MOTHER
MARY & DR SENARATNE
[The
mystery of the perpetual virginity of Mary, that is, her remaining a virgin
before, during and after the birth of Jesus, and the divine incarnation are
intimately interlinked. As Saint Augustine of Hippo enumerates; Mary
"remained a virgin in conceiving her son, a virgin in giving birth to him,
a virgin in carrying him, a virgin in nursing him at her breast, always a
virgin." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 510).]Island article Namo Mariyani: The crucial role of our Blessed
Mother by Professor Anton Meemana
The
Hindu parallel of the above is Shakthi / Energy. God is presented as male form and Energy / Holy Spirit is presented
as female. As per my mind, every person who sustains a family through personal
sacrifices develops Energy / Mother power in her / him.
So,
how does this Mother power work? In the context of Sri Lanka – I experienced
this Mother Power through the Ministry of Health. In 2009, I went to the Health
Ministry, many times to get clearance to be with the folks in the camps. Despite
the deservedness I had, I was sent to and fro and was even told ‘don’t go there
and ask for separate state’ by the officer approving. At that time I prayed to
Lord Buddha to facilitate me and my prayers were answered. Through my forbearance
- I accumulated Mother Energy. This I
believe was how Gandhi also worked the system.
In
2016, when temporary workers – war widows and single mothers- needed help in relation their jobs, I led them
to the same Ministry of Health. All in their group were confirmed in their
positions under the leadership of Minister - Dr Rajitha Senaratne. The leader of that group is
a Catholic and the lady stated that she had submitted the problem to Our Lady.
Given that I also believe in Our Lady – to the extent this young single mother had
a need – to present their case – that case became common through our belief in
Our Lady. To my mind, this belief extends to leadership of Heath Ministry also,
unless we block its passage.
Hence
the reports regarding arrest warrant
against Dr Rajitha Senaratne for
influencing the Press through ‘White Van’ comments are disturbing and make
mockery of ‘Terrorism’ charges against LTTE. The real protection against LTTE
led actions is in the minds of Tamils who have included the LTTE as part of
themselves. Once Karuna – the Eastern Province leader of the LTTE was included
as part of the Rajapaksa government – the government had no moral authority to accuse and punish anyone under
the rank Karuna held in LTTE. This left only Velupillai Prabakaran who died a
hero. By continuing to refer to the LTTE as Terrorists – it was the government
that invoked the ghost of terrorism. Like Pranic Healing which works on the
basis of Energy, militant negatives can also be naturally healed through positive
Energy developed by those who are strongly committed to the common law of the
whole. Relative to the accusations against the LTTE – the problem identified
with Dr Rajitha Senaratne, even if true, seems trivial.
The
Government is wasting Public Resources on trivial pursuits, while the nation is
being ‘told’ that there is a Terrorism threat. Every current Sri Lankan with
positive Energy / Mother Power - has the power to invoke natural Energies to
cure diseases in fellow Sri Lankans. Given
that Dr Rajitha Senaratne is a Buddhist –
and the current Government led by President Rajapaksa is also declared to be Buddhist
– one should not need secular law to confidentially cure a Buddhist. Such
arrests confirm the falsity of the current government. If Due Processes are
breached in the push – the whole system of Public Administration is damaged and
junior officers copy the pattern right down the line.
Dr
Senaratne is protected by those mothers who needed confirmations in their jobs
to groom their children to become like themselves. By facilitating it Dr
Senaratne became the mother of these mothers. Such connections are beyond our
conscious logic and yet they have perfect logic. Damaging that natural link
would cause serious harm to the government’s relationship with the Common
Citizen of North.
