ANOTHER CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS?

On All Souls Day, I received the message on the left from the position of the Prime Minister of Australia. Today, on Deepavali day, my nephew Arun rang to wish us and I felt happy. Later I read the thoughtful message from young Cousin Vathanee in Canada and blessed her wholeheartedly. Vathanee takes care of her parents and I appreciate that very much. Then came Nilantha Illangamuwa’s wishes with the note ‘You are an exception with all great qualities’ . To me that is a ‘merger of  minds’ . The best Deepavali wishes came from my own karma surfaced by the following in the Island article ‘Please don’t forget people who elected you, Mr. President!’ published on All Souls Day.:

[I was deeply shocked and disappointed when my eyes fell on the relevant gazette notification online within a few hours of its issuance on 27 October. ]

The Wikipedia account of the 2018 Constitutional Crisis includes the following:

[On 27 October President Sirisena issued a formal notice for Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to step down. Sirisena later issued gazettes formalising and defending the dramatic move. Wickremesinghe however entered Temple Trees, the Prime Minister’s residence, refusing to accept the appointment of Mahinda Rajapaksa and his dismissal, insisting in a letter to Sirisena that he was still in office. Sirisena and Rajapaksa announced their intent to form a new cabinet.]

It was on 04 November 2018 that I published the picture on the right. Interestingly the Island article refers to Mr Sivajilingam’s following advice:

[Speaking to the Jaffna media, Sivajilingam said that the President had earlier promised a new Constitution to safeguard the rights of every Sri Lankan.

“Everyone wants the President to come up with a new Constitution. There is pressure to address the issues faced by the Tamil people. However, the President has suddenly appointed a Task Force on One Country One Law. The task force is a joke. Appointing Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera as the head of the task force makes it a farce,” he said.]

 

This confirms that Mr Sivajilingam does not believe that the above would lead to constitutional changes

 

Back in 2018, when Mr Wigneswaran split from the TNA, Mr  Sivajilingam said that ‘the Tamil people do not want to have another party or new Chief Minister but they want to have a permanent solution to the ethnic issue.

For his part, Mr Wigeneswaran is reported to have said ‘TNA has forgotten its vision and is now working according to the whims and fancies of the government.’ – Daily News article – ‘Wiggie to form party, contest PC poll’

Taken together  - they confirm that there is no political solution to the ethnic problem. All they can do is to disturb here and there  through the English media.

But true believers would rely on the merger of Tamil, Sinhala & English minds – as was the case in 2018. When each one of us digs deep within, we will find that commonness that confirms we are Sri Lankans.

LOTUS V TESTUDO

Island Newspaper’s Chief Editor Prabath Sahabandu , in his article ‘Sri Lanka: Mandates Stupidity’ refers to Roman testudo as follows:

[The SLPP leaders, who use their mandates as a Roman testudo in situations where they draw fire for their bad policies, wrong decisions and deplorable actions, will see the public assessment of their conduct and performance if a midterm election is held.

The yahapalana government was scared of elections. It postponed the Provincial Council elections, but had to face the Local Government polls, where its constituents suffered an ignominious defeat. Whether the people who gave the incumbent leaders mandates in 2019 and 2020 are still on their side will be seen if the delayed PC polls are held.]

The above is to protect themselves in South. While they are so busy, India’s Lotus formation known as Padma Vyuham is forming in Northern Province:

[Responding to Jaffna journalists, the Governor said that the lawlessness had been continuing for too long. “The culture of violence is spreading in Jaffna. For a few years groups have started assaulting people. I had a discussion with security forces chiefs because it seems that neither the police nor security forces could tackle this menace. I have received information that some regional politicians are supporting these gangs. I urge these politicians to stop doing so immediately,” he said.]

In my recent articles, I have referred to caste based agitation in Vaddukoddai area, as reported by the Daily Mirror. The young leader who spoke in our area of Thunaivi – claims to follow Father Periyar of Tamil Nadu, who fought against Brahmins dominating leadership. The parallel of this is Buddhist monks dominating politics in South.

As per my discovery, when we make policies that are advantageous to us, the imbalance manifests exponentially – like a pandemic – when a junior accepts it faithfully and completes her/his/its duty as per the junior position. Buddhism Foremost is such a policy which accumulates exponential opposition to itself when a non-Buddhist who believes her/himself to be Sri Lankan, realises her/his soul power and shares within the small group that s/he belongs to. Take for example Nallur in Jaffna. Yoga Swami of Nallur realised this soul-power through Hinduism. Given that he was part of minority Tamil community which as per Article 9 of the Sri Lankan constitution is a junior religion to Buddhism, has a lower threshold to achieve the fulness of ownership. Hence as per the current structure, so long as a realised Hindu does not claim Equal status as a Buddhist  – the ownership power generates itself exponentially beyond the level of one’s position duty. Likewise in any junior position. I realised this through my experience at the University of NSW, which experience helped me appreciate – the ‘miracles’ in my family  life also.

I believe that this power defeated the leader during whose tenure the above article was given birth. The Vaddukoddai Resolution 1976 was a declaration by a junior group – that it realised fullness of ownership through the junior position stipulated in Article 6 of the Sri Lankan Constitution 1972 which is carried as article 9 in the current constitution. In the 1977 Parliamentary Elections the United body of the Tamil Political Parties became the medium through which this exponential opposition force manifested itself to render Equal Opposition position.

When LTTE hijacked the political leadership – claiming visible Equality – Tamils lost this power of the Junior’s Sovereignty through a lower threshold. All those who inherited the ‘Equality’ genes, would continue to separate and dilute the value of Tamil contribution to National ownership.

As per the above mentioned report:

[Governor Thiyagarajah said there were accusations that some rehabilitated LTTE cadres were involved such gangs. The Governor said that he would take steps in the near future to neutralise the criminal gangs.]

The non-violent pathway to do so is through development of civil administration within junior caste areas. I did encounter difficulties with both sides in Vaddukoddai suburbs of Thunaivi & Sangarathai. As a senior caste person living with the Toddy Tapper community despite their opposition when I complained to the Police as a victim of their lawlessness, I earned their respect. We are now assisting the Government Administrators to further train the folks there in lawful conduct – especially through the junior gender who develop the ownership gap as Shakthi / Energy.

One needs to first feel ownership in that area as well as in the relevant law, to invoke the absolute power of belief which makes the believer its medium.  The following chronology confirms the pathway through which the Energy travelled:

19 September 2021 – Alleged Caste based conflict happened in Vaddukoddai

25 September 2021 – I wrote to the Divisional Secretary – with a copy to the GA - the letter in Appendix. I did not have knowledge of the above at that time and later when I learnt about it from the English media – I concluded that it was my intuition that influenced me to protect the property from unlawful takeover by locals.

 

04 October 2021 – Agreement was reached on the above

 

11 October 2021 - The new Governor Jeevan Thiyagarajah was sworn in

 

23 October 2021 – The Political uprising was indicated (சாதியம் / மக்கள் எழுச்சி / SATHIYAM - YouTube). To my mind it was no coincidence that this happened on the birthday of Mr Wigneswaran who took position as ‘Senior’ of the LTTE leader. The above was also recorded in front of the building that Mr Wigneswaran as Chief Minister opened. It was built on someone else’s land. I was not invited to the opening due to fear of my disciplined way which prevented government funds being used to do likewise in terms of the Community Development Secretariat .

 

Members of the Diaspora do read my articles and express appreciation from time to time. But when one provides belief based service that service is ownership of Absolute value and is not relative.

My husband and I are Dual citizens (Australia and Sri Lanka). We continue to maintain our Temple and its surroundings in good order. We are now seeking to invest in educational and training activities in that area and seek to lease the parts of the building towards this. We believe that the lease money would go towards furthering the loan facilities that are already in place within the Thunaivi community and monitored by the Thunaivi Women’s Association. It is our understanding that right now these facilities are at a standstill. As a first project we seek  to train the elected office holders of this Association to maintain records and also to report regularly to all concerned.

 

Our other projects in Sri Lanka include Tutoring students in English (includes Royal College Colombo students) ; The Opportunity shop at Naveena Santhai at Vaddukoddai junction where also we have leased space for training; supporting Mankerni (Batticaloa) community.

 

Please advise us about the requirements to enter into such leasing agreement. If you need further details regarding this, please let us know.

FROM FOREMOST TO SEPARATION

‘Sri Lanka: Mandates Stupidity’ states Prabath Sahabandu who according to Sri Lanka Guardian is ‘the Chief Editor of The Island, a Colombo based daily where this piece first appeared.’ The Island, as per my knowledge never published my articles. But taken as a whole – Sri Lanka Guardian leads in publishing my work over the years. Hence I accepted their word as to who Prabath Sahabandu is. That is the way of Commonness.

So, do I think that the government acted stupidly in appointing a Buddhist monk to head the Presidential Taskforce ? No!

Let us see as to why not?

The introduction to the subject matter begins as follows:

[It has been reported that the Rajapaksa brothers saw red when one of the SLPP coalition leaders, at a recent meeting, expressed his displeasure at the appointment of Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara as the head of the so-called one-country-one-law presidential task force. ]

The Red Rag was actually ‘shown’ to minority bulls through the above mentioned appointment. This would then tend towards perpetuating rebellions and therefore the need to visibly maintain the armed forces at current or greater levels. That is the way of Sakuni / Son of Saturn in the epic Mahabharatham. Sakuni’s weapons were his gambling dice. The weapons of Sinhala Nationalists is Buddhism. The weapons of Tamil Nationalists is Racism. The weapons of Junior Tamils who desire Equality is Casteism.

The Chief Editor goes on to state:

[They reportedly demanded to know what right the dissenting leader had to question the decision of a President who had received a mandate from 6.9 million people. Their line of reasoning defies comprehension. Do they think the mandate they are crowing about has made the President infallible?]

When you logically comprehend, you are not in belief and v.v. One who believes is infallible as per her/his conscience.

When Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa was elected by the People – it was taken to be as per their Belief. I concluded my article headed ‘ICAC ERODING OUR WELLBEING?’ – as follows:

[The ICAC lacks jurisdiction to enter into this area of ‘belief’. Only we the People have the authority to dismiss an elected person on the basis of ‘loss’ of trust. We also have to wait for election time towards this. Let us not forget that criminals who believe in their own sovereignty are also entitled to leader of their belief. ]

That is the power of democracy which is based on ‘soul power’. The soul is a spark of Divinity in us and it is infallible. This power is known as Common power.

When the President recently gave his speech at the UN – the English media in Sri Lanka did not call it ‘stupid’. There Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa played the tune of the English media. Knowledge without belief cannot be sustained to benefit our natural environment.

The Chief Editor states:

[A popular mandate is not a licence for a leader to do as he or she pleases. Instead, it is the authority the people confer on a political leader to act as their representative and serve them.]

True. The Common voter can be served only as per the common belief of that relationship. This is confirmed by that part of the Sri Lankan Constitution that applies exclusively to majority group. This is in Article 9 which states that Buddhism is foremost and Buddha Sasana is the law:

[The Republic of Sri Lanka shall give to Buddhism the foremost place and accordingly it shall be the duty of the State to protect and foster the Buddha Sasana, while assuring to all religions the rights granted by Articles 10 and 14(1)(e).. ]

The current President has so far demonstrated that he gave Buddhism foremost place. Non Buddhists therefore have the choice of accepting him as senior or separating themselves as Equals and operate within their own laws such as Thesawalamai law and Muslim law.

The hidden perpetual value in this constitutional structure is separatism when we claim to be Equal to a Buddhist – as in Common global law. Otherwise every non-Buddhist has the limit to take Junior position to a Buddhist and it is the duty of every Buddhist to take senior position and provide the facilities for the junior religions to practice their faith. Thesawalamai law has the parallel on gender basis. The division is work based. Those of us who practice Thesawalamai law would appreciate the built in Separation of powers in article 9. Those who failed to do so desired Equal Status and invoked juniors to declare separation. Thus ‘Sinhala only’ policy of Mr SWRD  Bandaranayake became Buddhism foremost during the rule of Mrs Bandaranayake who was treated by her husband as a junior who belonged in the kitchen. He was killed by Buddhist monk and the lady who accepted Junior position elevated the Buddhist monk through the above article which within political leadership would have offset the fear of Buddhist leaders getting killed by Buddhist monks.

To my mind, Communism / Marxism was an avenue through which commonness was visibly promoted and hence became a natural opposition of religion and belief based structures that are based on invisible values of Tradition. Their heirs are the JVP in South and LTTE in North. They are now separating from mainstream Traditional politicians in North.

To argue as per the Constitution which is the Bible of Sri Lanka, one has to be above Buddhism as Common God or consciously remain within her/his side of the Constitution where s/he has the opportunity to be god.

Let us therefore project the statement above regarding service as a representative. As Equal  - one Represents. But to serve one has to be junior. As a senior you need the authority to structure and the structure ensures protection of your earnings. A senior does not lead by direct work at equal level as the person s/he represents. Hence majority vote beyond one vote is not valuable. All one needs is one vote majority to represent. Such a person is a first amongst equals and is NOT senior. The government gets to go first on the basis of majority.

No law in democracy would render powers / authority to take a position above the common person / group that shares / delegates its powers. Hence we have the Judiciary whose power is based to higher level through intellectual pursuit coupled with belief in those who gave the world such laws.  If the Judiciary had frowned upon such opposition – one could conclude that that member of the Judiciary was ignorant. But not so a politician who represents.

Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa did not claim he was a clever leader to produce a policy that would satisfy the educated. He listened to his brother who accepted Equal position of LTTE leader – including by bribing LTTE’s eastern commander Karuna. The English media did not call that ‘unjust’ or ‘stupid’. Tamils demoted the status of Eastern branch but that was too little too late.

Article 9 has continued to be part of our constitution and has been accepted by all governments since 1972. Unlike in the case of language issue – minorities also did not show strong opposition to this. They thus confirmed the height of their intelligence as well.

The Chief Editor states:

[If the SLPP leaders believe that the incumbent President’s decisions and actions cannot be questioned or challenged simply because of his mandate, then they will have to explain why they protested against what the late Presidents J. R. Jayewardene and R. Premadasa did. They held street protests, filed court cases, and carried out malicious propaganda onslaughts against those leaders. They even went to Geneva against President Premadasa. They also campaigned against President Maithripala Sirisena and tried to oust him in spite of his mandate, didn’t they?]

When Rajapaksas protested against UNP – they did so under SLFP mandate. SLPP is a new entity and its makeup and way of living are different to SLFP. This was brought about also due to Mr Maithripala Sirisena switching his allegiance to oppose the Rajapaksas. Opposition as an equal is a sin in autocracy and a virtue in democracy. Rajapaksas practice autocracy within their own clan. This is not immoral, given that they look-after their juniors. No leader since 1972 considered it her/his duty to repeal article 9 and liberate the constitution from religious prisons.

Through one of his songs praising Lord Muruga – Tamil Saint Yoga Swami shares with us as follows:

‘Thevar Sirai Meetah Selvan Thiruvaddihal Kaaval Enakkam’/ The feet of the adorable boy who redeemed the higher thinkers (spiritual minds) from their prison (body and its pleasures) are my security.’

Every Sri Lankan who believes in Muruga gets redeemed from the prison of majority power. Sinhala Buddhists who do so are covered by the Opposition side to a Buddhist leader and v.v. Each time the Premadasa group opposes a Buddhist-looking government on the basis of belief  – its powers are added to the non-Buddhist side who have accepted junior position. That combined force toppled Mr Sirisena and paved the way for Mr Gotabaya to become president.  So long as it remains within the boundaries of the party they are safe. When it comes out to the public, there is an avenue to oppose and that was how Mrs Bandaranayake fell. Likewise Mr Sirisena. Mr Wickremesinghe fell due to his attachment to his intellectual height which is the enemy of democracy.

Mr Premadasa is a hybrid of the two and if he joins UNP and accepts Ranil as an advisor we can have the good from both worlds.

ICAC ERODING OUR WELLBEING?

This is dedicated to my father Visvalingam Navaratnam whose 111^th birth anniversary we celebrate today. The rich heritage I have from him is his belief in God. He asked for a son to carry his name and got one. The arrival was foretold at Sellasannithi Murugan temple by the priest after the Friday noon prayers at the time my mother did not know she was pregnant with my brother. I inherited my father’s family  temple through my belief in God. Today that temple in junior caste area of Thunaivi is the centre of my visible service in Sri Lanka. I have had many realisations through my dedication to that temple and the community. I believe that I earned the opportunity to serve Sri Lanka through this temple which was part of our sovereign structure.

One such belief is that we are all born sovereign. This means that the family that we are born into is also sovereign and is confirmed by its contribution to Traditional structures and/or its own truth. During the Testamentary case in relation to the Estate of my husband’s brother Subramaniam Yoganathan, his two sisters kept claiming special relationship due to biological connections. This has also surfaced in relation to our immediate past premier Ms Gladys Berejiklian – as to whether or not she ought to have declared her relationship with Daryl Maguire. As per ABC report ‘ICAC phone taps shed light on Gladys Berejiklian and Daryl Maguire's undeclared relationship’:

The commission heard her "threshold" for declaration was whether she would introduce Mr Maguire to her parents or sisters; the answer was no.

This meant that Daryl  was an invisible part of the structure – i.e. her mister / male mistress. In my cultural history that was quite common in the ruling class structure. Likewise, in the ruling branches of my family. Many of them lived in Vanni which was the area chosen by the LTTE for their Administrative Head Quarters. Rama’s father Dasarathan is reported to have had hundreds of wives/consorts. But only three of them qualified as his queens. As per my discovery – those who are outstandingly clever needed more partners than one to maintain the structure of their wealth accumulated through   cleverness and fighting skills. Thus they produced many biological children as their heirs but only the official ones had the authority to carry the throne. To my mind, this is also the reason why our queen is yet to handover the throne to Charles along the lines of Edward VIII

As an independent State, our Premier is also entitled to ‘private’ partners who would be the other side of her leadership. Given that respect for the law required her to ‘show’ only one official / lawful partner – so we the citizens would follow that structure, it was quite right that the lady did not make it ‘official’. If this lady was officially wrong – then so are many in the Royal families, including our Royal family.

Governments are known to allocate resources for  wellbeing, in their budgets. As per my discovery – the self governing person needs least from the government to maintain her/his wellbeing. The ICAC inquiry probing into our Premier’s mind has become a great loss to our immigration portfolio – especially to those of us who claim genocide in our countries of origin. I do not because I maintained my sovereignty within my family, school and work structures . Towards this, I often managed with less than the average member of my ‘home group’group. Hence I learnt to live with that which was not of my making. Now I know that the Universal power of Truth dynamically balanced the system confidentially. Those who overindulged in pleasures lost their sovereignty and downgraded themselves to lower levels towards group power which promoted herd mentality. This is built into the system of nature.

As per Wikipedia report about Ms Gladys Berejiklian’s early life:

[Her grandparents were orphaned by Turkish soldiers in the Armenian genocide in 1915. Berejiklian spoke only Armenian until she was five years old, when she began learning English. She has remained involved in the Armenian-Australian community, serving a term on the Armenian National Committee of Australia. In 2015, she attended a commemoration ceremony in Yerevan for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide]

To the extent Ms Berejiklian inherited this community structure, the lady would have needed community support to maintain her sovereign identity. Likewise, Tamils of Sri Lankan origin who rely on the Genocide claim to maintain group sovereignty. Politicians often play this role. But to naturally sustain this claim, they need also leaders within the group who have maintained their sovereignty as individuals. If Ms Berejiklian considers herself to be such a leader – she would fight to maintain that she did not do anything wrong – as per her conscience – which is that of a migrant community also.

The citizen in turn would connect to this through their own experiences in governance. In my case it was during this lady’s term that my Bank Guarantee – immorally asked for by the Courts was released. Its negative parallel in Sri Lanka was that we were labelled losers in the above mentioned Testamentary case, inquired into through the Thesawalamai Customary law – during the Political leadership of Mr C V Wigneswaran. I wrote a book on the basis of my experience . That was my declaration of independence. Now – the junior caste folks of Vaddukoddai  are rebelling against senior castes from whom they separated themselves and expect to be treated as equals. நாளை கோவில் பிரவேசம் / promo - YouTube

Mr Wigneswaran’s negative contribution is known through the building in Thunaivi opened by him – appearing in the introduction at சாதியம் / மக்கள் எழுச்சி / SATHIYAM - YouTube. During the speech – folks were asked to boycott elections – so no Tamil leader would be elected to Parliament. This confirms that in effect they are the heirs of LTTE leaders who facilitated Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa to become  President in 2005. This makes a lie of Genocide claim and confirms suicidal tendencies. In terms of Natural law – when brawn power is used excessively, the age of the body is reduced to shorter time – as in animals.  Likewise body’s ability to enjoy pleasures. One who is independent of the body tends towards eternal enjoyment through the soul. Hence belief is needed in Democracy to offset the tendency towards majority rule.
