Culture v Common Law – Australia & Sri Lanka

Yesterday, I was asked by SBS Tamil Radio for my views on the Lamb advertisement by Meat and Livestock Australia, which included Lord Ganesh at the dinner table which promoted lamb. There has been significant objections to showing Lord Ganesh as promoter of lamb by Livestock Australia. Those who objected genuinely, would invest more deeply in multicultural Australia. My expressions included my view that such seemed to be in breach of Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975. Many of my actions against the higher authorities to whom I seemed insignificant were based on the above legislation.

There was however very little public protest from the Hindu Diaspora when the report that the Sri Lankan Armed Forces pulled the Hindu Chariot in the village of Atchuveli in Northern Sri Lanka. To my mind, the Sri Lankan Armed Forces who are not likely include any Hindus – are the parallel of Livestock Australia – both enforcing their services by failing to follow the laws of ‘promotion’.

As stated through the SBS – as a Common Australian, I felt ashamed of such conduct on the part of fellow Australians. One who is already Common would have been advised by that commonness to not hurt other cultures to whom vegetarianism is the higher pathway. As stated, this inclusion of Lord Ganesh confirms lack of Common sense – that the elephant  is vegetarian. Likewise, in the case of Sri Lankan soldiers – the opportunity to pull the chariot is reserved for those with belief in Hindu culture particular to that part of Sri Lanka. It’s a natural entitlement which has been protected by the Constitution as follows:

10. Every person is entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including the freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice.

14. (1) Every citizen is entitled to -  (e) the freedom, either by himself or in association with others, and either in public or in private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice or teaching;

9. The Republic of Sri Lanka shall give to Buddhism the foremost place and accordingly it shall be the duty of the State to protect and foster the Buddha Sasana, while assuring to all religions the rights granted by Articles 10 and 14(1)(e).

Lamb is generic food. Likewise, visible order at a place. Religions are particular and their orders when hijacked by those who seem to have power at that place – usually due to them being in management at that place at that time, lead to disorder in terms of the whole. As per my knowledge meat eating is not prohibited by Hindu laws. Vegetarianism is promoted due to its influence on development of higher mind structure – especially by those who have to forego sensual pleasures already known to them. I myself was a meat-eater until I went through the pain of being rejected and punished  by Central authorities of the University of NSW for doing my job as per the stated purpose for which I was recruited. As per Hindu religious pathway – I forewent immediate pleasures – including food pleasures – and this helped me focus on my own Truth and find my own inner Peace. Manifestation of Holy Powder on 05 November 1998, on a picture of religious believe on the day Sydney Morning Herald published the report confirming that I was right in my own criticism needed to eliminate disorder and bring about new order – confirmed to me that natural forces come to those who have been let down by their environment despite their true ‘service’. I gradually learnt that every stroke of work performed by me with belief in the system that I was supporting and was being supported by – is valuable and when the custodians of the system fail to recognise it – Natural Forces support bring the support needed. They are miracles. The following passage from the book that I am currently writing highlights this:

‘To my mind, where our base is strong we would use the law that flows from that Truth as a causal Energy  and would belong in Management. Where our belief in the base is weak, we would tend to be driven by outcomes/effects and hence belong in the group being ‘Managed’ by the above group driven by causal forces. When the two forces are equal at that place within a particular period, that group becomes self-managing Sovereign group. It is understandable that Tamils of Sri Lanka, with such a strong management force within themselves,  would reject  laws that they did not identify with as being true and if accepted would have diluted the Sovereign value of Tamils as a community.’

Livestock Australia may not have intended to offend. But the advertisement confirms an attitude that they were managing rather than being managed. Those attitudes are like genes that influence from within for better or for worse. As reported by the Australian media – this is not the first time that Livestock Australia has offended minority groups. Nor is the first time that members of majority have demonstrated lack of commitment to section 18C of the Racial discrimination Act 1975. To me it is no coincidence that my mind connected both to the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka. I state in the April 2017 article referred to above:

[In Sri Lanka, Disabled Soldiers are claiming that they were doing their jobs and were not driven by patriotism when they fought against the Tamil Tigers. Sunday Leader article ‘Disabled Soldiers Demand An Urgent Solution’.  If  the soldiers believed that they were fighting to protect the Sovereignty of Sri Lanka – that alone would have been sufficient reward for their efforts. By demanding disability pension, they are confirming that they were in the war for a job. ]

The simple rule therefore is that when Causal Force is recognized – the side driven by outcomes/effects  must submit to being managed,  to prevent Conflict which if not prevented would feed the minds that are looking for a fight. On that note one needs to ask whether it was just and fair to list LTTE as Terrorists and empower  the Sri Lankan Army merely doing a job under subjective forces – to kill those alleged  Terrorists through international resources obtained for that purpose? The Sri Lankan Armed forces are not committed to the law through their belief. Hence they lack the authority to  administer other cultures. At best they could facilitate other cultures to manage themselves. This  has been my approach as an Australian working in Thunaivi – where the folks are largely ignorant of the law and have disconnected themselves with the higher thinkers, due to handouts.

To include Lord Ganesh in a meat promotion is as offensive as including Virgin Mary who went through much pain and anxiety to give birth to Jesus, as promoting gay relationships. A A strong LTTE supporter said to me that it was a sin to kill the lambs as they also had families. I then asked the lady – whether she agreed that LTTE who tortured and killed their enemies – especially civilians - were also sinners?

Each leadership has its time and place and when taken out of context for lesser purposes demeans the user. Pleasure oriented enjoyment is animalistic even when it is taken through vegetarianism for the purpose of status within Hindu community or fighting in the name of independence by torturing. Even Meat when offered  by sacrificing our own taste pleasure (as Saint Kannappar did) is sacred food. It’s mixing Lord Ganesh who is worshipped as the leader of Intellectual pathway – to promote lamb that was wrong due to ignorance of the Philosophy underpinning Lord Ganesh form.
