level. But it would surely open the door of Independence to any true seeker who knocks on the Facility.

Now I have to go to my regular job at this time – to train staff and customers at our Vaddukoddai Training Center - in managing hygiene – including by allocating Equal  level of importance to toilet habits as we do to food habits.  I doubt that the CEO of Cargills food stores uses the toilets in his outlets with the same comfort as he feels when using his home toilets. So some of us need to fill that gap through our global standards of democracy at the place where we enjoy highest status in this autocratic environment.

Gajalakshmi Paramasivam – 08 January   2016

The Ultimate Judgment is by the Self

Today is the birthday of our lawyer cousin Anandakrishnan of Malaysia. Cousin Ananda’s most favorite saying was ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’. I thought of our cousin even as I read the Island editorial ‘Justitia cringing in horror’. The opening paragraph goes as follows:

[It is with trepidation that ordinary people always visit courts of law. For, even a yawn in those places is considered contempt of court which carries severe punishment. A man was sentenced to eight months in jail for yawning in a court the other day. Policemen pounce on those who ever so much as scratch their heads in a courtroom. That’s how the dignity of the judiciary is persevered!]

If this did happen – then the former Chief Justice actually dismissed herself. The law is the measure for Legal Administration. Not the opinion of the person in the judge’s chair.  Every neglected judgment such as the above – accumulates interest until it is fat enough to punish the person at the top who has the ultimate responsibility to the Public. I dedicated a whole chapter of my book Naan Australian – published by Lake House group – towards addressing this kind of disorder at Mallakam Courts in Northern Sri Lanka. At Policy level as at voting level – we need only one side to be validly heard. At Policy level – we need to be both sides representing the whole. The law makers and administrators may not read my work – but the Energy added by me would remain in waiting to support someone like me in need. THAT I am sure of, because I myself have had the experience of such support. Every Nation that recognizes at the top level – the value of religion or God – has the moral duty to hear and include such experiences in their law making. That is the primary duty of elected members of Parliament. Neglected responsibility goes into ‘automatic’ mode once the body of the matter deteriorates due to time and/or place changes. The surface memory based on the seen and the heard – deteriorates with time. Only the memory that is written through discriminating thinking and/or out of faith in a higher mind, lasts to support us beyond its physical existence. Within the Sri Lankan media – the Island is also one such accumulator of negligence karma.

The Island has been getting my emails regularly and is yet to publish even one of my articles. The Daily News published my work twice – both in relation to legal personalities – the first one of Sinhalese origin and the next one of Tamil origin. I concluded that the Daily News was more close to its soul than any other official medium in my email list. Given that I do not know anyone personally at the Daily News, I conclude that my work was picked up by someone true to her/his job. THAT is the law of Nature.  The Island Editor states:

[The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has led pro-democracy campaigns from the front and fearlessly taken on oppressive governments to protect judicial independence and tame arrogant political leaders who thought no end of themselves. It courageously took up the cudgels for Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake when she was wrongfully impeached. It has recently called for action against those who set upon the Meethotamulla protesters.]

The independence of any group – including the Judiciary is tested by its service to the Common Public. Just today our staff gave me positive feedback about the officer of the Pradeshiya Sabai who was disciplined by me for him acting without authority. In that judgment I was the judge and today I had feedback that the recipient had accepted my judgment in a positive manner. To my mind, that meant that the report I produced – had traveled through the network – with the final stage going towards empowering the new Constitution being written by the officer concerned for his part of the National Law & Order machine. That is how the circle of self-governance is completed. The communication from me might have been read and used by some higher official without attributing due credit to me. But the outcome was read by me as if I had delivered my own judgment.

At the same time, a lady citizen of Vaddukoddai said to me words to the effect ‘why are you spending more and more money without enough income to recover your investment?’ I smiled and said the outcome was confirmed yet again to be at policy level. As per that lady’s mind structure – donations to temples is worthy – especially when the donor is allocated high status in common gathering. The lady could not ‘see’ such parallel value in my case. As per the principles of Democracy – I accept Equal status from a person who never had to work outside her home for a living. Our common measures are home-making activities. She herself has been praising the quality of  Rotti/Chappathi  (Sri Lankan bread of Indian origin) made by me. To me that was endorsement in action of my policy to demonstrate Equality to the person of highest status in a particular issue at that place. The rest, I realize now – accumulates as motivating Energy.

Last evening I opened the mail of Mr. Ramanathan of Senior citizens in Sydney. To my mind, the work I was doing here in Vaddukoddai when they were celebrating their life – was at least of Equal value. Had I been active in Sydney I would not have accumulated this level of motivational Energy to come to Vaddukoddai where there is a deeper need. I believe I am capable of developing Common structures that would keep the connections between the Diaspora and the Local folks going beyond my generation. That is the Heritage value I share beyond cultural and generational borders. It cannot be measured through money profits.

Recently, Sri Lankan law experts accused me of being defamatory when I criticized them. All  lawyers concerned  have chosen to remain silent – even privately when my opposition in two matters – one in Colombo and the other in Mallakam -  brought out that my current marriage was my second marriage. That is cheap and yet it was not opposed by my side lawyers. In the Colombo matter where I am the primary litigant – I stopped the other side lawyer from going round and round the bush – as if he had discovered a secret about me. In the Mallakam matter in Northern Sri Lanka, where my husband is the primary litigant - when I stepped down after giving evidence, I disciplined both lawyers and there – as a law abiding litigant who has upheld at all times the value of marriage – legally as well as culturally – I was the Judge punishing them through my Truth. The Judge publicly punished me – as if I was a street woman. That would have returned the pain I felt in that part of Sri Lanka where I was / am working towards better life for women headed families – exponentially to the Courts – through the Judge’s position. It takes only a truly believing litigant to reverse the karma on the erring legal system.

If the Sri Lankan media had invested in law and order in areas where it had ‘freedom to judge’ – however tiny that space might have seemed - politicians and the judiciary would have become more aware of the media-watchdog and Sri Lankan media would have done what Channel 4 did in relation to war crimes.  The reason for this is the consolidated power of minds of those who discovered the Truth through Research and shared their work without expecting material returns – of money and status. No genuine contributor to Truth is ever alone. That is the Law of Truth/Love/God. Such person in current environment would invoke the erring side to punish themselves through the fear of their Truth. Ultimately we live with our mind and to the extent we relied on our own ability to discipline ourselves – we would punish ourselves before anyone else does. If someone punishes us after that – we return that accusation to them. That is the Divine power within each and every one of us.

As a Community – we share  this power to influence manifestations at the time and place of need  - which is our home. I believe that it was no coincidence that I was present and focused on the issue  when the LTTE  leadership came to an end in 2009; later when the Rajapaksa regime was dethroned and now then the new Constitution is developing. The basis of the natural Constitution of any place is the Truth discovered by the People of an area about themselves – so each group would take its place relative to the other. By including me as a person of Vaddukoddai I am shaping the actual constitution that Vaddukoddai folks beyond generations, would be able to work to experience ownership in this part of the world. That upholds the consolidated value of Tamil leadership – in self-governance. Lord Krishna shared with us the Bhagawath Geetha through Prince Arjuna who believed in Krishna. The place was the battlefield where Prince Arjuna had to rise above personal likes and dislikes to do his duty as per his allocated position. It was NOT a room in the king’s court which had failed in its duty to earn its status as the highest institution. If the Sri Lankan Judiciary had upheld its Equal position as the Executive – it would have saved Sri Lankans from the damages of war. Likewise the Judiciary of western countries would have prevented the war declared by Muslim rebels had they actually practiced Equal Opportunity principles. Sri Lankan Courts punishing citizens for yawning is in breach of the Doctrine of Separation of Powers – for it is part of the duties of the Executive Government. Patting ourselves on the back that we criticized and punished the former Executive for dismissing the then Chief Justice is confirmation of hallucination – that hearsay memory becomes with age. An institution that fails to keep within its allocated position at primary level does not have the root to uphold such high principles at the top level. In the case of Chief Justice – the Truth manifested itself when the two powers became Equally low in status.

The Judiciary habitually crosses the border to exceed its powers over the litigant. As Cousin Anandakrishnan would have said – the Judiciary  reaped as it sowed.
