THE ANCESTRAL PROTESTOR

[I voted for Gotabaya Rajapaksa like millions of other people. I went to the protests to make up for the wrong decision I made," Wimukthi said.] Sri Lanka's protest movement toppled a president. Then came the crackdown by ABC Australia

Can the outcome of a lawful voting process be reversed by mere protests? The answer as per my mind is ‘NO’. The reversing force needs to be equal or stronger in strength. This requires the Protests to be continuous and uninterrupted over a period longer than the period for which a government is elected through lawful process. This is the way of Prescriptive Rights which are Natural Rights of Belief.

When elections were held through lawful process, the outcome has the blessings of those from whom we inherited the laws and processes that regulate democratic elections. To effectively oppose that outcome, the causal forces of the Protests have to be stronger than the forces that produced the Election outcomes. Hence the longer uninterrupted period.

This morning, I shared as follows in this regard:

As shared through most of my articles – expressly or in spirit, belief renders us the natural entitlement to represent. This is the basis of our franchise to participate in Public affairs. In Sri Lanka and Australia, it begins at 18, with voting right to elect a government. Some of us extend it to other forms – including protesting through our writings – as I often do, Peaceful Assembly etc.

Those who voted for Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, confirmed his leadership in defeating Tamil Armed Rebels in 2009. They effectively endorsed his leadership in this regard.  Tamils were left to themselves to mourn the pain and loss that the community suffered. Ten years later, the LTTE resurrected itself as Easter Bombers in April 2019. This was confirmed by the Commonness in their pathways.

The UNP candidate in the 2019 Presidential Elections, was NOT Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe but Mr Sajith Premadasa. The Samagi Jana Balawegaya - United People's Power,  was formed as a breakaway party by Mr Sajith Premadasa, in 2020. This in turn made Mr Wickremesinghe the parallel of the Queen. That is how the forces of truth have worked.

The protestors who Opposed military rule contributed to this outcome. Not so those who endorsed unregulated de facto military action against rebels. Protests take many forms. Belief based protests in the mind of a true owner is the Power of One. It spreads Itself exponentially. It invokes also the ancestral powers of  Legitimate Opposition in Parliament.

When the power of belief of current protestors is weaker than the power of those who are committed to lawful processes – one is able to successfully invoke ancestral powers, against Protestors also. Hence memorials to strengthen ancestral powers. Ms Kumaratunga invoked this power in 2015 Presidential elections through which Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa was defeated. True powers of previous rule become ancestral powers that work exponentially when their heirs are in need. Hence in Hinduism, one settles Pithur kadan/Ancestral Debt through ceremonies at particular places like Keerimalai in Northern Sri Lanka.

Mr Sirisena through whom that power worked in 2015, made it negative in 2018, when he replaced Mr Wickremesinghe with Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa as PM.  There were no People’s  protests against this.

Truth ultimately delivers as per our belief. As per my belief, it was the Crown / Ancestral Power of Sri Lanka that toppled the President and the Protestor group became Its  medium.
