Sri
Lanka got Freedom and not Independence
As
a feeling Sri Lankan, I feel that the Island is looking for ‘Freedom’ based
popularity and seems to be influencing more and more, the removal of the Hon
Ranil Wickremesinghe as the CEO of the Government. The following for example
was published through the report ‘No-faith motion against PM to be moved shortly’ :
The
JVP last week said that it was ready to support the proposed no-confidence
motion against Prime Minister Wickremesinghe. JVP Leader Anura Kumara
Dissanayake, addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in
Pelawatte said: "We are ready to back the motion if it contains specific
sections against the prime minister on frauds and corruption, protecting the
thieves and failing to carry out the duties of the office of the PM. But, if the
motion is the outcome of a political dogfight then we will have to examine the
political motives of those behind the move. In any case we need to read the
content of the motion before making a final decision. It is our belief that the
Prime Minister should go home or be removed over the bond scams."
It is understandable that the JVP with is origin in
‘Freedom Fighting’ would lean towards ‘freedom’ than demonstrate Independence.
Unless a political party has within itself a person who can step into that position
of Prime Minister and do a better job than the Hon Ranil Wicremesinghe has
done, the party has no moral authority to discuss the merits of the current
occupant in a political group that the Parliament is. To do so in the current
climate where the previous CEO – Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa has been unpunished for
his direct excesses – would be to condemn Sri Lanka to the dungeons of Public
Administration.
If we truly earned Independence from British rule –
and we celebrate that Independence on 04 February, we would now appreciate that
when an Independent body divides internally – for operational purposes – it
would divide into Equal halves, along the lateral plane. It is this lateral
division that is represented through Government and Opposition of Equal status
in Democracy.
When the internal division is vertical/hierarchical
– the total of the position values need to be 100% - i.e. the same as that of
the total. Then the body creates itself through exponential power. If the total
value of the positions is greater than the total value of the whole, the body
would tend towards invasion.
We lose our own independence when we invade others
or when others invade us. Hence our ancestors discovered the value of sacrifice
which effectively is to transfer to ‘Reserve’ when we make profits in ‘position
values’. These Reserves are of heritage value and would cause imbalance if
invoked without respect by juniors. I have found this to happen at the
workplace especially here in Australia. Happens frequently times in families especially those that
prematurely migrate for economic reasons. We have many such families within
both sides of the ethnic divide in Sri Lanka. The Rajapaksa family is one
extreme example of this.
The tables below demonstrate the various
combinations of Autocracy and Democracy, based on the acceptable value of 300
units in global measures, for the whole
to be self-sufficient and therefore independent.

The recent demonstration in Melbourne, Australia by
Sinhalese who took Government position and claimed that the LTTE was the most
brutal terrorist organization in the world is of the category ‘Invasion by juniors/militants’.
The
2009 war in which Government forces used excessive power over a diverse
cultural group is ‘Invasion by
seniors/governments’. The 1983 Communal riots during which Tamils were
isolated and attacked brutally was Invasion by the whole.
The
protests in North as reported by ‘Ceylon today’, on 05 March, indicate
reactionary approach:
[ A mass
demonstration was held yesterday in protest against the attacks carried out on
Hindu places of worship in various parts in the Northern Province.
Several Hindu organizations, Hindu
religious leaders and representatives of various temples had participated in
the demonstration, carrying the Nanthi (Bull) flag, the symbol of Hinduism.
Hundreds of Hindus chanted slogans against the attacks on Hindu places of worship and called upon the government to prevent such attacks.]

To
my mind, Nanthi represents the philosophy of - Pathi, (Lord of animals) Pasu,
(Cow) Paasam (Affection) ; Desire, Love
& Affection; Body, Soul and Mind; Politics, Governance and Administration. Affection
is a combination of desire and love. On
that basis I ask the question as to which the above group is representing –
Pathi or Pasu?
If
they were self-governing, they would have drawn on the resources of the University
of Jaffna and presented their case to the University Council.
As
per my involvement with the University of Jaffna – which also carries the Guru
/ Nanthi Logo indicating that one needs to seek and find the Truth through
Higher Education, they are also at Pathi / Political stage. If this University
in Northern Province is suffering from ‘lust’
as presented by the media and the unlawful disciplinary actions based on alleged
sexual misconduct, then that flag carried by the educated Hindus in that group
represents lust. Since the group is calling upon outside help beyond the
Provincial Government – but through the Provincial Government, one has to
conclude that this group has no faith in
the University of Jaffna’s power to cure this problem – through Pasu / Wisdom. Hence majority power is being sought to ‘win’.
This means that to them, Mr Wigneswaran is Pathi the Bull that reproduces laterally /
physically and not Pasu the Holy Cow with Absolute Ownership Energy.
They
say ‘Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely’. Each one would correctly interpret as
per their own true needs. The way I interpret it is :
when
we cross the borders of our earned Sovereignty, we are taken over by forces
that have Absolute power – meaning they function Independently as per the
science of Nature. On the other hand, Independence as Absolute / Natural force,
when saved /reserved after exercising within our position borders on the basis of need – raises us to be part of wider world. I
learnt this through my book Naan Australian which found a home in the National
Library of Australia, followed by the National Library of Sri Lanka, without
any effort on my part or a pathway that was visible to me. I therefore conclude
that Absolute Ownership Purifies Absolutely. Independence is Absolute
Ownership.
Freedom is lateral power.
On 04 February every year since 1948, some
Sri Lankans celebrate Freedom. They therefore reproduce freedom fighters. When
such celebrations are greater than the net value of the damage through British
rule, the person, group that so
celebrates is developing invasion genes. It’s good that Tamil National Alliance
quietly stayed away from such celebrations this year. That would quietly heal
our internal wounds caused by excessive freedom taken by Juniors – as shown
under ‘Invasion by juniors/militants’ in the tables above.
Lord
Buddha realized Absolute Ownership. Some Sri Lankan Buddhist leaders have
downgraded this to ‘Unlimited Freedom’ which naturally corrupts.
