UNIVERSITY KARMA

The report of  the President’s Media Division, was headed  ‘Preparing the university system to keep up with new technology’ was published this week. As per that report, the president recommends as follows to the Colombo University Alumni:

‘Be the leader in presenting a 10-year development plan’

Alumni are parallels of elders in a family. They carry heritage value. Did the Alumni participate in last year’s protests or did it oppose it actively?

As per Daily News article headed ‘FUTA condemns repression of Aragalaya activists’ of 30 July 2022:

The FUTA said that the illegitimate and violent attack on Gota Go Gama, the symbolic heart of the aragalaya was not accidental. It was a calculated move to strike fear into society as a whole. Immediately after this attack, the Wickremesinghe-pohottuwa government has begun a systematic campaign to delegitimise the aragalaya, hunt down the aragalaya leadership and to recreate the culture of impunity and repression that was the hallmark of the Rajapaksa style of governance.

Given that the claim was made by FUTA, did the Alumni of Colombo University publicly agree with or oppose the claim? If not, their ‘10 year plan’ would promote indifference.

Plans, like laws, facilitate common travel. They bring together our Energies. If based on truth / belief, they would naturally connect us to wider world, even if we are not aware of it. That is the way of Truth. Members of the Sri Lankan Diaspora also carry such heritage power provided they do not take benefits from their current activities. If they take benefits, the heritage value becomes relative and the member becomes senior and is no longer an Elder.

Heritage is karma. No current plan can negate negative karma. The only way out is to partner someone with positive karma and surrender totally to, that partner, all our benefits.

This is why Hindus match horoscopes to ensure that the bride and groom taken together, have positive karma. The political parallel at national level is the karma of the Government and the Opposition. Their Balance Sheets are their horoscopes. Given the switchovers in the past for then current benefits it would be very difficult to know the two sides.

New technology sans heritage would promote plagiarism, which is a sin in the University system.

SRI LANKAN SECURITY AND THE MEDIA

There are media reports of visible presence of Security in Colombo. As per today’s Island editorial:

The government had received an intelligence warning that a plot was being hatched to trigger a wave of civil disturbances, media reports said.

How is the lay reader to interpre.t it? As per our own experience based truth.

Those who protested against the Anti Terrorism Act, would consider such measures to be excessive. This includes Human Rights Watch which  published its opinion, last month, under the headline ‘ Sri Lanka: Reject New Counterterrorism Bill’

As per the Editorial ‘UNP-led UNF government sought to advance its political agenda by agreeing to a truce and allowing the LTTE to regroup and rearm to launch Eelam War IV, in the early noughties.

The mind that accepts the above , to be true, would now be fearful of LTTE resurrection. In addition, the Easter bombing tragedy is also drawn to our attention as follows:

If they had adopted extraordinary precautionary measures when a foreign intelligence agency repeatedly warned of the Easter Sunday carnage (2019), about 270 precious lives could have been saved.’

When truth is discovered, we have the solution to our problem. Until then, the true victims’ pain opposes the security measures taken by the government.

DID SRI LANKAN MEDIA FAIL IN ITS DUTY?

In a public issue various forms of true interpretations are likely to happen. Those in official positions usually enjoy the protection of the official system. In terms of the media, they have this protection provided they publish facts and their own true interpretations of facts. Where the media’s true interpretation of facts are published at the time the manifestation is in the making, the media becomes part of the causal force and therefore has its share of the manifestation.

As per my memory, during the 2022 Aragalaya the official media limited itself to reporting and did not interpret as a victim or perpetrator.  Almost a year later, the Daily Mirror has published  its interpretation in the article headed ‘The Aragalaya and conspiracies to seize power’ - https://www.dailymirror.lk/opinion/The-Aragalaya-and-conspiracies-to-seize-power/172-259136

I published my true interpretations in the belief that they would affect manifestations at that time. One such article was  on 19 July and headed ‘CORRUPT PROTESTORS EXPOSED’ - http://austms.blogspot.com/2022/07/19-july-2022-gajalakshmi-paramasivam_19.html

My article was based on the report  by Daily News at

https://www.dailynews.lk/2022/07/19/local/283297/cid-probe-reports-rs-45-mn-received-three-key-figures-galle-face-protest

The report begins as follows:

An investigation has been initiated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding claims that three social media activists who are alleged to have received Rs. 15 million each from a foreign source. The total amount received by the three activists it is alleged is Rs.45 million.

At the time the outcomes were ‘work in progress’ I added my TRUTH to the manifestation. Unless the official media had also done so at that time, it wasted its ‘right to participate in Policy making’  which is the core purpose of media freedom. It the Truth we feel, that renders us the courage to publish our truth  during or before policy is made. A true seeker would manifest our TRUTH as hers/his. That is the duty of Truth. Today when I read the report on Aragalaya conspiracies I thanked the system of Truth in which I believe. Belief based ownership ranks above money based ownership. In Sri Lanka this is confirmed through Prescription Ordinance 1872.

When we believe, the buyer and the purchaser are one. If we believe in the law, the outcome happens in one form or the other.  In terms of writing and publishing we become the writer as well as reader. In terms of Governance, we are the government and we are the people. Those Buddhists who accepted economic hardship, and downsized themselves are true Buddhists.

IMF AND NOT PARIS CLUB

In the Australian Tamil community, those  married as per religious ceremony are allocated much higher status than those living as de facto partners. One has position and the other does not. This applies to governments also. If the Sri Lankan government is recognized as the official militants are recognized as de facto governments. The parallels at international debtor-creditor relationships are the IMF and the Paris Club respectively.

‘The Paris Club was created gradually from 1956, when the first negotiation between Argentina and its public creditors took place in Paris.’ – Wikipedia.

As per yesterday’s Sunday Times report headed ‘IMF staff to meet President Wickremesinghe today’:

The delegates of the global lender will be in Sri Lanka until May 23.

Visiting as part of regular consultations ahead of the first review mission later this year, the IMF staff team will summon a press briefing on Monday evening (May 15) in Colombo, led by Krishna Srinivasan, the IMF’s Director of Asia and Pacific Department; Peter Breuer, the Asia and Pacific Department’s Senior Mission Chief for Sri Lanka; and Sarwat Jahan, the IMF Resident Representative in Sri Lanka.

The IMF staff team’s visit comes days after the first meeting of Sri Lanka’s official bilateral creditors committee, during which the island nation’s authorities formally presented a request for debt treatment. China, Saudi Arabia and Iran were in attendance as observers.

The committee, co-chaired by India, Japan and France, carries 17 members that comprise Paris Club creditors as well as other official bilateral creditors.’

As per the above report, the meeting with Paris Club happened after the Sri Lankan  parliamentary approval of the IMF agreement.

As a Tamil Diaspora elder stated about my yesterday’s article, it is about relativity. True. But relativity works naturally only within a sovereign body / entity. If this is IMF, why are Sri Lankan authorities seeking  Paris Club observation?  Have Sri Lankans separated from official structures and positions? If yes, how did this happen?

As per my experience, the more I invest in the official system, the more it supports me. From time to time, when I have to take a position ‘outside’ the official system, I ensure that it is as per my Truth, which invokes the power of Universal system. We carry with us the structure of our own Truth. It is our DNA which is bound to be different to that of any other. But when we go into our own DNA / Karma, we connect to all those who were through whom that DNA was formed. These ‘others’ have positions as Equal other sides of the true positions we invested in. They are no longer our seniors or juniors at the end of a completed relationship. The end happens when we are driven by truth and not the law.

To be valid, the law needs to connect two or more positions within the same structure. Some who are committed to a position where the other side fails go develop relationships with others who have fulfilled that other side. Then the two make up a natural relationship. Together they are Sovereign, functioning as One. If we complete both sides on our own, we become Power of One.

As per Sri Lankan government’s history, it has downsized its structure to accommodate militants. In his press meeting in April 2002, LTTE leader stated that he was open to then Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. I believe this was genuine. But taken as a whole, he had to reject any proposal under Sinhala Buddhist leadership. That was LTTE’s official mandate that underpinned its visible structure. Hence , three years later, in 2005, the LTTE opposed Ranil who demonstrated willingness to a negotiated settlement. That which was denied in 2005, became reality in 2022 through the very same clan that effectively ‘stole’ his position.

Nations that contributed to the end of the war in 2009, including India, USA & China, did so to protect their own official structures, inherited and upheld over many generations.

Paris Club does not have such a heritage that would work naturally. Institutional structures underpinned by heritage, will work naturally wherever it has a current medium. Ranil Wickremesinghe is such a medium for Sri Lanka to work the IMF agreement. Why go to a club / de facto governance when we have admitted to a global institution / official government status?

GLOBAL TAMILS, REGIONAL TAMILS OR

EELAM TAMILS?

Soon we would be consciously remembering our loved ones who died in the Sri Lankan war. As per my belief, in Common War Memorial Services, we honour those who died in the war so that we recognise that they are now Common Universal Power. Given that majority emigrants from Sri Lanka, on the reason of war are Tamils, one is entitled to conclude that Tamils ‘made’ their own compensation for the war pain. To sustain their new status, such Tamils would need to restructure their respective groups to be within their new nation’s existing structures including in government and politics. If they/we take only the truth from our old environments that truth will restructure itself in the new environment. That is the way of truth. The test is zero base start.  This means we remember no profit or loss from previous life. Truth is formless. Profits and losses have forms.

Each time we remember and act, as if it were current, we make our investment relative. This is the parallel of Sinhala only which mutated as ‘Buddhism foremost’ article in the Sri Lankan constitution. This means we do not have the absolute power of truth that spreads itself.

The email from a Senior in the  Tamil Diaspora, led me to think whether the memorial was positive or negative for the Australian Tamil Community. The subject matter of the email was ‘Good friends of Sri Lanka

The message was:

According to Sri Lankan defence ministry:  civilian casualties - zero; as per foreign intelligence   140,00 civilian deaths. Unofficial grapevine in Sri Lanka, dead and missing civilians  250,000 . Militants killed 4500 . You can ‘take it or leave it’ .

The question in the attached video clip is:

‘Which countries helped the Sri Lankan government in the Sri Lankan civilian war 2009?

The first was India, with US$ 200 million dollars worth. Next on the list was China with US$ 7 billion, USA with US$ 500 million; Pakistan with US$ 200 million, Britain with US$ 7 million….Ukraine with US$ 9.8 million; Australia with US$ 27 million…..

The clip ends with the following message:

‘All of this to asset strip Sri Lanka, to control the strategic island. Fought with your Brothers to lose the whole island to Imperialists.

This applies to both sides that took frontline positions in the armed war. Both failed to recognise any positive value from colonial rulers. Both celebrated separation as independence, under the guise of self-determination. Our investments become positive or negative heritages when there are restructures at fundamental levels. Global players, including India & China came in with their own political agendas. This would have been prevented if our own structures had been through the soul-power of  Common Truth of Tamils, or Sri Lankans who enjoyed official status of sovereignty.

The purpose of memorials is to raise our own investments to heritage level. If we remember only those who died from the Tamil side, we become Eelam Tamils living in foreign countries. If we pay our respects to our Indian heritage, we become regional Tamils. If we pay our respects to all known rulers of the past, to the extent we practice their systems in their current forms we become Global Tamils.

SRI LANKAN BUDDHA IS UNHAPPY

We contribute to common life through various pathways, including religion. Within each pathway, we contribute at various levels. Money level is the most visible level.  At this level, the two sides need to be equal to naturally become true power. The next higher level is persons. Highest is policy level where one contributes through Energy.

Yesterday, as I watched ‘Trial by fire’ based on Uphaar Cinema fire on Friday, 13 June 1997, my mind kept going to victims of the 2009 battle between the LTTE and the Sri Lankan armed forces. Later, when I searched, I learnt that the film relating to the Uphaar Cinema fire this ‘Border’ which was based on Indo-Pakistan war 1971. The theme of the film ‘Border’ and the one in my mind – the Sri Lankan war – were common.  The Sri Lankan war also was about ethnic borders based on religion.

In terms of Court processes, I identified myself through Mrs Neelam Krishnamurthy who lost both her children to the fire. Her commitment to process was effectively memorial service to those who died in the fire.

This morning when I came across the article headed ‘NCPA tells temples to prevent abuse of novice monks’ , I thought of child-soldiers recruited by the LTTE. Was that karma part of the reason for the suffering in 2009?

As per the Morning report:

The National Child Protection Authority, citing the increased incidence of assaults, physical, verbal and sexual abuse and harassment, against novice monks (samaneras) within temples, informed that it is the responsibility of the relevant clergy to take measures within the institution of the temples and their respective orders, to prevent such.

Chairman of the NCPA, Udayakumara Amarasinghe yesterday (4) said that the NCPA has already taken adequate steps against offenders who are accused of abusing novice monks in temples and has instructed the Police to take further actions if any criminal offences have been reported……..

The most recent incident which has been reported is from Pussellawa where an eight-year-old novice monk had been tortured by another two or three novice monks aged between 14 -15 years.’

As per my understanding of the system of Karma, our truth gets registered at the end of each chapter/completed experience.  Thereafter it leads us. If someone is denied their earned benefits, and that person follows due process with faith, there comes a time when Truth leads. Given that the LTTE was punished by the Sri Lankan government as ‘Terrorists’ , Truth will expose the parallels of the LTTE  weaknesses within the Buddhist system which is the direct responsibility of the government.

Buddha was a father when he renounced family life. He was not a child. Hence parents in family life have no moral authority to send their children to orphanages run my armed militants nor to monasteries.  It is the moral right of every child to be with her/his parent until 18. This law must be in the Fundamental Rights section of the Sri Lankan Constitution.

Where there is a right, there is responsibility. When the responsibility is fulfilled, it becomes moral law of that person / institution. Wherever the official system is weak, the moral law needs to be facilitated for Dharma to prevail.

FUTA & THE PRESIDENT

JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DHARMA

Today is Vesak – Lord Buddha’s birthday. I paid my respects to Lord Buddha and the full moon visible early this morning. Each time I travel to Sri Lanka, I pay my respects to Buddha through the statue in the airport building. When I leave, I say ‘thank you’.

This morning after meditation, I realised a simple solution to an equal opportunity  problem that was bugging me. I said ‘thank you’ to Buddha, because it happened today – Vesak day.  I felt blessed. Later when reading my emails, I came across one headed – ‘Yet Again! China SHOCKED Entire World With Quantum Communication Satellite Network.

I went to the site :

Yet Again! China SHOCKED Entire World With Quantum Communication Satellite Network

My attention was caught by the reference to a philosopher. The video clip the system was named ‘Chinese philosopher Mecius . But as per my  search the name was Mencius. I informed my sourceSeems like false reporting’.

Taking s stand on such global issues is important to us, to work our own global systems.  Often our National heritages drive us from within. It is therefore understandable that the President would attend the Royal ceremony in the UK where may leaders of Nations that were once part of the British empire will be present.  To the extent we separated we lose the heritage value of the West. To the extent we consider British governance as part of our heritage, we continue to be shareholders and hence are entitled to share in their status. That is our natural right. That is how I view our Australian PM’s participation in the coronation ceremony, which confirms our investment in those autocratic systems. Whenever there is a restructure, our true investments in the old system become heritages. Hence we hold memorial services to keep their Energies active. Heritages lead us.

As per Daily Mirror FUTA was finding fault with the Sri Lankan president for attending the Royal ceremony, without addressing local issues regarding University Entrance exams. Their irritation is indicated by the following report by News 1st  last year -  at https://www.newsfirst.lk/2022/07/29/futa-condemns-the-repression-of-aragalaya-activists/

The Federation of University Teachers (FUTA) unreservedly condemned the repression of aragalaya activists by the current regime led by President Ranil Wickremasinghe

Mr Wickremesinghe is the part of autocratic leadership of Sri Lanka. He was NOT elected by the People to this autocratic position. In 2005 he had truly eared that position but did not get it due to Tamil votes being ‘blocked’ by the LTTE. This ‘loss’ made him a Natural Opposition of Autocratic leadership of armed leadership, in the system of Dharma/ Righteousness. They say about the human system ‘Justice delayed is justice denied’ .  But in the system of Dharma based on Truth, Justice delayed is Justice Dharma/ Universal. Hence the saying ‘Man proposes, god disposes’. FUTA would do well to learn from the experience of Royal Holloway, University of London re the power of the painting Man proposes, god disposes’

It is well-documented that students at Royal Holloway believe the painting to be cursed or haunted. A legend among students dating back to at least around the 1920s or 1930s, and still held in the 1960s, was that anyone sitting in front of the painting during an exam would fail it. A college tradition requires temporarily covering the painting with a Union Jack when student examinations are ongoing This is due to an incident during the 1970s where an exam invigilator hurriedly covered the painting with the first thing they could find that would be large enough, as a student refused to sit their exam by the uncovered painting.

The legend of bad luck later developed into an urban myth that a student taking exams had killed themselves after looking at the painting, writing "The polar bears made me do it" onto their exam paper. There is, however, no university record of a death in the picture gallery. The college's curator said in a 2014 interview that "I've heard it was a girl, I've heard it was a boy, I've heard about three [different] ways that they killed themselves."
