HORSE TRADING IN VISAS
Recently, I stated about birthday present to our eldest granddaughter, that we needed to make sure that we would be
able to do likewise to all our grandchildren. That apparent Equality is important
in a Democratic structure. This begins with seniors ‘showing’ equality at the
primary level of distribution. One who is committed to Equal Opportunity at tertiary
(policy) level will naturally demonstrate this at primary distribution level.
The root of this is in Truth as per our conscience. When this happens
at the primary voter-level it would naturally travel to the policy level
through the person we vote for and v.v.
Democracy is based on this pathway that Truth takes from citizen to governor.
Autocracy is based on this passage from senior /governor to junior /citizen.
In democracy – governance by majority needs to maintain this Equality
at primary level, at all times. Hence Equal status to Opposition in Parliament.
But for this to be true, - the
Opposition side needs to be more intellectually driven than the common member
of the government or in her/his mind
take ‘junior’ position to the Common member of the government. When one takes
junior position, one connects to the mind of senior and hence is able to access
the ‘intelligence’. The example that comes to mind is that of Ekalavyan who
learnt from a guru to whom he was invisible. Wikipedia presents the legend as
follows:
[One day
when Drona and his students were going out into the forest, Arjuna saw a dog
that was unable to bark due to an amazing construction of arrows in and all
around his mouth. This construction was harmless to the dog but prevented the
dog from barking. Drona was amazed but also distressed: as he had promised
Arjuna that he would make him the greatest archer in the world. Wondering who
such a fine archer could be, Drona and his students investigated and came upon
Ekalavya. Upon seeing Drona, Ekalavya came and bowed to him.
Drona asked Ekalavya where he had learned archery. Ekalavya replied
"under you, Guruji", and showed Drona his statue while
explaining what he had done. Drona then reminded Ekalavya that to truly be
Drona's pupil, Ekalavya would have to pay guru dakshina. Readily, Ekalavya offers to do anything for Drona.Thereby, Drona asks Ekalavya to
cut off his right thumb as Guru Dakshina. Happy and smiling, Ekalavya cuts off
the thumb and presents it as Gurudakshina to Dronacharya]
In Democratic
Politics, the junior who has to ‘show’ equality – is facilitated to produce her/his law / theory at her/his
level. Hence freedom of speech including to the ‘citizen’. This would work only if that junior expresses
her/his truth. The truth spreads itself exponentially and hence gets more followers
than an apparent senior.
Our Australian elections 2022 – confirmed how this worked to defeat Labor
Senator Kristina Kenneally who demonstrated special treatment for a Sri Lankan
Tamil family .
[About 11pm on election night in the central Queensland town of Biloela, Angela Fredericks phoned her
absent friend.
“Priya,
you are coming home,” she said.
But that came as loss of seat in an election defeat of Labor’s immigration spokesperson, Ms
Kristina Kenneally .
As per my intuitive intelligence of Sri Lankan refugees, I did not
identify with the any special need for the above family – relative to their
parallels in Sri Lanka. When I observed Ms Keneally identifying herself with the above family, I
declared it to be ‘false’ through my regular communications. There were
responses from within the Australian Tamil community – to strengthen the value
of this Opposition. But the ‘package’ by Ms Angela Fredericks seems to have been more attractive to Ms Keneally - as confirmed by the photos published in local
news.
That elevation lacked the belief in the need of the Common Current Refugee
– seeking asylum in Australia.
If indeed Ms Keneally got the votes of Sri Lankan Tamil community in
NSW who liked the projected outcome, the self balancing system of Dharma, would
automatically bring on the curse of other more deserving refugee applicants who
were waiting in the queue. At the deeper level, if there are prisoners of war
still suffering in Sri Lankan prisons and the government of Australia or its
Opposition, has not Opposed it – then such special treatment, effectively becomes
a political quid pro quo with the Tamil community here in Australia. If the
strength of genuine Belief-based Opposition to this stronger than the Political
power of the ‘special-treatment’ – then the leader gets demoted by the belief
of such citizens. That is how true and direct democracy works.
Many countries that have liberal refugee policies facilitate such quid
pro quos that are used by politicians.
This morning a pro-LTTE American Tamil wrote:

problem now is gas for cooking, a pig in their cramped up prison! A pig
in their cramped-up prison? !! "What the hell are you talking about?"
I hear you...I hear you. You should ask Drawf Fox Ranil and the evil fox
Gota to explain their Porcine Theory. How did they unleash the Porcine Concept?
A deliberate and artificial shortage of Propane gas and Petrol.]
