Dual Citizen & War Crimes Allegations

I cancelled a booking for accommodation I had made through a booking agent. I felt a little bad about it but I was able to rise above it by reminding myself that I did not have cancellation fee when I provided accommodation for our Airbnb accommodation here in Sydney. To me the investment  here would produce real outcomes anytime anywhere so long as I was in charge. I believe that Gandhi also knew this intuitively – that his investment in rural India would produce results in British minds that were true to the British laws that he also had invested in. I applied this to Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s dilemma in terms of  Sri Lankan Presidency. The following message initiated by International Truth and Justice Project (ITJP) was the source that influenced this thought process:

[Press Release: Civil case filed in the US against Sri Lankan presidential hopeful Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Johannesburg:  The ITJP and the US law firm Hausfeld have filed a civil damages case in Califonia against former Sri Lankan defence secretary, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, on behalf of a Tamil torture survivor. Roy Samathanam made the complaint in the Central District of California against Mr. Rajapaksa, who is a dual US Sri Lankan citizen.

Notice was formally served on Mr. Rajapaksa on Sunday night at a Trader Joe’s parking lot in Pasadena. This was after the ITJP and Hausfeld hired private investigators to track down the whereabouts of Mr Rajapaksa who is currently on holiday in California. Notice was also served at the same time in a seperate case filed by another organisation on behalf of assassinated journalist Lasantha Wickrematunga. ]

Did this happen due to global citizens who have included Sri Lankan victims as part of themselves? Isn’t Sri Lanka then becoming global due to such global citizens who include? Every member of the Diaspora, has this higher opportunity to lead Sri Lanka to become global.

Was Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa such a citizen?  Colombo Telegraph article ‘Lasantha’s Daughter Sues Gota In LA; “Mr Nandasena, Here Are The Summons” gives us some indicators:
[Unlike strictures that bound other Secretaries of Ministries Gotabaya was not bound to follow any such rules. He was often seen making political speeches on behalf of his brothers and extended family. Any other government servant would have been issued a show cause and summarily dismissed. No, not Gotabaya. Apart from the whispered stories of white van abductions alluded to Gotabaya many were the published news of threats to journalists such as Poddala Jayantha and Fredrica Jansz. Yet this man wishes to be President of this country.]

One who is political in one country, automatically renounces citizenship in another. Our Truth confirms this. One who believes in god  and god’s universal power – would not insist on any particular religion. Likewise, one who is global would not need citizenship by law to ‘keep’ him separated.  Good politics is based on belief. Given that majority Sri Lankans are not driven by law covering national issues, it is faith that maintains the connection between the root and the top. Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa was NOT connected to the roots while LTTE did not invest at the top level. To the extent LTTE attacked outside the area of their faith – they earned a ‘foreign’ attack such as the one led by Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Likewise, to the extent Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa was American he was a foreigner who invaded Sri Lanka at the time of the attack. All prisoners of war under Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s command were/are  entitled to global judges in global courts – all because Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa was dual citizen.

The law prevents us from acting in breach of the fundamental tenets of humanity and its indwelling sovereignty. A dual national needs to be bound by the highest common laws of both nations. Given that Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa worked in Loyola Law School  in Los Angeles, U.S. as a Systems Integrator and Unix Solaris Administrator, his elevation as Defence Secretary in Sri Lanka demotes Sri Lanka’s status way below that of USA. This disorder showed up through the troops in the 2009 battle against Tamil Tigers who were denied access to their ‘foreign’ supporters. Those killings were foreign and  immoral and without the support of truth.  Any victim true to her/himself has the power to invoke natural punishment for the perpetrators.

In a disorderly system of human justice, Truth becomes the judge.
