HINDU MUSLIM UNITY IN THE UK

The strength of democracy is in Equal Opposition. The Opposition is the parallel of Shakthi – the Equal half of Shiva. During the time of Gandhi, India successfully achieved the right to self-determination. But due to the leadership by political leaders like Jinnah, Pakistan was born.

The parallel of that happened in Ceylon a bit later, with the Sinhala only language policy by the majority race. Both were declarations of ‘insecurity’. The Sri Lankan fear was due to majority power of Tamils close to Tamil Nadu. Both were driven by desire for unearned power. This usually happens at family level when children ‘think’ they are entitled to parents wealth, even when they do not believe in their parents.

The parent in the case of both nations was Britain. Had British heritage  been valued by the newly independent nations, they would have not experienced separation pains. Physical separation without settling our debt to our parents who groomed us, leads to mental separation from the heritage value that is a positive exponential value. Such values are independent forces that are beyond our controls. They naturally generate their own Opposite side at the physical level.

In the case of Sri Lanka, when we disconnected with the British heritage by ‘showing’ majority power, it generated also its equal Opposition. So long as common Sri Lankan power was stronger than individual community power, Sri Lanka became the parent of  all communities. When Sinhalese declared and used majority power before using common law, it generated natural separation between minorities who felt they were Sri Lankans.

There is a difference between those who believe they are Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslims or Burghers and those who believe they are Sri Lankans. The former, when they oppose majority are limited to linear power. The latter when separated become exponential power. That was how Tamils became Equal Opposition in national Parliament in 1977.  In 2015 Tamils became Equal Opposition in National Parliament when the leading members of the SLFP crossed over to join UNP to form Common leadership. To the extent there was  Common  Sri Lankan leadership  in UNP this crossover elevated the power to the higher level than the parties that were strongly supported by Sinhala only supporters.

In his presentation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkk2U8ebUHc Mr Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam states that the Western countries led by the USA  are against Tamil Eelam because they failed to vote for Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe in 2005. Given that it was the LTTE that prevented Tamils from voting, one is entitled to conclude that they were against any group that obstructed free and fair elections. Had they not marked the LTTE wrong, they themselves would have lost credibility as leaders in democracy. If instead, Mr Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam had disciplined his side confidentially,  Tamil nationalists in Sri Lanka would have progressed to become global citizens through Tamil Nationalism.

This applies also to Scots who seek separation without belief in global powers that brought Mr Humza Yousuf to lead Scotland and Mr Rishi Sunak to lead the United Kingdom. So long as they respect their origins as Heritages, they would be divine Universal powers that would come to support them. Once we use them for current purposes, they are no longer heritages and they lose their exponentiality. Tamils of Sri Lanka who believe in our ancient law of Thesawalamai would recognise this deeper value as Muthusum. Mr Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam’s Muthusum is from his grandfather who was Sri Lankan Tamil who fought for Equal status for all minorities and not separate state for Tamils.
