Sri Lanka’s Ravana 1 and China’s new Silk Road
At least some young Sri Lankans seem
interested in Artificial Intelligence. As per common Lankan culture – as well
as Australian Indigenous culture one needs to seek the blessings of ancestors
of the land which holds the karmic powers of the past owners of that land.
Prescriptive land rights are also based on such powers. To my mind such
blessings are part of the Spiritual ownership which confirms Universal power.
The Spiritual power of Artificial Intelligence
(AI) is confirmed as follows by Wikipedia:
Modern
machine capabilities generally classified as AI include successfully understanding human speech, competing
at the highest level in strategic
game systems (such as chess and Go)
Since I did not have knowledge of ‘Go’ I looked it
up:
[Go is
an abstract strategy board game for
two players, in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent.
The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the
oldest board game continuously played to the present day. A 2016 survey by
the International Go Federation's 75 member
nations found that there are over 46 million people worldwide who know how to
play Go and over 20 million current players, the majority of whom live in East Asia]
Then came the question in my mind, whether Chess was
of Indian origin. Wikipedia confirmed as follows:
[Chess is
a two-player strategy board game played on a checkered board
with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 grid. Played by millions of people
worldwide, chess is believed to be derived from the Indian game chaturanga sometime
before the 7th century. Chaturanga is also the likely ancestor of
the East Asian strategy
games xiangqi (Chinese
chess), janggi (Korean
chess), and shogi (Japanese
chess). Chess reached Europe by the 9th century, due to the Umayyad conquest of Hispania. The pieces
assumed their current properties in Spain in the late 15th century, and
the modern rules were standardized in the 19th century.]
The oldest known origin is important to those who
believe in Ancestral powers.
According to Indian news reporters, Sri Lankan
government seems to be doing the
parallel of China’s Belt & Road Initiative in the sky:
The Hindu - Sri Lanka to research
“Ravana’s aviation routes”
[In a recent newspaper advertisement
in Sinhala, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has sought any relevant
documents and literature from the public, asking them to contact an email ID
and phone number to research the topic “King Ravana and the ancient domination
of aerial routes now lost”.]
Wionews - Sri Lankan govt claims Ravana was
the world's first aviator
[According to the Sri Lankan government, Ravana was the world's
first aviator and he first ever person to fly. In Hindu mythology, Ravana
was the demon king of Sri Lanka, symbol of evil. In Lankan mythology, he is
considered a great ruler and symbol of scholarly excellence. There are many
layers to this, but this is the most simplistic perception.
In both the versions, Ravana flew to India some 5,000 years ago. The line
between mythology and history has often been blurred. Now the Lanka government
wants to understand the methods used by Ravana to fly in ancient times. It
wants to conduct in-depth research on this subject. So the Lankan Civil
Aviation Authority has come up with an idea and has made an open call to the
Sri Lankan public. A request to submit any literature or paraphernalia that
suggests the existence of flying machines during Ravana's reign]
To one with belief Ramayanam
is a Spiritual legend. To one without belief it is mythology.
Rama did not refer to
Ravana as a demon king. After defeating Ravana in battle – Rama bade younger
brother Lakshmana to receive advice from Ravana who was a wise man. Also about
Lanka:
Pushpaka
Vimana of Ravana
Rama tells Lakshmana, as they fly
over Lanka in the Pushpaka Vimana, after the victory over
Ravana:
Lanka shines on the earth
Studded with many Vimana
As if it is the capital of Vishnu
Covered with white clouds.
Valmiki Ramayana, Yuddha Khanda, Sarga 20]
As shared previously, I believe that I was blessed
by Lord Muruga to participate in the development of AirLanka. I was waiting to
go overseas and a holy person from Thiruketheeswaram said to me at the home of
my aunt Padma Sanmugarajah – that like Murugan I was going to fly around the
world on the Peacock. I had applied for a position but was not confident of
getting one. I did win a position and I believe firmly that the blessing was
the Spiritual Intelligence that directed me and also saved me from being there
when Air Lanka became Sri Lankan Airlines.
The internal magazine of AirLanka was named by employees as Monara – peacock.
Dr Hari presents the commonness as follows:
Dandu Monara Vimana
The one other well
mentioned Vimana that was used by Ravana, is Dandu
Monara. In the local Sinhalese language. Monara means Mayura, peacock and Dandu
Monara means “that
which can fly resembling a peacock”.

The story
of Ravana flying in Vimana with his wife Mandodari is etched as the insignia in the
most famous hotel, Galle Face Hotel of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Plagiarism is prohibited in education due to it
robbing the structure and spirit of the original discoverer or maker.
Attributing credit to that origin from whom we learnt is to seek their
blessings which when received and accepted resides as Spiritual Intelligence common
to both. The guru is empowered by the enthusiasm of the disciple and the
disciple by the Spiritual Intelligence
of the guru.
According to Drs Hari, Hindu King Ravana – had six airports – Landing Hills
– which strongly indicate connection to Lord Muruga Who has six Hilltop temples
as His Homes. Dr Hari presents as follows:
Ravana had many Vimana in his aero
plane hangar. In fact, Ravana had six airports in his kingdom of Lanka. They
being,
1. Weragantota in Mahiyangana -In the Sinhalese language, this
word means a place for an aircraft to land.
Epic Sri Lanka
Holidays presents it as follows: [Another one of the
famous sites in the Ramayana legend, Weragantota is the first location King
Ravana brought Sita in his ‘Vimana’ – his flying chariot. Thus, the reason
Weragantota translates to ‘place of aircraft landing’. According to the legend
it was a spectacular area with flowing waterfalls and streams.]
2. Thotupola Kanda at Hoton Plains–The word Thotupola means a port, a
place that one touches during one’s journey. Kanda means rock.
Thotupola Kanda is a flat land over a rocky range at a height of 6000 feet from
sea level. So this means that it could only have been a port of call for a
transport vehicle that could travel in air. So it must have been an airport and
not a sea port. The present airport of Sri Lanka at Colombo, is called Videsha
Bandaranayake Guwan Thotupola in Sinhala where again Guwan means air and Thotupola means port.
[Totapolakanda has the meaning of ‘Landing Site’ in Sinhala language which related to a legend of Rama and Ravana. According to the
legend, King of India, Rama and his
beautiful wife Sita lived in
exile in the jungle. Once Ravana kidnapped Rama’s wife Sita and escaped
to Sri Lanka. On the way to Sri Lanka plane first
landed in Totapolakanda which has the meaning of landing site.] – Wikipedia

Usangoda on the southern coast
[Ussangoda National Park is a Sri Lankan national park and designated archaeological site, situated on the Colombo – Kataragama road near Ambalantota – Nonagama Junction in Hambantota District. It is located in the southern sea turtle breeding zones.
Ussangoda is a patch of high ground by the sea and spreads over a significant
area. Unlike the rest of the land surrounding, it is only covered with grass
and a few pockets of pigmy forests. The summit of Ussangoda area pans like a
plateau for a significant length. There are several legends related to
the area. The site is considered a sacred/forbidden ground for general affairs
in local lore. One popular belief is that Ussangoda is a ground of the local
demi-god "Mangara". Other beliefs range from religiously rooted
backgrounds to the unwritten/alternate history related to Ravana. According to
Hindu puranas, Ussangoda was one of the landing strips of Ravana's Pushpaka
vimana]- Wikipedia
Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is
in this area. According to Wikipedia It has been called "The World's Emptiest International Airport”
4.
Wariyapola in
Kurunegala
[Wariyapola is a
town in the Kurunegala District, North Western province, Sri Lanka.
Wariyapola is 94 metres (308 ft) above the sea level.
Wariyapola in Sinhalese
means “place for plane landing”, and is believed to be one of the landing sites
of Ravana’s
chariot or vimana, Dandu Monara Yanthraya]
Wikipedia
5. Wariyapola in Matale – the word Wariyapola is
said to have been derived from Watha-ri-ya-pola meaning
place for landing and takeoff of aircrafts.
6.
Gurulupotha in Mahiyangana – the word Gurulupotha in
Sinhalese means parts of birds, indicating this to be an aircraft hangar or
repair centre.
[Legend of Sita Kotuwa
Ramayana facts
Sri Lanka states that the city of Lankapura once stood in these jungles. The
city had a beautiful palace for queen Mandothari surrounded by waterfalls,
streams and varieties of flora. According to the Ramayana trail Sri Lanka ,
this was the place where Sita devi was first kept until she was moved to Ashok
Vatika. The remains that are found are the remnants of later civilizations .
The name Sita Kotuwa means "Sita's fortress" connects it to the
Ramayana the epic story and got its name because of Sita Devi’s stay here.
According to
the Ramayana Sri Lanka facts it is also believed that there was an aircraft
repair center in the capital city of King Ravana. In Valmiki’s depiction King
Ravana’s Vimana resembled a huge peacock. The Vimana in Sinhala language means
Dhandu Monara which is known as flying peacock, and hence the name Gurulupotha,
which means parts of birds.] Ceylon Expeditions
King Ravana’s time predates Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
King Ravana was also a Shiva devotee. Muruga is the son of Shiva. Both are
Hindus and Hinduism in Lanka predates Buddhism in Lanka. Hence so long as
Buddhism is stated as the foremost religion in Sri Lanka – any endeavours on
the basis of prior heritages would not work for the government that has the
DUTY to demonstrate its Buddhist heritage. Non Buddhists – and in this instance
Hindus would make the Lanka shine as if it were the Capital of Lord Vishnu Who as
Lord Balaji / Venkateshwarar is believed to be the Lord of Economic prosperity.
Each divine form represents certain form of Spiritual Intelligence. Now that we
Australians need Economic recovery – it would be wise to invoke the powers of Venkateshwarar
in Wollongong.
King Ravana ‘kidnapped’ Rama’s wife Seetha. But thereafter
he did not touch her without her consent. That was because of his prayer to
Shiva who is depicted with one wife.
Lord Hanuman – King of monkeys – had the Spiritual Intelligence
to fly without the aid of Artificial Intelligence.
When we believe, we go into virtual reality as if
the manifestation is happening at the present time. But once we come out of
that virtual reality mode – we must not use the outcome produced back then as
if we produced it. The BRI program by China failed due to the aim being
economic profit. If Ravana is invoked for similar purposes by Buddhists – the result
would be as disastrous as the Coronavirus and is likely to be another war in
the case of Lanka.
Ultimately we, as per our conscience must know that
what we do is right as per our own conscience. That develops Soul power within
us. Soul power is Universal power and invokes Spiritual Intelligence as per our
needs any time anywhere. That to me is the Ultimate Reality.
